We used Anderson Moving to move us into a much smaller home than the one we had lived in for over 23 years. We had bought a house before we sold our other house and did not have time to reduce the amount of furniture and stuff before we needed to move. So we had a lot of stuff to move. I was amazed how professional Jake and his crew were. They communicated with one another about how they would go about picking up the heavy items, the type of lift and equipment to be used, looking out for one another and warning about potential hazards or issures such as doorways that could be bumped with the furniture as they were carrying it or things in their way. My impression was that these fellows are more than just brawn, they make decisions using their intelligence and conditions and facts, in front of them, that is cerebral. The move itself was done on one of those brutally hot days on July 31. The men performed the job on time, never damaged anything they touched, when we changed our minds about where we wanted some furniture they never rolled their eyes or made us feel uncomfortable about asking for them to move it somewhere else. Finally, they always portrayed a positive attitude and seemed to enjoy working together accomplishing this difficult type of work. I had found Jake through "Thumbtack" after doing a search for movers in the Eau Claire, Wisconsin area. I was helping our adult son arrange a move from a one-bedroom apartment in Eau Claire to a bigger apartment in Milwaukee. He was switching jobs with short notice, and we needed to arrange the move fairly quickly. Jake got back to me very quickly after I made the initial inquiry through Thumbtack, and gave me a very reasonable quote after requesting information as to how much we had to move. He also arranged to move Michael's belongings on the Saturday of Easter weekend, and managed the time perfectly - arriving early and when promised, and getting Michael into the Milwaukee apartment as quickly as possible. We knew ahead of time that there might be no elevator available in Milwaukee, to move into a 3rd floor apartment, and Jake did ask for an additional $100 to cover the extra time necessary for his movers to use the stairs - which was very reasonable. I was not there for the actual move, but Michael said that Jake and his associate were very nice guys and very professional, and the move went very smoothly. I doubt that we would have the need to use Anderson Moving again, as we do not anticipate a future move back to the Eau Claire area, but would not hesitate to call Jake. I hired Anderson Moving to move myself and my son to two locations. Jake contacted me within 24 hours and the arrangements were made for the move. Jake and his team of two showed up on time, moved all my furnishings into the truck, and then moved all my son's things into the same truck. They traveled approx. 30 miles to my son's new apartment and dropped off his furnishings and then traveled another five miles and unloaded my furnishings at my new apartment. All this took place in three and a half hours. All the furnishings arrived undamaged and placed were we needed them placed. Jake and his team of movers are the best! Jake and Anderson moving were the best movers I have ever dealt with. He was prompt in responding to our initial request for a bid and did 2 jobs for us. One was in state, moving an antique roll top desk that was delivered in better shape than it left in! The second was cross country. He loaded a condo's worth of boxes and furniture in less than 2 hours and delivered everything in perfect condition exactly when he said he would--to the minute. This is the 2nd time in 6 months I have used Anderson Moving. They are very personable, prompt and careful with my stuff. They took apart everything that needed it and put it back together. They made sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it. Sure I could have paid some friends with pizza and beer to move me, but my stuff is really heavy and couldn't do that to them, so for a few bucks more why not pay for it. The 2 movers did excellent work on our move. We had a 2 bedroom with really challenging stairs and they made it look easy. They had plenty of strength and were excellent communicators.
