I love a good chicken Shawarma wrap and this place was really good. Considering the location and plentiful parking, this place is convenient and right off of interstate 270 near the 200 ICC toll road. The flavors were certainly there and the many sauces combined with fresh ingredients topped it off. This is located on Shady Grove Rd which is a busy roadway with plenty of traffic and will be certainly a stop for me. The desserts were delicious too and I want to come back to try some of the fresh Shawarma bowls next time too. There are not too many places nearby that serves Shawarma and now this place will definitely be a hit.

One of my fave Mediterranean casual spots. You can feel free to eat in but we love this spot for takeout. The service is fast and efficient and they load you up with plenty of toppings! I usually get the half rice/half greens chicken shawarma bowl and appreciate that you can pick pretty much all the toppings. The hummus and pita crisps being two of my faves! I also got the falafel which was delicious. This is a weekly staple for me and I can't wait to be back for more!

Falafel with water bottle cap for size comparison. Great flavor but so small.

Clean restaurant and quick service. The bowls are not skimp and there are lots of fresh healthy toppings. You can also get your bowl over fries instead of rice or greens. The hummus is very good. The babaganoush is very smokey. The falafel are the best I have found other than the world famous Maoz, I just wish they were bigger so they would stay hot and moist longer. T. $6 for 5 doesn't feel right when I could eat 20 of them so unfortunately I won't be ordering them again. The falafel are clearly labeled vegan and gluten free, as are many other items. The sauces are very good and they squirt them from bottles that dispense a generous amount. The meat unfortunately does not come right off the spit but is held in a metal bin like chipotle so they can keep the line moving, but you can see the 3 giant spits roasting away in the back. The last thing I love about this place is that you get something you simply can not make at home. Even if you make shawarma style chicken and have rice and greens, there's no way you're making hummus and babaganoush and all the sauces and then you'd also have to buy 20 ingredients for the toppings... It's the same idea as chipotle or if you know Cava, it's more like that. The price starts at $12.99 and the only thing that raises the price is if you get lamb or steak or double meat. All toppings are included. It's worth mentioning again, the hummus is very good, perhaps the best I've ever had. Not only great flavor but it's the creamiest smoothest hummus.

First time checking out this halal spot in Gaithersburg! It's fast casual spot where you get shawarma wraps to bowls. The service is fast and made fresh to order. We got the supreme chicken shawarma and the loaded fries. Both 5/5 loaded and filling! The flavors are fantastic! I think next time I'll make mine a little more spicy! Definitely worth checking out and getting a meal there!

I keep passing this place everytime I go Pilates around the corner, and finally made a pit stop! Place is clean, ppl behind the counter were all smiling and welcoming. Ordered togo for create my own bowl with half rice/half greens (girl needs some balance lol) , I was hoping for lamb but I guess only beef/chicken available so opted in for beef. Added all needed toppings and finished with spicy garlic and harissa sauce. Smells so good and delish! I ended up took a bite in the car, haha. I will definitely be back to get lamb bowl and hoping they're available next time!

Food served hot and fresh. Especially if you order the falafel bowl or fries. They fry them to order! And so many toppings to choose from too finish off the bowls. I love the spicy sauce and garlic sauce. Either by themselves or together, the sauces were great. Also don't pass up on the hummus, it's sooooo good.

Just tried &Shawarma for the first time and it was amazing. Everything was super fresh with plenty of options to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they moved quickly even with a decently long line. I'll definitely be back.

Sooooo happy I got to try this place, because it's absolutely banging. I'm going to try to come here anytime I ever have a cava craving because I want to support more local/small businesses. I got the beef bowl and it's delicious. Really appreciate that it's unlimited topping so I got to go off. It's also a great place for vegans and vegetarians. They offer their delicious garlic sauce as a vegan option. Not pictured, but I also had their za'atar fries which were also delicious! The restaurant itself is very clean and welcoming, and the staff are very nice.

Gyro Rice Bowl with Spicy Garlic Sauce and Tzatziki. Ordered half rice and half lettuce.

First visit here for lunch this Sunday afternoon. This is like a Cava/Chipotle "bowl" place - essentially you can get a bowl or wrap with chicken, lamb, gyro meat or falafel (which I believe is vegan). We had the design-your-own Chicken Rice Bowl and the Gyro Rice Bowl. Although it's called Rice Bowl, you can get it with lettuce, rice or half and half. Both were delicious. My partner and I appreciated the amount of meat in each bowl. Although the container appears smaller than a Cava bowl, it was very heavy by weight and chock full of the ingredients we picked. My partner took some of their meal home for dinner. Among the ingredients available for the design-your-own are tomato bits, chick peas, pickled onions, red cabbage, turnip, and a number of other items, including hummus (regular or spicy), tzatziki and sauces. For the chicken, my partner got the spicy hummus and the regular garlic sauce, which they enjoyed. For the gyro, I got tzatziki and spicy garlic sauce. The spicy garlic sauce was delicious and lived up to its name. The tzatziki tasted cool and fresh. Very nice. There was a generous portion of tasty gyro meat. The ingredients tasted fresh and everything combined nicely. I think they are a bit heavy handed on the sauces. You'll see that in the pictures below. I would consider asking for at least some of the sauce on the side next time. But I suppose that's personal preference. As I said, the sauces were delish. The atmosphere is nice. It's light and comfortable with music playing. There's a soda dispenser for refills with your drinks. The Staff were friendly and helpful.

