I said that's funny i just got the brakes and rotors done less than 2 years ago. They quoted me over $1219 just for the front ones! I told them i would get a second opinion. Turns out my front brakes are good for at least another year and my back brakes for at least 2 to 3 years!! Rotors and calipers all good. Kal tire you are full of it! and it was the manger that tried to lie to me and rip me off !!!

I was looking for a set of tires for all seasons including winter, I was shown a set of Nokian tires that I absolutely love! Those tires have gotten me through winters and summers with only having to do regular rotations. I've only had a flat on them once and the guys at Kal Tire on Sooke road took care of me and repaired my flat free of charge and sent me on my way with a smile :) Thank you and I've definitely found my favorite tire and repair shop! I'll be honest, I hate car dealerships and shopping for cars due to experiences being ignored by…read moresales associates in the past. I think any sales associate should treat each potential buyer equally and provide the same service whether you are a young first time buyer, or spoiling yourself with a nice vehicle during retirement. Thankfully I met Tyson Johnson at Porsche Victoria who made the experience as easy as it could be. It has been a childhood dream of mine to drive a Porsche and I almost pulled a trigger on an '82 911 SC about 15 years ago but decided at the time that it would be a lot more work than I expected. I was in the market for a newer car and had visited the Porsche Langley dealership and had an unfortunate experience there... thankfully Porsche Victoria had a build that was similar to what I wanted and I contacted Tyson as a cold call. From the beginning he was respectful, timely, and took me seriously when I told him that I was going to be making a decision very quickly and when I told him what I was looking for. There was no "car salesman" speech and Tyson definitely has a passion for the Porsche brand. I would recommend Porsche Victoria and Tyson to anyone who is in the market for a Porsche (or any other car they may have on their lot) and wants to have a stress-free experience. Their out of town program provides great value even if it means taking the time and money to make the ferry ride over. Sales manager Jason Mui was also a pleasure to deal with, as was Adam Lee who helped when I was discussing the financing of the vehicle.

I recently took my car there and got the run around on when the car would be finished - anywhere from 13 to 16 to 21 days. Dropped the car off on a Tuesday and it didn't go into the shop until Friday (got a text on the Friday afternoon before the long weekend) so I could have kept it for a couple of days and not used a rental car. They told me 3 times that the parts had come in and then I find out that some were on back order from Germany and that's why it took so long. No one mentioned this issue. They need to improve their customer service, work on customer expectations and communications. They were very proud of the fact that they would text me the progress of repairs but every time it was from a different person with more bad news. I lodged a complaint with BCAA about this and a note will be put on their file. I believe that something happened with this as suddenly the car was ready a week before the last projected end date. So maybe its good to complain, but a customer shouldn't have to. I must say the quality of workmanship was good, but their customer service left me wondering if we would take a car there again.
