I looked all over town trying to find a rubber O ring that I needed for my whole house water filter which needed to be replaced when I changed out the filters.E everywhere I looked they either didn't carry the product or they had to be ordered and I would have to wait a minimum of 2 days or more.Aderson's Sierra pipe carried the product! This is the second time they "saved me". Last year I need a uncommon electrical plug for my generator. I checked all over and none of the stores had it in stock or didn't carry it. What's up with Sierra Pipe's service department these days? They've been our go-to source for all of our plumbing needs for years and we've referred many others. All that seems to have changed now. All of the staff that we knew there have left. We tried to buy a new toilet recently and schedule installation, but after coming to our house to see what's needed, we can't even get a return phone call now. I followed up three times with no results. What a shame - they were so awesome. read more

We have used this business multiple times. Have been very satisfied. But Covid is on the rise in this county and not one single employee (at least 6) were wearing masks. Clearly they do not care about my safety. When I mentioned that no one was wearing a mask, he was flippant and said Not Today! There was no signage either. This is an old school supply house so don't expect to see pricing published on the shelf. They have been around a long time, know the area, and are always willing to help someone out. Selection is great, staff is helpful, pricing is on par with the selection. I go here when I'm stumped, have pump issues, and need specialty items. We had just moved up here and discovered our water heater was full of rusty water. It was right before Christmas and we were concerned about cost. After just having bought a new house and paying movers I was wary of being ripped off. We were directed to Sierra Pipe by another local business. We went in and were greeted by a very nice gentleman who answered all of our questions and told us that the product was guaranteed by them longer than the manufacturers warranty. He assured us the item was in stock and ready to pick up. He handed us a calendar and told us to call if we had any further questions. We went home, discussed our options and went back down and purchased a new 75 gallon water heater. Now we can shower and bathe without the rust and can rest assured knowing Sierrs Pipe has our back! read more

Our well pump stopped working suddenly. They scheduled a time to check on it that afternoon and ended up coming earlier due to a dropped appointment. Found it was a maintenance issue that replied the replacement of two switches. Replaced them and were out in less than an hour. read more

Sierra Pipe is Awesome! There staff is very knowledgeable and they have just about everything that you could ever need for plumbing, electrical and or sprinkler projects. Typically they have 3-4 people that work the counter and 3-4 that work in the back of the store on commercial sales, plus a staff in the yard to assist with loading. Are they "Old School"........Hell yes and thank God for that!!! Other stores in town may have more people but they don't have near the knowledge and experience of this shop. If you need to get it done and done right then this is your store. They are not the absolute cheapest but are competitive with their pricing and when it comes to plumbing, electrical and irrigation projects cheaper is not always better. Absolutely horrible service! Elder abuse! Charged for a house call and customer wanted to know why his well was not working! Instead was told that his well was fine and pumping 1/2 gallon per minute! Seriously? That's fine? Thieves This man is 92 years old and needs working water or at the very least answers! Pros: they generally have most things related to pipe Cons: their staff has a sense of entitlement and condescending I buy stuff from them because there's nobody else in the area. It's like going into DMV where you watch 4-5 people doing nothing while you are simply standing there waiting (for no reason) to pay and check out. I've always seen one guy helping check out, three others screwing around behind the counter and 2 to 3 guys in cubicle area screwing off. They appear over-staffed (at least inside the store), but really hard to get someone to help you. I've had stuff on order for months and nobody ever follows up. Most of the workers I've encountered have a "chip" on their shoulder. read more

He thought of everything, right down to the D battery needed in the timer! He was extremely helpful with advice over the phone as well. (I was doing my own install). I found Anderson's listing as a supplier of North Idaho Energy logs and called them multiple times to gather information. Was told they were in ample supply, there was fast turn around, and gave them my address and was assured delivery was no issue, just costs a bit more due to my area. I had been repeatedly assured that I didnt need to give any specific order lead times. So when I saw the temperatures start to dip I called and placed my order. It struck me odd at the time that I was not given any specific delivery information at the time, was just told I would be called. After 5 days without hearing anything, I call them to check on the status. I was told that due to rain my delivery had been cancelled and there would need to be a reschedule. I understood but found myself wishing for communication of these details, but specifically said nothing at the time. After over a week from order had passed, with no one contacting me once, I call Anderson's again to get an idea of whats going on. For multiple days it had been falling to 45 degrees inside my house and I live with my 68 year old mother, and the day before and day of my call were estimated clear days. I was told the driver would contact me when they were going to deliver, or I could cancel my order if that time frame did not work. The person I spoke to explained he was just a counter guy and offered to let me speak to his boss, which I accepted. I explained the whole situation, as well as how I had been assured this exact scenario would not happen, to which he replied that "we all knew winter was coming 3 months ago" and that I could drive up and pick them up. I explained that I do not own a truck, which was the driving reason for delivery, and that the assurances I was given was the reason I had chosen to order from them how I did. I was informed that "from the way you are talking to me" that he wished to go our separate ways and cancel my order outright. This has been the worst experience with any vendor I have ever had, and it shows that they truly do not care at all about anyone who is trying to order from them. They have quite literally left myself and my mother out in the cold because they did not care, and apparently the premium delivery fee is not enough for them. I would say this clearly demonstrates that any customer would see the same level of care the moment they do not feel like offering a service, which makes for a company I would strongly recommend avoiding. read more

