This ferry has been running 200 years! Well...maybe not THIS ferry but some ferry. GPS warned of heavy traffic on I 75 thru Cincinnati, so my son knew the drill. He saved his @as before when he would have missed his flight so he headed here. We just missed it, but in short order it was back. 16 cars drove on (seems like the limit but I can't attest to that) We had to wait a few minutes until a barge passed...wouldn't want to tangle with that. Cost is a reasonable $5. It was fun Some sunny day I want to do it just for fun. But today it saved us time and frustration.

Anderson Ferry is real reasonable rate, $2 for motorcycle. Short distance from Turfway. Takes you out a lot of traffic, if your going on west side of Cincy. Trip across is pretty quick & everyone was friendly. Remember it's cash only.. $5 for car & $1 for bicycle

In operation since 1817, the Anderson Ferry is a scenic and, believe it or not, fairly quick way to get to/from Cincinnati's west side to/from Kentucky's riverfront. Running year round across the Ohio River, the ferry takes off on the Kentucky side just 3 miles north of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport near the intersection of KY-20 and the River Road. On the Ohio side, you can find the ferry at the very end of Anderson Ferry Road at OH-50/River Road. During the summer months (May-Oct) the ferry runs daily 6A-945P. During the winter (Nov-Apr), it runs 6A-8P. Saturdays and Sundays it opens a little later, 7A and 10A, respectively. This is a great way to get to or from the airport or if you're just out for a bike ride on a summer afternoon. Cars $3.50 Motorcycles $2.00 Bicycles $1.00 Pedestrians $0.50 Kids and Pets are Free

Running 2 ferries due to bridge traffic means quick route home to Cincy from airport area. Always great friendly service on and off the boats. Have your $5 cash ready or buy rides online. A historic landmark for good reason!

Nothing better than a lazy Sunday drive down Route 8 and across the Anderson Ferry. Step back in time to a ferry that has been in operation since the Monroe Administration. On either side you pull up and wait no more than ten minutes. This gives you plenty of time to soak in the rolling hills, lush with rich green in the spring and summer months, of the Mighty Ohio River Valley. The ferry operator will collect your money once the boat gets moving. Once on the boat there are so many things to do during the short five minute voyage. You could stay in your car like a lame, or get out and feel the breeze blow in your hair and further enjoy the sights. You might even harken back your school days and pretend that its the Oregon Trail and you are fording a river (don't loose the oxen!) or you could try and figure out the angle and velocity needed to get to the other side (pyshics wasn't my thing). But if you are most people, you will just take photos and walk around the deck. Whatever you choose to do with those few brief moments, it is hard to argue the beauty that you get to see on this nautical voyage, and brief enough that you won't get seasick. The hours vary by season, as the river fluctuates. There usually isn't a problem but it is a river, and despite our best efforts, we can't control it entirely so the ferry could be delayed or not operate. Weather permitting, from Nov-Apr its open 6am-8pm and on Sunday opens at 10am. From May-Oct its 6am-9:45pm and Sunday opens at 9am. Closed on Christmas Day. Cars are 4, trucks are 4 and up, round trip is 7, and if you are bold enough you can cross it on foot or bike for much less. If you choose this route there is plenty of parking on both sides. Again, perfect for lazy drives for going to either Delhi or Boone County, yes there are some things to do in the County of Boone. Not quite a three hour tour, but toss in that lead foot for a pair of sea-legs, a ball cap for a pirate hat, and sunglasses for an eye patch, for a great 5 minutes of nautical awesomeness. And it will only set you back 4 doubloons!

Best way to get to CVG from the westside! Beats running into traffic on 75...

The gps led us here, crazy but fun. They have one running after 6:45. I think bumper to bumper traffic is faster.

Always great to take the Ferry. It's easy and saves a lot of driving when I'm going to the airport. It's reliable and fun to ride.

I could bring it up in Google and other maps but I was asked to call back after they contacted their app's IT support. I did and the same thing happened. Out of frustration, they used another address close to mine and said they would add notes with my address for the driver. The pickup was scheduled for 3:00 so the guest of honor would get here by the start of the event at 4:00. To my dismay, the driver showed up at my address around 3:15 for the pickup instead of the address I had provided. When I called to ask what happened, I was told the pickup and drop off addresses had been switched in their system and they had no idea how. So, the guest of honor arrived late to his own party! Given this and the expense of the service, I was very disappointed and would not use or recommend Ride A Wav.

ANYTHING else will be a better choice for you than Cincinnati Bell. I have used this service for over 20 years, (because I am a fool, basically), and consistently for over 20 years, I have spent HOURS upon HOURS on the phone with customer service to straighten out consistent incorrect billing. It could be anything from just an accounting mistake, to breaking promises of promotional offers, to returning cable equipment and not getting credit for it, etc. I have been on hold for no less than an hour each time, and more than 3 hours many times. The customer service people will LIE to you - and often. They have told me they will call me back, and dont. They have said they need to put me on hold for "2 minutes" but its closer to 20 minutes - every time. They have said there is no manager on duty, or that I can wait for a manager and they forget about me after an hour wait. It must be part of their training, or lack there of. They still have the wrong phone number on file for me after I have tried to change it for 10 years. They still accuse me of not returning equipment even though I have a receipt to confirm I have. So they continue to charge me $462 for equipment I returned 4 months ago, and when I pay for the internet service that I have, which is $80, they charge me a late fee every month because of the outstanding equipment fees. However, when I call, the customer service rep says they do have proof that I have returned the equipment. Then I get a letter every month threatening me to go to collections for outstanding equipment fees. Cincinnati Bell is a complete and total nightmare!
