Teachers were clear, took things really slow, a little too slow in mine and a few others opinions. If you've danced salsa or bachata or any ballroom before maybe come into the class half way through. Class was 9-10, then the floors were open. The music is FAB! They even had salsa going on in the other studio with live drums! The djs were EXCELLENT. Sound equipment was fabulous! Bathroom nice and clean, and spacious for changing. The lighting and ambience is just fantastic! Really good. The temperature is great too! Not too hot at all. I appreciated that they had a cop/bouncer dude at the front of the studio. The teacher is gorgeous and knows what she's doing. I definitely will be going back. 100%. Really good people. Tons of fun! On August 7, 2025 at 4:39pm MT I emailed DF to discuss this email (see attached image) before…read moreposting reviews about them. No response. I emailed again on August 8, 2025 at 7:34pm MT. Still no response. However, they were quick to reply to my google review. They asked in the google review response to address my concern with them privately, which I did before even posting reviews and then again after, and they won't respond. They claim in their response to my google review that safety matters to them and yet when I addressed a safety concern, I was dismissed. I stopped going to DF back in July except for once a week for one hour to use up my paid pass. My friends have asked why I stopped going to DF and I told them the truth. Weeks later I am punished by DF for speaking my truth by being banned from their business, although I had already been slowly removing myself, just had to use up what I paid for because the policy they do have visible to the public is that there are no refunds on purchases. Earlier this year I reported to the DF owner and one of their instructors that I had been s**ually harassed by a dance student who admitted to his inappropriate behavior and apologized, in front of the dance instructor. I had an in person conversation with the studio owner and the dance instructor to address my concern of having to be paired with this person for about 2.5 months. The option I was presented was voluntarily quit dancing or suck it up. They also asked me not to talk about my concern with the team I was on, which I found really shady to make such a request. I obliged by not talking to those whom I was not close friends with. Per the DF team contract, if you voluntarily quit you don't get your money back. So I sucked it up and had the most miserable experience ever. The DF owner and the teacher were unwilling to switch partners, giving me excuses why they couldn't, yet when it came to an out of state performance they switched my partner those last few weeks, when this new partner could have been my partner from the time I addressed my concern. I found a new dance team and told my friends that once I used up all of my paid passes at DF I wasn't going to continue classes there. When they asked why, I told them the truth of my negative experiences with DF, the owner, and the instructor. After several months from the time I reported my s**ual harassment concern, today 8/8 I receive an email from the studio owner, telling me I am no longer welcome at the studio for classes, dance socials, events, etc. She claimed I violated her studio code of conduct. Not once did she ever approach me with any concerns prior to today. I have been going to DF on and off since 2010 and there has never been a visible code of conduct or studio participation rules in the studio, on their app, or on their website. The instructors have not discussed participation rules or studio conduct in any of the classes or teams I've been on. When I asked the owner to provide specifics on what I violated and when, she has not provided any insight as to what I'm accused of. When I asked for a copy of the studio's values and participation guidelines, she hasn't responded. I believe she is retaliating against me for voicing my experiences I've had at DF. I will refer people to the many other dance studio options available and I will not be referring anyone to DF.

We had been a part of a DANCE family that we absolutely loved. When we knew we would be moving from an hour away, switching dance studios was the hardest and saddest part of the whole decision to move. We didn't want to leave. We were happy and comfortable at our dance home for 9 years. ADA made the transition even smoother then I could even explain. The first day we walked in the director had told my girls that she understands that we are leaving our dance family of 9 years and everything they had ever known. She said she could not even imagine what they must feel in this situation. She then told them that she knows she can NEVER replace our old dance family but she hopes ADA can be added to our dance family, Everything we experienced with this studio is beyond all Expectations! The staff were also amazing. Everyone is always working with and helping each other. My oldest was told she wasn't the best at lyrical by her last studio and came back after the covid shut down she competed a lyrical solo and took an overall highpoint for lyrical. The director and owner do everything they can to make sure the girls aren't just the best dancers but to have the confidence that they need!!! When we asked her, she said she was still interested in dance but didn't want to go to this place anymore because the teacher was not nice. We pressed her some more and come to find out she like the class when the owner of the establishment was not there, but when the owner was there she would rather not dance at all. We made her stick it out because we had already paid the hefty fees for costumes (in the end never got to use these by the way) but we had to make her go. Then my daughter broke her arm and could no longer dance. We asked the owner to cancel our monthly payments as she was no longer able to participate. Despite this the fee still came out of our account. My wife tried many times to resolve this and get a refund for the fees we were overcharged but the owner always had an excuse as to why it did not happen. I finally went down there myself and confronted her about it and she (the owner) said that I was harassing her! I was simply asking for a refund for an overcharge. Not only that, but on their brochure (contract as they called it) they promised extra classes and a small discount for those parents that signed up for auto pay. Neither of these did we receive. In my opinion you should not waste your time or your money here. The owner is semi dishonest and my daughter now does not like dance!

I've been taking classes and performing in one of Thia's troupes (Luxor) for several years and they've been great years. Thia really knows her stuff. She has won competitions as well as judged some of the large belly dance competitions. Thia's studio and boutique are located in an industrial area. The studio can get pretty hot or cold since the space was formerly a warehouse. There is a lot of space in the studio. It can comfortably hold 15 ladies twirling veils. The full size mirrors along one wall let you see what you and your fellow dancers are doing (or not doing). There are classes for children as young as four and you are never too old to start taking classes I know a number of wonderful grandmothers who are great belly dancers. Body size is also irrelevant (although larger dancers may have trouble finding costumes-- but we still manage to do what we love). Perhaps my one complaint is that Thia can be a bit distracted and/or flaky. I attribute that to her having a lot on her plate and dealing with belly dancers can be a lot like herding feral cats. The boutique is a terrific place for getting all manner of belly dancing paraphernelia...whether it's an instructional video, costume, hip scarf, music, or any manner of shiny glorious awesomeness. Just a caveat: there isn't a large selection of plus sizes, but that seems to be a universal issue. If you're looking for a great way to shake the late winter blahs, the first Saturday of March is Springfest, the largest indoor belly dance festival in Utah. Thia puts this event on and it's always spectacular and tons of fun.

Every teacher we have had for four years you can tell has been hand chosen by the owner, the teachers are the cream of the crop. They have the students work hard, learn important life lessons (working as a team, being respectful, self confidence, taking criticism well), pay very close attention to technique, and are extremely creative. The most beautiful thing about this studio is watching how the students who go there blossom. It is amazing to watch the kids from the preschool ages into the teenage ages. Where they become such talented dancers, but young adults that are wonderful role models (in their manner, dance, behavior, etc.) to the younger ones. The recital has always been a magical time for our family. It is very organized, children are kept safe, it is done in a professional venue, and my kids ADORE being a part of it. Know that you have to be organized yourself as a parent for your child do have just as a magical time as mine do. We love UDA!! You will make such a wonderful decision by having your child become a part of this UDA family.