We had a major malfunction of our irrigation system. They jumped on the problem, provided great communication as to scheduling, trouble-shooting and resolution of problem. I live in a rural area of Lincoln. I have used Sierra Pipe on several occasions. A few of these have been for emergency/urgent needs. They have always sent someone out to address the problem in a timely manner....a few hours, the same day. A few other times have been for non urgent problems and they have sent a repair tech within a day or two, and they have always asked me if this works into my schedule. We have many (10 -- 12) horses on the property and if I have problems with my well pump and can't get fresh water for our animals, we're in some trouble, especially if the weather is warm. I've always felt they do their best to get someone out here as quickly as possible. Their techs have even made suggestions to me on ways I can keep my equipment operating and avoiding costly repairs. The techs they send out are all friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer my questions. A few times the repair bill has been more than I have allowed for in my monthly budget and after calling their office, I've been able to set up a payment schedule. Their office staff are also friendly and accommodating. One more thing, a few times I've had to go into their supply store looking for a part...sometimes I have been able to bring in the broken part to show them what I'm looking for and at other times I just go and try to describe what I need. Being a woman in my 60's, I more often than not don't know what I'm doing. Their counter guys have all been patient and helpful. In short, this business really takes care of their customers and I would highly recommend them. read more

I had an incredible experience last week at Anderson's Sierra Pipe. I was a little bit intimidated when I walked in because the store was clearly bustling with folks who do irrigation/plumbing for a living and I literally knew nothing. I actually almost left because I thought I would be too embarrassed to admit that I would need a full on lesson in drip lines. I am so very glad I didn't, Mark was amazing. He not only helped me pick out everything I needed to get up and running but also gave me a mini lesson on how to connect everything. This dude was the absolute BEST! I had my system set up in a matter of hours and am so very grateful for all the help I received. I will never go to home depot again for any irrigation/plumbing needs, I will go straight to Anderson's Sierra Pipe every-time. You just can't get this level of service anywhere else. read more

This business fails to realize that local customers "choose" to shop at their store because we want to support the commuinty. It's not because they are God's gift to the plumbing world. If we're honest, it is more of a "transaction of mercy" and without local customers their business would go belly up. My main issue with this place is the attitude of the staff. We bought over $50k's worth of irrigation materials over the past 10 years form Sierra pipe. At the end of our recent project, we tried to return some left over Schedule-80 PVC parts and they wouldn't take them back. Even their owner turn us down. We offered 50c on the dollar and restocking fees, but still they wouldn't take them back. We won't be dealing with them any more. A professional company offers more flexibility, customer service, than this.. you need more of a partnering company. read more

We were able to fix the pump problem ourselves which was estimate over $500 by local company. We would not be able to achieve this without the great help from a guy there named Edward, and also special thank you to Sharla. He looked at the broken metal pipe and told us he couldn't do it. That was the extent of his visit. What he meant to say was "I don't want to do it" or perhaps "I'm too busy to do it". Andersons has a huge inventory of plumbing supplies, for large and small projects. You will find knowledgeable help here. Larger items can be delivered for a reasonable fee. Water heater went out on a Sat morning and Anderson's was closed. Went to Home Depot who advertises installation service with them. Our Home Depot associate called an outside vendor they use to get a quote for an installation for the following week. It was $1,700.00. $1,200.00 was the labor on a $500.00 water heater. No joke here. Declined their offer and called Anderson's first thing Mon morning. Saved ourselves $900.00 and received a much better water heater and 2 very experienced installers came as the existing heater was up off the ground 5 feet tucked up in a corner in the garage. From the initial phone call to request service, quote, scheduling and installation was by far the best experience we have ever had using an outside service. Anderson's has a solid reputation and they just proved to us why. read more
