I had to cease care here because I became too exhausted by the rudeness of the office manager. For instance, when I had just arrived as a new patient and she was explaining that they screen everyone for sleep apnea, she gleefully informed me that she "was already seeing some signs!" that I had it. Telling someone you just met moments ago that they look like they have sleep apnea is objectively rude. (I do not have sleep apnea. I had simply been up late crying the night before!) Another example: she kept harassing me about the fact that I requested Covid precautions for my appointments. She repeatedly pressured me in a very loud and condescending, almost teasing, tone of voice to give some sort of health reason for these requests (even though I had filled out their in-depth health history form). I was simply too exhausted by this bullying to return for my next appointment. No patient--of any health status/background--should have to defend why they do not want to catch Covid or other airborne viruses at the dentist. Please, kindly, consider toning down the attitude toward patients. They are just trying to get their dental care in peace. The dental care and the rest of the staff were all great!

I've now had multiple treatments here and really appreciate the time Dr Khan takes to thoroughly assess each tooth to provide the right treatment plan. The facility is great and very well run. There are tvs in each room, modern equipment such as 3d handheld teeth scanners for more precise /comfortable imaging (I've ordered 2 night guards that fit great the first time they were made vs other offices where they've had to be redone, and the tooth images for fillings/crowns have been high quality showing the problem from multiple clear angles), and all of the office staff wear ear radios to communicate and get the patients in and out quickly. Unlike other offices that sometimes are eager to perform any procedure if there is a hint of problem, Dr Khan truly seems to look out for the patients interest and will choose to monitor teeth if there isn't an urgent need to work on them or suggest less invasive treatments (ie filling Vs crown) in attempts to minimize tooth surface loss.

I called this office and they were able to get her in next day. My gram hasn't been to the dentist in a decade due to costs and this office didn't judge her for that. They were so kind and told her what needed to be done right away and gave her a plan of things she needs to do next. This visit was months ago and I forgot to review but we will be returning to continue all her dental work soon. When it came to costs the staff called me and explained the breakdown and options to pay. They were great with communication, the only downside is they tend to be slow. My gram said they were helping a lot of patients at once so that must be why but just expect a bit of a wait when you are seen. Overall great experience despite the appointments taking a long time.

Our first visit to the orthodontist for a consultation. There is a parking garage next door, where…read morethe first 2 hours are free. It was a little hard to find the office (not their fault) because of the building design and lack of a map at the front. Anyway, once we found the office, we were greeted and had a smooth check-in process. Only 1 form to fill out! We met with the patient coordinator, who asked a few questions and then passed that info along to the doctor. He came in and examined my son, then gave us his recommendation and answered our questions. He was very friendly and professional. Then the patient coordinator discussed payment options. All in all, a very positive visit. If we come back for braces, I will update my review.

Bronson family dentists are an actual family of dentists (like, everyone there is part of the…read morefamily including the front desk staff) who specialize in airway and breathing. They do all the regular dentistry stuff, but airway and breathing is their specialty and it's this specialty for which they are nationally known. There are only a few people in the country who are as skilled in this, and they were probably trained by the Bronson Family because on the weekends throughout the year these dentists mentor other dentists, from around the globe, in use of the specialized ALF device to help widen airways. Their office is nice inside but it's in a very strange location, inside what appears to be an assisted living or condo or retirement building. They are on the ground floor after you enter through a strange, prison-like anteroom that someone buzzes you through (or you can get the code from the dentists when you schedule). Past a hair salon, you'll find the door to their office suite, which is actually quite modern looking. Other than that, your dental care is whatever you want. I am going to the Bronsons for the ALF treatment for airway constriction. This is an incredibly expensive procedure, including the initial consultation which cost me $850 and included a cat scan and full workup which was about 1 hour of in-office time. Expensive, but my breathing sucks so it is worth it to me. The clients here appear to be long time clients--they have been coming to this dental office for years, their kids come, etc. It's the most family oriented practice I've ever seen in a city like DC where everything can be so impersonal. I don't have any recommendation on which dentist to see, they are all family so they are pretty much the same because they talk all the time. Why wait longer for one or the other? In situations like this, the best you can say is that one is a personality match or something like that. Anyway, I like this office for what I'm using it for. I feel lucky to have it here in DC.

I had hoped we would be able to do this for our son, but admittedly was having a hard time finding out a lot about it on the internet, particularly in regards to cost. That said, I was relieved when Dr. Bronson answered the phone when I first called. I believe he does have a genuine and deep understanding of the cause of mouth and jaw dysfunction and really seemed to want to help. He was up front about charging for the consultation, but said that the charge could be applied toward treatment if we were to go forward with it. In light of the fact that we are eager for my son to begin treatment, and honestly there aren't many people around here with the same training as Dr. Bronson, we signed up for the consultation. The consultation was simple, he examined my son, took a few pictures, and asked many questions about my son's habits and overall health. He advised us that he would come up with a treatment plan and email it within a couple of days, which he did. Boy, was I ever shocked when I looked at the costs! I was prepared to spend more than we would going to a traditional orthodontist and just getting a palate expander, but nothing prepared me for the five-figure estimate totalling roughly $9,500 to $11,000 for phase 1 of treatment, not including additional therapies that would be required. Our family cannot absorb that, no matter how we cut/slashed/prioritized. I did send an email back explaining that we couldn't go forward, but asked questions about alternatives or the possibility of doing some of the therapy. I've called the office, and the receptionist told me she'd check in. That was nearly two weeks ago. So far, no response. I feel incredibly stupid. I don't know why I didn't just try to get a ballpark over the phone, or if I would've gotten one if I'd asked. So now I'm out $225 and no closer to a treatment. It's my dumb fault, but I just wish I'd known.
