I'm visiting from Texas and heard that I must try this place! Let me tell you, it did not disappoint at all! I wish I took picture of the food but I was too excited to dig in. We got 2 mixed grill, 2 kabob plates, lahmacun and Adana plate. Everything was delicious and our server Milan's was phenomenal. He was sweet, attentive and had the best customer service. Can't wait to come back and eat here again!

    Lamb Shank...oh so good!

Had lunch at Anatolia today and ordered their famous Lamb Shank Dinner. The lamb is so tasty in that tomatoey sauce. Comes with rice and a chopped up tomato, cucumber and red onion salad. Had a play to go to and thought of Anatolia for lunch and am glad I did!

Nicely done! Very spacious but still cozy.

Finally, a Turkish restaurant in Calgary, and a really nice one too. I was so looking forward to try the food! First of all, the interior: This place is quite big with a high ceiling. They managed to design it in a way that it's is still cozy and comfortable. They have regular tables as well as booths for a bit more privacy, 100 seats in total. And a private room upstairs for 50 people. Great location to have a party at! The service was great; very attentive and hospitable. The food was good, although I was hoping for it to be even better. But mind you, my bar is set pretty high because I had awesome Turkish food both in Turkey and in Cologne, Germany. The menu is still relatively small, but they said they are still working on it and trying to figure out, what people would want (they opened not even a month ago). They also want to change the menu frequently. Not too many vegetarian dishes available on the currently. Meat is either chicken, lamb, or beef (halal). The meat just fell of the lamp shank, it was so soft and juicy. The lamp skewer was good. The pide was a bit dry, I am used to it having cheese on it as well. All dishes are very reasonable priced! The food could have been even more flavorful in my opinion, more spices. There wasn't even chili on the table which is usually very common. I also hoped to see a bigger variety of dishes on the menu, like Ciftlik Sac, Manti, Beyti, and more appetizer options. But again, they just started and are still working on the menu. I'm certainly coming back! You won't find any alcohol on the menu, but you can bring your own bottle and won't even be charged a corkage fee. That alone is a good reason to try this restaurant! The owner also has a kiosk at crossroads market (same name) which has been around for quite a few years I think.

A Turkish dining delight. A descriptive, yet unremarkable name this place offers authentic Turkish food in an amazing space across from City hall. The Traditional baking, made fresh daily, is served with humus as a great start to succulent grilled lamb. Having sampled more baklava than I care to admit, the modest presentation by Anatolia Turkish Restaurant results in the richness of Turkish culture and history come alive on the palette in several wonderful bites. I could see the staff pointing at me saying "Etekleri zil çalıyor" as I finished the last bite. To keep you from contently have a satisfied nap, the Experience finishes with Turkish coffee which will keep you talking all night about this dining experience. You have to eat, best to eat well,

Took a little trip to the Crossroads Flea Market last Sunday with a notion to try something new. I chose Anatolia and it was straight up next level delicious. I had a Lamb Shank with all the side's and my girl had the Chicken Kabob meal. Perfect amount of succulent char on her kabob and my Shank was literally drinkable it was so saucy & tender. The salads and bread were both super fresh and flavorful and we ate for $20.00. Can't beat that. Highly recommended from this guy.

Food was great. We ordered pide, lamb shank, lahmacun and an appetizer that came on a stone plate with spinach and shrimps. The pide was my favorite.

A beautiful restaurant in a very open space. Lavish vintage themed bulbs illuminate the space marvellously and the large columns in the way make it look so grand. However, kind of like an old ex girlfriend... it's very pretty and nice but doesn't meet your needs at all and leaves you begging for attention. Waited for one whole hour for our (very mediocre, cold and overpriced) food to be served. Turkish cuisine is my personal favourite and as someone who has travelled lots and eaten at Turkish restaurants in the Middle East & Europe, I was so disappointed that this is how other guests are being exposed to Turkish culture. 1/5

Went there today at around 1:30 pm, the place was completely empty but after a long drive from Edmonton this is the first place we stumbled upon that seemed to have 3.5 stars and had decent pricing. When we walked in (3 in total) the place was completely empty but a gentleman approached us right away and sat us, I was a bit hesitant on staying but I had a horrible headache and just wanted to eat so we sat down (he asked if we wanted a booth, and, of course) he brought some waters like a few minutes after and we were all ready to order unfortunately he told us he doesn't speak English very well since he's a new comer but our server would be with us right away, he was just training. They came back after a couple of minutes (I was already a bit displeased since I was very hungry but I blame it all on that alone because they were actually really good to us) and we ordered and everything he said the food would be about 15 mins if that was okay? I said yes of course but I was sooo hungry. Food came after like 10 mins and we were pretty astonished it looked and smelled really good, the best part was tasting it lol it was quite tasty, I unfortunately don't remember the name of what I ordered but it was beef and cheese wrapped in some dough and it was amazing, the other two people ordered chicken Kebap and another plate which had eggplant mashed I believe it was also amazing it was our first time trying those dishes or Turkish good at all for the other two that were with me and we were very pleased with the taste, the server kept filling up our waters he was attentive but at the same time he didn't check in ya regularly which was totally okay with us since we were talking so much lol When we asked for the bill he brought us Turkish tea on the house and that was like the cherry on top of the cake, overall a really good experience and me and my friends will definitely be coming back there! Loved it

Probably the worst buffet I've been too. They are cheap on putting meat out. Would not recommend it. Family members did not get any Kabab.

Although I don't go to that market as much as Calgary Farmer's Market on Blackfoot, a trip for this food is well worth it. Because my thing is their lamb, I've not tried their other meats, but I sense you will not be let down. Invariably the meat is tender and juicy, and their reddish subtle tasting gravy hits the spot for your pita and rice. Their Turkish staff are most accommodating, and seem to know that what they are serving is just wonderful. For a mere $11 you get a big meal. In any restaurant with all the trimmings, it would be $20-40 for the same. And at this price, that you are forced to use paper plates and plastic utensils is no big sacrifice. As well, I think you can do take-out, and at home of course dine in style. As well, they have a large sister restaurant downtown on Stephen Avenue across from city hall and park: likely worth the leizurely walk from 7th Street SW along Stephen to end up famished at Anatolia... Beware... If you get a lamb shank attack, make your way speedily to this market, and slurp up these succulent juices that should bring on a loud yelp...!

So this time I have decided to try their Montgomery location. They basically have a location in every quadrant in Calgary except SW (Could be one of their goals - Who knows?). I ordered my usual- Chicken Shawarma Platter with everything except no hot sauce and with nothing that is spicy (example jalapeno). The chicken shawarma platter was huge. It basically worked out to be 2 meals. It came with potatoes, chicken, rice, salad, pita bread and hummus. I do find that they are not as generous as the Falconridge location when it comes to the garlic sauce. Darn... The platter with taxes was $14.16. This is considered to be cheap for the portion size. It was super tasty. I do find their platter a better deal than their wraps. The potatoes were a bit over baked and the chicken was a bit dried compared to the Falconridge location. They are also not as busy as the Falconridge location. Overall, good Mediterranean food. Restaurant decor is ok. Not bad. It is definitely cleaner than the Falconridge location. Only issue I have is the area. It is out of the way for me and I usually try to stay away from Montgomery (the other is Forest Lawn).
