***Review from a lash extension First Timer!*** See Pictures ***…read more Wow! I absolutely LOVE the way I look with my new set of lashes. I've gotten so many compliments and I can leave my house with no makeup (maybe just a little under-eye concealer) and look put together. Definitely a confidence booster! I got mine done 4 days ago on a Wednesday and this is how it went: Thursday at work: Female co-worker #1: "wow, look at your eyes- did you do something different? Me: "mmm, no. I just used mascara. What? Does it not look natural? Is it too much?" (i normally don't wear a lot of makeup) Female co-worker #1: "no, no, no, It looks very nice, i love it -- it gives you a pop! You hardly ever wear makeup and i love this" Me: "Eye lash extensions ;)" Female co-worker #1: "Omg, i gotta try that, blah, blah, blah" Female co-worker #2: we are talking by the coffee machine for like 5 minutes and all of sudden: "OMG you got lash extensions didn't you!!" me: "huh?" Female co-worker #2: "Yeah I know because my sister gets them done and she's been trying to get me to do them. I love them! you look awesome - maybe i'll try it one of these days" Male co-worker: comes over to chat and all of sudden "What did you do different? Did you do your hair? it looks nice" Me: "LOL" Friday: I asked my boyfriend, do you notice anything different? and he says no. Saturday: I was wearing no makeup and cuddling with my boyfriend and he was like "you are so pretty" --- I batted my lashes at him but he still didn't notice lol. The funny thing is that we were watching Coco and Ice and then the Khloe and Lamar - and for the first time I noticed that all these females on tv, the kardashians and all of them wear lash extensions. there's no way they are natural. Today - Sunday: mom looks at me and says wow you lashes are nice and long. Me: "Yeah mom, I've been using these oils and they grew lol" Mom: looks at me stunned like she wants the secret Me: lol "ok mom lash extensions, you want to try them?" lol o that reminds me, let me write a review. Tanya was my tech and she was very communicative, walking me through the entire process. She told me it can take up to an hour or sometimes longer and that i can take a little nap or ask any questions to help time pass by quickly. The procedure is not painful at all and although it took about an hour, time pass by very quickly as we were chatting most of the time - I had a lot of questions. She told me how to take care of my lashes and gave me a tips sheet to take home. In our chat learned that she started her business on Facebook as a home business and it was so successful that she opened up this lovely lash studio in Union Square. That to me is always a good sign. I highly recommend this business whether this is your first time and you haven't quite dared to let a chinese or Korean salon do it or whether you've done them before and are looking to try a different place.

She was very cautious and caring while applying the treatment, gave me instructions to take care of it and did an amazing job with the haircut. On top of that. Her prices are really reasonable. Btw. I had tape in extensions put on.

She spent over an hour and a half with me both times so make sure you have the time to spend there when you go and you won't be disappointed. The price is right too at $18 for a mani/pedi. I've been to more expensive salons that didn't do nearly as beautiful a job as Aida at Tres Suave. She's not there on Wednesdays or Sundays though, so there are no nail services on those days. It's probably best to call ahead.

Two women greeted us at the door and inquired about our needs. I informed her, and she subsequently asked the hair stylists if anyone was available. They all declined, seemingly based on our appearance. The salon had an all-white staff and clientele. They claimed to be fully booked. I inferred a discriminatory atmosphere. It appeared to be a racially insensitive environment. I would advise individuals of diverse backgrounds to exercise caution when considering this salon. The establishment's unwelcoming attitude raises concerns. I would rate them poorly. Their business practices seem exclusionary, prioritizing clients of a specific racial background.
