I paid $2800 for a few palms he said would make a great privacy fence and do well. After 18 months they are not doing well... same height or less, one is about 3 ft tall. But still, after they caught wind of the reviews they reached out and were adamant to make it right. Todd came back out and said they're doing better now and he thinks they will grow if I'm patient. After months of searching for a company (or various companies or individuals) to undertake a complete backyard overhaul, we settled on Anderson Landscaping. The scope of the project included a brand new fence around the entire perimeter of the house, the addition of two new fence doors (for a total of four new fence doors), removal of a fair sized existing concrete slab, paver installation, crushed granite installation along both sides of the house, and finally laying new sod and planting shrubs and trees. Before Anderson Landscaping came to our attention, we had been unable to find a company who did it all. We tried to separately coordinate fence people, with paver people, with landscaping people, all to no avail. Sadly, in Miami, the concept of customer service is lost on most of these tradespeople. But not on Anderson Landscaping! Previous to Anderson Landscaping we had dealt with people or companies who either didn't return initial inquiry calls, or made the site visit and said they would quote and never did, or quoted and then disappeared when we wanted to engage them with the work. If you're looking for a company that does it all, and does it professionally, within budget, and on time, then don't waste your time or look any further. Just call Tod Anderson and thank me later. From day one, up until weeks after the project was completed and we had follow-up questions, Tod was courteous, professional, and prompt in all our dealings with him. If he didn't answer our calls right away, he would call back within a couple of hours, if not sooner. We always felt like we knew exactly where we stood with him, and we were always confident about a successful outcome to our project. Months before the start of the project, he had provided us with an estimated start date, and continually updated us on it, and ultimately started EARLIER than projected. His crew are also all very competent and professional, and worked diligently and completed the entire project in around 10 business days. They were on site every single weekday during the two week term of the project. It's been almost a month and a half since they completed the work and we couldn't be happier with the results. Tod and his crew transformed what was previously an unusable, barren wasteland into a lush garden oasis that we now look forward to stepping out into. It is with great pleasure I am writing this review for Tod Anderson and his crew at Anderson Landscaping, LLC. Tod Anderson and his crew did an outstanding job removing my overgrown backyard and replaced it with a beautiful, tropical landscape that included a soothing custom water feature. In addition, his team installed grass that enhanced the backyard and turned it into a lush, green oasis. His selection of various palms and butterfly attracting plants has invited nature into the landscape with songbirds and butterflies that has made it a unique private sanctuary. His whole team worked tirelessly over the course of a couple of weeks to transform our rundown backyard, rebuilding the broken-down fence, removing dead and overgrown plants such as bamboo and firebushes, replacing them with new palms and colorful plants, turning an eyesore into an inviting refuge. Tod's diligence, his excellent listening skills, eye for color, and passion for horticultural design really transformed our backyard into a tropical getaway and surpassed our expectations. Furthermore, Tod's whole crew from his office managers to his yard workers are all blue-chip assets to his business. It is comforting to know that there are people out there who follow through on what you ask them to do - from listening to our vision during our first consultation to interpreting and delivering on it. I've discussed with him future plans for a phase two project which will continue to create an inviting design for our front yard that completes and complements the back yard. Todd is a wonderful professional and he and his team did an amazing job In my front yard. Also, Natasha at the office is a sweetheart and she is very professional as well. Todd gave me credit for a deposit of more than a year first. I had to put the landscaping job on hold: first, we had to take care of some house work like the roof and pavers installation before landscaping and then Covid hit with all its repercussions of quarantine and people losing jobs. Plus, he didn't even plant them with new dirt. Simply moved over all the rocks and stuck them in the dirt while I was at work. I BEG him daily to please take away the trees. We received the services from Anderson Landscaping (design and planting) for our patio. Our soil is not good for certain plants and he recommend the best species for low watering and minimum attention on this specific conditions. I think Osvaldo V. said it just about perfectly, but I would like to add that their follow up service has been excellent, too. The pump for my water garden died and my fish were gasping for air, so I called the office and a team member arrived the same day, replaced the motor and saved my fish. Todd and his team first created a little oasis I call The Glade off of my back patio, then came back 8 years later and resurfaced the entire patio. Peaking through the tropical vegetation I spotted a rainforest fit to be on the front of a travel magazine. I recently bought a new home in Key Largo. Not doing a lot of research (Which I know I should have) I called Todd Anderson. Todd actually showed up as planned. This is rare in Florida. He came up with a plan and executed. When the job started I was surprised on how hard all of his workers worked. No messing around. Everyday they showed up like clockwork at 9 am and left at 2 pm. My job was pretty extensive and overall I am very happy. We have some ground shrubs that don't look the best but I am sure Todd will fix it. We contracted with Anderson Landscaping to design the landscaping around our property. It is a standard size lot 75' x 100'. We wanted to include decking or pavers in the backyard. Tod provided a great layout of the project and was very helpful and attentive to our needs. He liked some of the existing landscaping and was able to design something that was very nice. The pavers are beautiful as well as the landscaping. The personal that did the work were true professionals and were very conscious when planting the new foliage. Do not fall for Tod Anderson's fast, persuasive talk. He comes over for your free estimate and tells you what a beautiful and detailed master plan he will put together for a non-refundable deposit. In the end, he draws up a few lines, stamps a few palm trees on the drawing and calls it a day. Regrettably, I gave him this hefty deposit for the "master plan". After seeing what little effort and thought was put into it, I decided not to go forward with any other services. I explained to him that I felt he had falsely advertised what I would get and begged for at least a portion of our deposit back, to no avail. I ultimately had to settle for some less than desirable palm trees in lieu of our money. Give serious consideration to giving this company any money up front. read more

ALERT- DON'T FALL FOR HIS FAST TALK!!! - I think a customer needs to feel they are getting their money's worth. You definitely will not feel this with Anderson Landscaping. I made the mistake of not getting involved in the landscaping project in my house and I feel he took advantage that I was not part of the negotiation. What I paid for and what I got has a very big gap in it. The plants were no more than 700.00 and it was 1/2 day of work. This was not worth 4,900.00. I was ripped off. Lots of money in advance for some "make believe" planning...I guess he needed to finance other jobs. Update (3/25/16) - 75% of the plants have died although water and fertilizer has been used and all the old plants that were planted are coming through the soil meaning that there was no digging. ********WHAT A RIP OFF*********** read more

Before hiring Tod, I was working with another landscaper who didn't have the resources to build a patio or do other hardscaping. Tod Anderson was able to put in the hardscaping, as well as pick out the right plants and install lighting.. His designs were very creative and he has a huge knowledge of plants. I was expecting the project to go on for months, but Tod had everything done from start to finish in about 2 weeks. This included demolition, hardscaping, plant installation and lighting installation. He also worked with a good sprinkler system installer who coordinated together with Tod. His workers were very friendly and Tod was always available. He also did some post-completion follow-up when I was having trouble with some patches of sod.
