Later, after speaking with his father, he came back with an offer to take half of what I held back, not do the work in question and be done with it. Again, he persisted in trying to convince me that what I expected would never be agreed to by them. In the end, he took my check and proceeded to tell me "Never to call him again!" and that he hoped I could sleep at night and called me an idiot. A neighbor of mine, who is a contractor, reviewed the contract and told the son that he believed that I was I was in the right. Such aggravation!

This has been the worst construction experience of my life. What was represented as a project that…read morewould take a few months is now over a year delayed and remains unfinished. I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars, yet the property has been left with serious workmanship and electrical issues. Walls were damaged during construction, electrical circuits continue to trip, paid-for light switches were never installed, kitchen cabinetry that I paid thousands for is defective and visibly misaligned, and newly installed doors are already showing paint failure. These photos reflect just some of the current conditions. Despite this, both the contractor and their attorney are asserting that the job is "complete." This experience has been extremely stressful, disruptive, and disappointing.
