For a quick Saturday lunch, I decided to try And Shawarma. At 1pm, the establishment was almost empty and had no line at the chiptole-esque ordering counter. I ordered 2 shawarma to share - one classic shawarma wrap and one supreme chicken shawarma. Both were priced the same, $12.99 each. The classic chicken shawarma had saj bread, chicken, parsley salad, fries, pickles, and garlic sauce. This flavor profile emphasized the juicy, slow roasted flavor of the chicken, with parsley salad adding sharp herbal notes and the garlic sauce adding creamy richness. The supreme chicken shawarma had saj bread, chicken, hummus, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled red cabbage, pickles, and garlic sauce. I added spicy harissa and diced onions to it at no additional cost. Clean restaurant and quick service. The bowls are not skimp and there are lots of fresh healthy toppings. You can also get your bowl over fries instead of rice or greens. The hummus is very good. The babaganoush is very smokey. The falafel are the best I have found other than the world famous Maoz, I just wish they were bigger so they would stay hot and moist longer. T. $6 for 5 doesn't feel right when I could eat 20 of them so unfortunately I won't be ordering them again. The falafel are clearly labeled vegan and gluten free, as are many other items. The sauces are very good and they squirt them from bottles that dispense a generous amount. The meat unfortunately does not come right off the spit but is held in a metal bin like chipotle so they can keep the line moving, but you can see the 3 giant spits roasting away in the back. The last thing I love about this place is that you get something you simply can not make at home. Even if you make shawarma style chicken and have rice and greens, there's no way you're making hummus and babaganoush and all the sauces and then you'd also have to buy 20 ingredients for the toppings... It's the same idea as chipotle or if you know Cava, it's more like that. The price starts at $12.99 and the only thing that raises the price is if you get lamb or steak or double meat. Considering the location and plentiful parking, this place is convenient and right off of interstate 270 near the 200 ICC toll road. This is located on Shady Grove Rd which is a busy roadway with plenty of traffic and will be certainly a stop for me. One of my fave Mediterranean casual spots. You can feel free to eat in but we love this spot for takeout. The service is fast and efficient and they load you up with plenty of toppings! I usually get the half rice/half greens chicken shawarma bowl and appreciate that you can pick pretty much all the toppings. The hummus and pita crisps being two of my faves! I keep passing this place everytime I go Pilates around the corner, and finally made a pit stop! Place is clean, ppl behind the counter were all smiling and welcoming. Ordered togo for create my own bowl with half rice/half greens (girl needs some balance lol) , I was hoping for lamb but I guess only beef/chicken available so opted in for beef. I do like this place, but days like today, its tough to not be a little mad. Walked in and ordered the beef shawarma and fries. I love that all the ingredients are fresh and made to order in front of you. They also have some good sauces to choose from, like spicy garlic (killer!) and a sweet poppy seed. When I got my order and got home, they forgot my fries. Ugh...called twice and no one picked up (why have a phone?). I would have rather just gotten a refund for the fries, but since I couldn't get in contact with them, I drove back there. Luckily I showed my receipt and they got me a fresh batch, but now my shawarma was cold and dry. Fries were hot and great; didn't get the zaatar ones today, the plain ones are good when hot. Lesson learned, check the bag next time, but please answer the damn phone. read more

The food is actually great. The issue however, is when you order online. I've had multiple online orders that were wrong, often times missing things I put in, and having things I didn't put in. Attempting to get a hold of customer service via email or social media is a no go, they don't reply or even check your messages. If you're going to order in, it's great. There is plenty of seating around. The food is good and the sauce is what puts everything together. I loved the sauce in this and in the end, my salad/bowl was a nice comforting meal. It was not overpowering or oily or overly salty. It was a good combination. I got the salad base with chicken schawarma and three toppings and two sauces. It's not very consistent, some days they put meat in, sometimes you get mostly just rice. And don't you dare order online, they will put whatever you they want in your food and hand you the bag. They do not read anything on your online order, you're playing roulette to see what you get, beef, chicken, or falafel. First visit here for lunch this Sunday afternoon. This is like a Cava/Chipotle "bowl" place - essentially you can get a bowl or wrap with chicken, lamb, gyro meat or falafel (which I believe is vegan). We had the design-your-own Chicken Rice Bowl and the Gyro Rice Bowl. Although it's called Rice Bowl, you can get it with lettuce, rice or half and half. Both were delicious. My partner and I appreciated the amount of meat in each bowl. Although the container appears smaller than a Cava bowl, it was very heavy by weight and chock full of the ingredients we picked. My partner took some of their meal home for dinner. Among the ingredients available for the design-your-own are tomato bits, chick peas, pickled onions, red cabbage, turnip, and a number of other items, including hummus (regular or spicy), tzatziki and sauces. For the chicken, my partner got the spicy hummus and the regular garlic sauce, which they enjoyed. For the gyro, I got tzatziki and spicy garlic sauce. The spicy garlic sauce was delicious and lived up to its name. The tzatziki tasted cool and fresh. Very nice. There was a generous portion of tasty gyro meat. The ingredients tasted fresh and everything combined nicely. I think they are a bit heavy handed on the sauces. You'll see that in the pictures below. I would consider asking for at least some of the sauce on the side next time. But I suppose that's personal preference. As I said, the sauces were delish. The atmosphere is nice. This business is brand new and already had a nice lunch rush. Everyone is clearly excited for the falafel and shawarma. The inside has a generous amount of seating although most orders for this business were to go. The restaurant operates similarly to Chipotle where you can build your own bowl or pita. You can also select a chef bowl/wrap where the toppings are chosen for you. The staff was extremely nice! I asked them what all was vegan and they made sure to double check all the ingredients before answering me. All their toppings and the falafel is vegan. Also the vegan garlic sauce and the harissa are vegan. I made my own bowl with just about every veggie topping, greens, falafel, and vegan garlic sauce. They were pretty heavy handed with the garlic sauce so next time I will ask for a light amount of sauce. The bowl is a complete flavor explosion! I am so in love!! I wish the portion size was larger but my bowl could not fit another topping so I know they packed it as much as possible. It is just smaller than a meal from CAVA for a similar price. The flavors though are what would make me go back here over CAVA. I already want to go back for seconds. Right now the business is working through some online ordering kinks and that is the only flaw at the moment with this new business. Decent new Mediterranean bowl/wrap place with some upsides, some room for growth, and an unfortunate location (by a Cava) that invites unfavorable comparisons. I tried the falafel bowl with half rice and half salad, and, daunted by all the options in front of me, just went with the toppings for the falafel rice bowl, which are: hummus, parsley salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled turnips, pickled red cabbage, chickpeas, roasted eggplant, and tahini (instead of mild garlic sauce, because I planned on being around others in the next couple of days and thought I'd do them that kindness). The good: fresh ingredients; vegan and vegetarian options; a strong hand with seasoning; some pickled ingredients (red cabbage, turnips) that Cava doesn't offer that add a lot to the bowl; assertive flavors; great falafel texture inside and out; very good hummus. The bad: the falafels were possibly 57% parsley, which is a lot of parsley, especially given that parsley is sort of an "oh, forgot that was there" herb; an overwhelming reliance on garlic in their sauces (including, alas for me, the tahini); smaller bowls, less sauces and add-ins than Cava; possibly over-seasoned? Excellent lamb shawarma wrap. Their wrap/bread style is a little different than most shawarma places, very thin and chewy but enjoyable. The lamb was also quite chewy but there were large portions and it has excellent flavor.
