She is professional, caring, and always up on the latest research and techniques. We visited her in mid-June, under COVID-19 recommendations for patient safety. I don't normally write Yelp reviews for anything but food, but Dr. Arons is another story. I have been her patient since she started her practice, taking over from her predecessor Dr. Craig Shore. Andrea is simply the bomb ladies & gentlemen. You will not find a better dentist anywhere. She is honest, straight up, forthright, and will not BS you. At the same time she is a genuinely warm, caring and wonderful person. Her office is filled with laughter, light, and fun. Took my 13 yr old son for his first visit today and even he said he wants to come back here from now on. (Possibly the free chocolate goodies after the exam influenced him). I admit I am writing this review out of a slightly guilty conscience. Dr. Andrea Arens recently took over Dr. Craig Shore's dental practice and in doing so bought with her her own individual approach to the 'practice' of dentistry. At my routine cleaning I was informed of a potentially serious situation I had previously been wholly unaware of. This information came as a shock to me as no dentist had ever brought this issue to my attention and I will admit I was skeptical. A second and third opinion as well as an abundance of home research led me to not only believe what I was told by Dr. Arens but to be grateful for her keen diagnosis . I am now very optimistic about my dental health and know without a doubt I am in good hands in all respects . I was literally handed a 'second chance.'. Keen diagnostician aside, Dr. Arens is also a charming ,affable personality with an ironic sense of humor and as a mother of young children empathic as well as accessible as a woman. I did love Dr. Shore but that this practice is now owned and run exclusively by women makes it unique . I was dreading the transition of the practice but now I could not be happier. Educated at the prestigious and highly respected NYU school of dentistry , Dr. Andrea Arons is youthful, apprised of the latest in all things dental and a complete perfectionist. What a wonderful office, and experience. I have been avoiding going to the dentist for an embarrassingly long time, and finally a close friend convinced me to go see Dr. Arons. Everything about the experience was great. Her staff helped me figure out a minor insurance issue, got on the phone for me to gather some data I couldn't find, and got me in and out of the office inside an hour. I got X-rays, a cleaning, and a consult with Dr. Arons all in one hour. Needless to say I scheduled another appointment and I will be going to her for all of my dental needs. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Arons DDS to anyone looking for a dentist. Our entire family has been coming to this office for over 30 years. Formerly Dr. Shore brought Andrea(Dr. Arons) into the practice about 10 years ago and with just one visit we all knew why! Her customer service demeanor, patient and dental skills are just a few of her incredible talents on top of a great sense of humor! The doctor explains everything in detail and in layman's terms so even your children understand what she's talking about. The office constantly changes their equipment keeping up to date with the latest dental procedures which makes me feel very confident and relaxed knowing I'll be treated with modern, advanced, cutting edge technology. I also recently learned that the Dr. is also certified for the Invisalign teeth straightening service. She also knows so much more than just teeth, since she grew up here locally attending Agoura Hills High School. The entire staff of the office has been here for years and is fantastic, especially when it comes to scheduling, rescheduling appointments and emergency situation's along with practicing all of the safety protocols and procedures needed for COVID-19. Dr. Shore was my dentist for more than 30 years, and took excellent care of me, as well as my family! I have always taken good care of my teeth with twice a year cleanings and checkups! (I've only had 1 cavity in my entire life.) When Dr. Shore retired he sold his practice to this woman. I must say, I really can't attest to her dental skills because we never got past her chair side manner. To put it bluntly, she tried to bully me into X-rays to make sure she was legally protected. I'm not a believer in routine X-rays, as I lost my husband to cancer a few years back. My entire lifestyle is based around trying to eat well and avoid any toxins, poisons, radiation etc. I have doctors at the UCLA group that respect my views, and none of them try to bully me. This woman not only didn't listen to or respect my views, she admitted her main priority was to legally protect herself. I even mentioned I would sign a waiver and her response was that maybe someone else in my family might sue her. Anyway, I have found a new, and understanding, dentist but wish I hadn't been subjected to the stress and bullying I experienced! I really miss DR SHORE. read more

