I had been seeing Dr. Fisher for many years. After my marriage, my wife started going to see Dr…read more Fisher as well. My wife had an emergency with a lost filling. I called. The receptionist answered "Dr. Fisher's office." I could not get an immediate appointment. My wife got on the phone and managed to get squeezed on Friday, two days away. I went back with my wife and the assistant took an x-ray. After the x-ray, a strange guy comes in and tells us he is the new dentist, that Dr. Fisher has retired! (Dr. Hwang) Neither my wife nor I had received any correspondance from the office telling us this. He told my wife that she needed a crown and gum work for $3,000.00. The visit cost us $255.00 They did not plan to give us any credit if the work was done. We thought about letting him do it but we were suspicioius. We did not recognize any of the staff there and were upset by this bait and switch tactic. They never told us beforehand that Fisher had retired. The same day my wife managed to go see a prostadontist, Dr. Obeid in Chevy Chase, MD who is very skilled. He has a very modern office with state of the art equipment. He told my wife that she just needed on onlay....no gum surgery. He would charge $3000 and credit us for the visit and the x-ray. It was possible that the cavity would be more extensive and she could lose the tooth. But that is not what happened. Obeid successfully spared her tooth and did the onlay! It is far better to do an onlay as opposed to removing most of the tooth for a crown. I think this review speaks for itself. It appeared to us that all of Dr. Fisher's staff were no longer there.

The secret sauce behind why I highly recommend Northern Virginia Oral Surgery Centers is because of the customer service and their active communication skills. They could tell how frustrated and angry we felt by being nickel and dimed by other dentists throughout NoVA who were capitalizing on the urgency of my daughter's dire dental health and they did everything in their power to make the insurance, scheduling, and billing part as seamless as possible. My only knock against the place is that it was hard to find with the sea of dental offices throughout Fairfax Corner, but that can easily be fixed with a sandwich board sign. TL/DR - At Northern Virginia Oral Surgery Centers my toddler was provided with treatment and I experienced a seamless process with exceptional customer service. At three other highly rated dental offices throughout Centreville and Fairfax, I was approached with dishonesty regarding my daughter's treatment and charged unexplained expenses and fees. In a perfect world, more places would operate less like a corporate business and more like a practice with a caring staff and the professionalism, integrity, and empathy we received from Dr Trinh. Save your money, save your kids, and make your appointment with them today.

We were provided a diagnostic quote for an office visit and an X-ray over the phone at their Gainesville Virginia location for $200. We found this experience to be highly unprofessional and dishonest. We cannot, in good conscience, recommend this practice to others.

He was kind enough to explain the procedure cost and how long healing would take when you first book they have you pay about 1/3 of the surgery up front which isn't too bad. Ms.Christina at the front desk was kind enough to put in a request with my insurance as soon as I confirmed surgery, to allow insurance to process the claim faster. I was nervous at first about the needle insertion, but the nurses Sidney and Sidra held my hand which helped calmed me. Once they gave me the injection, I fell asleep and woke up to the surgery being completed. It was almost like a cut scene in a movie with how quick it was done, 30 minutes max. I've now had multiple treatments here and really appreciate the time Dr Khan takes to thoroughly assess each tooth to provide the right treatment plan. The facility is great and very well run. There are tvs in each room, modern equipment such as 3d handheld teeth scanners for more precise /comfortable imaging (I've ordered 2 night guards that fit great the first time they were made vs other offices where they've had to be redone, and the tooth images for fillings/crowns have been high quality showing the problem from multiple clear angles), and all of the office staff wear ear radios to communicate and get the patients in and out quickly. Unlike other offices that sometimes are eager to perform any procedure if there is a hint of problem, Dr Khan truly seems to look out for the patients interest and will choose to monitor teeth if there isn't an urgent need to work on them or suggest less invasive treatments (ie filling Vs crown) in attempts to minimize tooth surface loss.

When Dr. Lynch heard that I read about TMD, he was very dismissive and said I shouldn't waste my time with that. He treated me like I was a nerd for trying to learn about dentistry.
