Every Filipino would've heard of Andok's "manok". If you don't tagalog, "manok" is chicken. In a nutshell, Andok's is usually a chicken and liempo rotisserie take-out kiosk that is basically found everywhere in the Philippines.
I can say this branch is one of the strongest. It's an Andok's for as long as I can remember. When we moved to its street (from the apartment a couple of blocks away), what was once a "special" take-out dinner is now the regular dinner. My family are lazy cooks you see, and we have been ordering food here almost everyday.
You can say Andok's is "meh" to me. Its recipe is great at times, but pretty regular for my tastes. The good thing I can say about this branch is that is has A LOT more than your usual Andok's food. It became a full-blown restaurant and beer place around 2008ish. I can also just conveniently cross the road, and get eggs here. And ice cream. And Pepsi. It's a lot of things in one place.
Recently, it's undergone a little renovation, making the place smaller to give way to a new convenience store, Budget Mart. I have no way of knowing if theyre owned by one dude or what, but it's a good thing. After all, Andok's never really get full at one time. They can manage with their size now. read more
