We are so incredibly grateful for finding and securing service with Palmetto Pool and Spa. Renters can be very hard on things and they track in lots of dirt. Our spa is a few feet away from the edge of a lake so we know that our guests go straight from the lake to the spa without bothering to rinse off. Things can get pretty bad without constant oversight and a gross spa will translate to bad reviews. On top of these concerns, we have had many issues with our spa's power shutting off entirely and the water failing to heat and jets not working. Our spa needed maintenance and while that was being done, Robby and his team would drop by outside of the normal schedule to rebalance the water that had been stagnant for way too long. Palmetto was super understanding and so patient and willing to take care of us during this time and shielded our renters from unmet expectations. I'm so happy to report that in a rental that is booked solid every single weekend, we have never received a negative review in regards to the spa. Robby and his team communicate clearly and frequently and text me pictures so that I can see how beautiful and clean everything looks. I have confidence in their work which is so incredibly valuable as an out-or-state rental property owner who desires the best for my guests.

We purchased a home with an in-ground, vinyl lined pool and despite having had a pool inspector…read morecome take a look at things prior to closing, we discovered after the fact that the pool was losing (leaking) nearly an inch of water a day. It may not seem like a lot, but our water bill proved that refilling the pool to keep it at proper operating level for the skimmers/pump was expensive and not sustainable. We scheduled an appointment with TJ of Pool Leak Solutions and he came to our house along with a gentleman named Preston, both of whom were knowledgeable, informative and extremely thorough with their inspection. Their diagnostic testing checked both the plumbing and the vinyl liner to make sure they correctly identified and resolved the issue for us. Although I know their inspection involved much more than I can really recap, basically they were prepared with scuba gear to get in the pool (despite it being rather cold) and used a device to check the seals on all of the jets, lights and gaskets using a colored dye test. Then they pressure tested all of the plumbing to make sure the leak wasn't somewhere outside of the pool itself. They also used an electronic scanner of sorts to identify active water leaks as well as "weak" spots where the liner was becoming prone to a future leak. They were really thorough! The inspection/testing we scheduled was not only to identify the leaks but also to patch and repair them, I believe they included up to ten patches with their quoted price. We ended up having multiple small tears they patched in addition to a few of the weak spots they patched just to reinforce the liner in hopes of preventing future issues. Overall, the guys were friendly and willing to answer questions and educate us about what was going on while they were hard at work. Although nobody wants to have a pool leak to deal with, if you do I'd definitely recommend reaching out and letting Pool Leak Solutions solve your problems!

The folks at our pool supply place (Leslie) recommended two companies to talk with. The first company was polite but were too busy and when pressed for a ballpark number, it was astronomical. Next we put in a call to Pool Leak Solutions. The office manger took my information and I received a call back from the owner the same afternoon. He took the time to explain what was probably going on and offered two possible solutions. For a flat fee, a technician came out with scuba gear to do an in-depth underwater examination of the pool surface. Kevin, the owner, called me to talk through the issues, and decided he wanted to come see the pool for himself - again, with scuba gear. He explained fully what he found and talked through the process to make the necessary repairs. The final estimate - which was also the final price, was less than 1/2 the price given me by the first pool repair company I had spoken with. Delayed by weather throughout a rainy winter, Kevin and his team (Christy!) kept me informed of the schedule. When they started work, they always came exactly when they said they would, and did the work they told me they would be doing that day. It was a 4-5 day job, and the process, as well as the finished result was excellent. I have been very impressed with the integrity, honesty, and professionalism of Pool Leak Solutions. The pool looks fantastic. I highly recommend them. Below: The drained pool showing original damage as well as area repaired and prepped for epoxy paint. I've used Palmetto Pools & Spas twice in the past month for some urgent repairs…read more First one was to replace the multiport valve on the Hayward filter. It was worn and I could no longer press the lever down to rotate the valve for drainage or waste-out. It was right before a big storm and I was worried that I would be unable to drain the pool if needed, due to the rain. Dan came out within a couple days to replace the valve assembly. Reasonable price. The second repair was the pump motor. The day before the big snow storm, the motor started making a terrible noise and I was worried it was about to seize up. With the deep freeze happening, it was imperative that I get the motor replaced quickly. Dan was able to come out right after the snow. I was lucky that the original motor held out through the freeze. It all worked out fine. Dan was knowledgeable about the pool equipment, friendly, and nice to deal with. Will use them again the next time I need a repair.

He never came out to inspect the pool personally. Instead, we had to take samples to a nearby pool supply store, where we consistently encountered low chemical levels. Whenever we raised issues, we were told it was our equipment and to call our builder. We did, and it wasn't the equipment. Our builder even came out to fix other issues that Palmetto wouldn't handle, like a liner that had come out of the track. We sent photos and videos of the problems, such as algae starting in our pool. In response, we were told that if we wanted it cleaned, there would be an extra charge. We already pay over $300 a month, so an additional charge for algae in the skimmer basket made no sense. Almost a 1/2 year- we did give them a chance. I have enclosed photos of the algae and what they left our system. In summary, promises were made but never kept. We've learned our lesson and moved on to another pool company, hoping for better service. Amy