This business is brand new and already had a nice lunch rush. Everyone is clearly excited for the falafel and shawarma. The inside has a generous amount of seating although most orders for this business were to go. The restaurant operates similarly to Chipotle where you can build your own bowl or pita. You can also select a chef bowl/wrap where the toppings are chosen for you. The staff was extremely nice! I asked them what all was vegan and they made sure to double check all the ingredients before answering me. All their toppings and the falafel is vegan. Also the vegan garlic sauce and the harissa are vegan. I made my own bowl with just about every veggie topping, greens, falafel, and vegan garlic sauce. They were pretty heavy handed with the garlic sauce so next time I will ask for a light amount of sauce. The bowl is a complete flavor explosion! I am so in love!! I wish the portion size was larger but my bowl could not fit another topping so I know they packed it as much as possible. It is just smaller than a meal from CAVA for a similar price. The flavors though are what would make me go back here over CAVA. I already want to go back for seconds. Right now the business is working through some online ordering kinks and that is the only flaw at the moment with this new business. I am sure everything will be running flawlessly by next week and I cannot wait to bring lunch back from here more often for myself and coworkers. Thanks for a killer vegan meal and best of luck to this new business!

Food was very fresh and there are plentiful options for toppings. Lamb rice bowl and chicken rice bowl are very fairly priced at $13 and $11 for the later. Servings are very generous as well. The service was good also, employees were very welcoming. I will be coming back to try other menu items.

I ordered a chicken bowl and I did not like it as they put too much garlic sauce on it. If I ever return I'd get the sauce on the side.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is always clean and welcoming. The service has always been excellent. Whether you're vegan or simply looking for really good food, I highly recommend St. Veg. Great food, great service, and a great experience. The carrot/cabbage and greens were fresh and tasty. I probably wouldn't get the rice again. It was fine, but served mostly to fill me up rather than add flavor. Japanese Katsu Curry Bowl ($15.00) plus $1.00 for greens and $0.50 for extra curry sauce. My partner enjoyed this dish, but thought the curry flavor could have been stronger. Also, they probably wouldn't get the extra sauce again. Overall, good bowls. We'll be back. One disappointment is that there is no way to "build your own bowl." I asked the server, and she said you can ask to substitute an item on one of their main bowls, but there's no "create your own" option. Since you order from a kiosk, it seems that could be straightforward, with the price adjusted based on what you add in, but I guess not here. That will limit the number of times I come here, because I prefer the option for variety. Ordering vis kiosk also doesn't allow you to order the sauce "on the side," which is another unnecessary (IMHO) limitation.

So one random week I decided to contact them just to inquire about their prices, flavors and such (I found this info on their website). They actually didn't respond until over a week later, and I realized it was because they were out of the country! So they let me know when they would be returning and so I contacted them again then. By some insane twist of fate, the day they said to contact them also happened to be National Donut Day -- obviously a sign. It turns out they don't have delivery right now (probably because they just returned?) so I had to arrange a pickup. They're $4 a pop, so I decided to just get half a dozen: Cinnamon Sugar Chocolate Oreo Mango Pistachio Rose Raspberry Pina Colada I arrived at the house, waited a few minutes, and the man came to the door with the donut box in hand. The donuts looked awesome too! Then I went to my sister's and surprised them with vegan donuts for the special day -- great feedback all around. I didn't get to taste every single one, but the chocolate oreo, rose, mango pistachio and pina colada were delicious!! The flavors popped, the texture of the donut was light and had me not feeling too guilty, and they looked nice! It was totally unexpected to find a vegan donut spot so close to my sister, and to be family-run is lovely! They have an interesting history on their website, you should give it a read!

Got the vegan black bean quesadilla and mixed berry muffin. At 99 cents each, the muffin is a great price. It was stuffed with vegan cheese, black beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and corn. The beans were seasoned well (chipotle) and the vegan cheese and veggies complemented perfectly. Back then the food quantity and the service were top notch-great service with a smile and good quantity portion size. Since then, everything has gone downhill and this place is hit or miss depending on who makes your food, not to mention that anything worth having or anything that is not a cheap item has been removed from the menu (ex: hearts of palm, and now even the popular jackfruit tacos!) Only the cheapest ingredients left behind such as beans, chickpeas, onions, cilantro so they can major profit more and more. The menu has become boring to everyone I know with no exciting new items but just the same old and taking away certain items that the customers love. (Other Moms locations I go to switch up their menus with yummy offerings that Ive never seen offered at this location) Their prices have also gone up quite a couple of times since before covid and on top of that their portion sizes have lessened by more than 50% and still they get stingy only at this location when scooping the scoops always shaking the spoon to lessen the portion of each scoop and still finding sneaky ways to raise the prices more or take away anything that might cost more. Ive also noticed they only hire Hispanics now which I don't care but they definitely do not give service with a smile and half the time they don't understand what you are asking for and get rude if you sub or ask for something that might require a change. I am Spanish so of course I understand the language and alot of times they talk bad or whisper to each other right in front of me when you are undecided or make changes to the menu items. In my opinion, a different manager is needed that values customer service as the current manager is rude and does not like when you ask for substitutions and very stingy as well with portion sizes. Back in the day if i wanted half a scoop of one topping and half of another on my tacos it was ok, not anymore. A lot of people who don't come here often rate good as a good lunch spot but when you come here consistency, you start to see the flaws and lack of service,
