I was a loyal customer for over 20 years with Cincinnati Bell. When I finally decided to change my carrier because Cincinnati Bell didn't offer Iphones, they charged me for a month of service I didn't even use, and they refused to prorate because they dont prorate terminations only new customers get prorated at the begining of there contracts. I am glad that I am no longer a customer. I am looking forward to paying my last phone bill with over 6300 pennies. I hope they have fun counting all of them!!! read more

If you have the option to use Cincinnati Bell as your home or cellular telephone service, or as your internet provider, or for Fioptics cable, I encourage you to think otherwise. ANYTHING else will be a better choice for you than Cincinnati Bell. I have used this service for over 20 years, (because I am a fool, basically), and consistently for over 20 years, I have spent HOURS upon HOURS on the phone with customer service to straighten out consistent incorrect billing. It could be anything from just an accounting mistake, to breaking promises of promotional offers, to returning cable equipment and not getting credit for it, etc. I have been on hold for no less than an hour each time, and more than 3 hours many times. The customer service people will LIE to you - and often.They have told me they will call me back, and dont. They have said they need to put me on hold for "2 minutes" but its closer to 20 minutes - every time. They have said there is no manager on duty, or that I can wait for a manager and they forget about me after an hour wait. It must be part of their training, or lack there of. They still have the wrong phone number on file for me after I have tried to change it for 10 years. They still accuse me of not returning equipment even though I have a receipt to confirm I have. So they continue to charge me $462 for equipment I returned 4 months ago, and when I pay for the internet service that I have, which is $80, they charge me a late fee every month because of the outstanding equipment fees. However, when I call, the customer service rep says they do have proof that I have returned the equipment. Then I get a letter every month threatening me to go to collections for outstanding equipment fees. Cincinnati Bell is a complete and total nightmare! read more

Cincinnati Bell outsourced their technical support to Comcast. That means there is no longer any technical support in the Lebanon, Ohio area. My router kicked off my network so all I needed was for it to be set up once again. I called tech support through Cincinnati Bell this morning and was on HOLD for 2 HOURS 4 MINUTES. There was no recording prompt that said the Comcast office was closed for holiday. I called the Comcast national office earlier this morning and was told the Lebanon office will be open until 10pm. As I am listening to the man tell me my call is important over and over again, I decide I'm driving to the office (at that point I was probably going to throw a fit) only to see that THE OFFICE IS CLOSED FOR HOLIDAY. In my contract, I am promised technical support. This is not the first time I've driven through a storm to fix my WIFI (which is always kicking itself off for unknown reasons, the modem is fine). I called once and they told me that I had to bring the modem into their office in person, which I did, only to hear that the modem is fine and NOW they're going to send a man to my house. THE NEXT MORNING. All night I worked on that modem myself and fixed it myself at 2am. I called that night and reached another country. I told this man that I wanted to cancel the visiting tech for the following morning and the man on the phone laughed. I got a funny feeling and sure enough, he never canceled it. He lied to me. The tech showed up and I let him no I no longer needed him. So the phone center has untrustworthy employees and Comcast Lebanon office leaves Lebanon without technical support. So today, during my magical trek to Comcast, I decide to make a detour to the Cincinnati Bell Office only to find a woman who looks scared of me (I had rolled out of bed and probably looked like a wet Golem) who concedes that there is zero technical support in the area for the day. She gives me a bunch of BS about how to Google my router which I knew was BS at the time but I tried it on a non secure network. It didn't work. She was just trying to get me out of there so I wouldn't scare the family who was shopping in the store. I've worked retail for 20 years and would never tell the customers to run but I should have. I feel like I did these customers a disservice. So I am without WIFI on my only day off this week. This will happen to you one day. IN SHORT, I WILL BE GETTING TIME WARNER ASAP. IF YOU GET CINCINNATI BELL, YOU WILL WAIT AT LEAST 45 MINUTES FOR BILLING, TECH QUESTIONS AND THERE IS LITTLE TECH HELP. BUY TIME WARNER. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. read more

I asked it to have my home ph changed due to nuisance calls. Rep assured me the standard, "...has been changed, the new number is..." message would not be on the new ph. Today I found out it IS...and I'm getting the nuisance calls again. I called CBT again, and the rep agreed it was not set up correctly, and he would handle it. I got home tonight...no phone service. No dial tone. I tried calling the new home ph number from my cell phone, and sure enough, message, "Number has been disconnected." I called the "old" phone number , and the message is STILL on directing callers to the new disconnected phone. Naturally, I call CBT (for the 3rd and 4th times this week), only to be told no one can help me until tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, my ADT alarm system has no way of alerting the proper authorities in the case of a fire/break-in, etc. This is ridiculous. One screw up from the very self assuring rep on Monday was forgivable, but another from a different rep in just a few days?! read more

Unfortunately, I'm an Active Customer. My problem with this company is that I'm paying around $110.00 per month, after taxes for a Smartphone. My plan includes; 700 mins, 2GB of Data; Unlimited Text. I also have an issue with them outsourcing their customer support. Every time I call them, I get the runaround, and can't understand a freakin word they're saying. If Cincinnati Bell lowered their Cell Phone Plans, eliminated their contracts and offered reduced rate phones to their loyal customers, I would have a different opinion. It would also be of great help if they offered monthly payment installments to purchase a phone, without having the entire bundle with them. Bringing their Customer Service back to America would also be a PLUS. read more