I am afraid of dentists. I put off cleanings as long as possible. I hyperventilate in elevators on my way. Dr. Arons is amazing! Gentle, efficient, reasonably priced, and everyone is so nice! She also found a potentially serious problem that had been missed repeatedly by my previous dentist, so now we can keep an eye on things. She patiently and completely explains everything, takes her time with you, and now, after 3 visits in the last year and a half, I am actually getting my teeth cleaned on a regular basis without my usual anxiety! A remarkable achievement both for me AND Dr. Arons! My entire family has switched to her, as have many friends, and we all love her, which is really something to say about your dentist! Dr. Andrea Arons is a young, intelligent, and beautiful dentist who is also a super mom. She is relatable, personable, and approachable. She is too good to be true! She is not only compassionate and gorgeous inside and out, but she is smart and knows her stuff! She can concisely explain her expert dental opinion to help a patient make a well-informed decision. To me, she is not only valuable because of her years of experience and her NYU dental education, but most importantly because she is a mom. Any health professional who is a mom has even more credibility because this person is patient, understanding, and has bedside manner that is beyond what any other medical professional can provide. She currently cares for me, my husband, and my two year old son. In person and on the phone, she is able to quickly listen and diagnose the issue. I will forever be indebted to Dr. Arons with the kindness she extended when my son gashed is lip and hit his two front teeth. She assurred me that it should be ok and a dental visit was unnecessary. She had a personal experience with a family member having a similar incident and the tooth turned grey but the blood flow resumed later and she was thankful she didn't proceed with child dental surgery. Her story reassured me that if I didn't see the same symptoms then my son's mouth and teeth were fine. In hindsight, this incident may have caused the natural severing of his frontal maxilary frenulum as she later explained. In another incident, she helped advise me with my husband's concern that he had this new feeling on his teeth like a fork scraped the side of his molars. She said that it must be natural abfraction that is exacerbated by stress and it most likely was because he was in law school. Her deep care and generosity of sharing knowledge at the benefit of her patients is so empowering for patients. In this day and age of millennials and the wealth of information and reviews out there...it is a wonder why other dentists have not followed suit with being transparent? Most people will research and call out dental bluff and read reviews! She really cares for what is best for the family while not taking advantage of the expense of the family. She is reasonably priced and provides exceptional service. My relative healthy teeth do not need dental insurance. It is cheaper to pay out of pocket. She is the only dentist I want to look at my teeth and I gladly pay. If I ever move out of Agoura Hills, I am driving all the way back to see only her and in the future if she moves, I will go to her new location. She has my utmost trust and respect. She is so knowledgeable and cares about the health of your teeth without giving you unnecessary recommendations. If she recommends something needs work, then it really means your teeth needs work. During my elementary years, my parents trusted the wrong dentists and I most likely have unnecessary ugly silver filings in my teeth all so those dentists could make a short term gain and a long term loss for the whole dentist industry. The reason why most people dread going to the dentist more than the physical pain is the pain to one's wallet. The phrase of your mouth has now become a money pit is so true. Before seeking Dr. Arons, I was told I had leakage in all of my fillings and they needed to be replaced and then in contrast from another dentist that I had one cavity. Shouldn't the expert opinion be a little more consistent? I was devastated and thought how can I have a cavity in an existing filling? My parents also spent thousands on orthodontic work that had to be supplemented with invisaligns in my adult years because I neglected to wear my retainers. I was about done with all the dental work in my mouth. Dr. Arons has been a breath of fresh air with her transparency and discussing how the conservativeness and aggressive treatment of other dentists is probably why I had so much work done. Unlike those previous dentists, her approach with me is to monitor and see how my genetics play into the progression of areas of concern. I am so thankful because I have no pain and did not want another thing done to my mouth unless it was between life and death. Her recent x-ray confirmed there is nothing to worry about. Only because I insisted, Dr. Arons did a follow up X-ray on the same area and still nothing to worry about. I am so relieved. More so than ever, I trust her because she can see and feel what is wrong with one's teeth without needing an x-ray confirmation. Rather than dreading the unnecessary cost and lost of peace of mind when going to the dentist, I am excited to see Dr. Arons because I can't wait to confirm my pride in maintaining my teeth. She is the only person I want to do dental work if I ever do need more than the routine cleaning. read more

I have finally found my dentist. She doesn't push cosmetics, and only cares about my dental HEALTH. I wasn't upsold in anything. The hygienist, Debbie, was gentle and thorough. Let's just say that my teeth have always been a money pit - genetics were not kind to me in that category so I have known, met and been worked on by more than my fair share of dentists and after FIFTY years, Dr. Arons is hands down my favorite.
