On our first project, they did some minor remodeling in our kitchen, and we were impressed with their attention to detail, quality, and integrity. On the second project we had THB construct a two-car garage with a second story. The neighbors and other contractors in the neighborhood were impressed by their progress and quality. Sergio and his team worked diligently to complete the addition on schedule. He had to deal with Tahoe weather, a tight schedule and Tahoe challenges. Throughout the project, Sergio was responsive and communicated clearly. He was very easy to work with, and he was highly skilled at working with the third parties. He kept the project moving forward with cost effective solutions when we faced challenges. He also has an excellent reputation with the planning department and inspectors. Upon receiving our project's final inspection, the building department commented they had never seen a project completed this quickly in the Tahoe Basin. We can't say enough about Sergio and his team. They are very professional, high-quality builders, and they deliver on time and on budget. They are a pleasure to work with. We will work with Tahoe Home Builder on future projects.

We had to overcome some obstacles such as; living very far from the construction site (FL), and a pandemic. Rob (the owner), who is a 3rd generation contractor, met us promptly after our initial inquiry. Not only was his project plan comprehensive and pricing competitive but we just got a really good "member of the family" vibe from him. It's such a leap of faith to trust someone with an asset like a house but we are so glad we took that leap with Rob. The project included flooring, every inch of electrical, modified interior framing, insulation, complete kitchen, complete master bath reconfiguration, half bath refresh, sheet rock, trim, painting and the occasional psychotherapy session when we encountered a few surprises along the way. Rob was patient, kind, thorough and had a crazy eye for detail. One of the things that really set him apart from other general contractors we've worked with in the past is the quality of subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, tile, etc) and how closely he manages those critical resources. If he says countertops are going in on a Thursday, they are going in on a Thursday. On one hand, the thought of going through another remodel gives me PTSD since I'm ready to just enjoy our home without making a dozen decisions per day for several months. But on the other hand, we are going to miss seeing him so often and will make him our first (and ONLY) call when it's time for the next project.

We embarked on an extensive Kitchen/Laundry/5 bathroom remodel with Griggs and his team in 2015 into 2016. From start to finish, we received nothing but professionalism, skill and well thought-out advise. Aaron and his staff displayed a wealth of knowledge and we developed a great relationship with excellent communication. We believe each of his subs were the very best the region has to offer. Each with a strong attention to detail in their area of expertise. As a testament of our faith and trust in their work, we realized that we did not have to oversee their work on a daily/weekly and basis. We left the job in Aaron's capable hands halfway through the project and went back to the Bay Area. We visited and checked in regularly but had faith the job would be done to our expectations in our absence. At the end, we have no regrets in doing so. Now that the job is complete, we are thrilled with our new home. We also know that Griggs will stand by their work going forward. We are lucky to have found a Fine Home Builder with Integrity!
