This is one of the best Indian food places in Brussels. In the last two years I have gone here at least 6 or 7 times with different people/ groups. The food is buffet style. And for 18.50 Euros, you get a whole meal with sweets and tea included I think.
I was there last week too. The good things are that this is actually quite affordable for 10 plus dishes they serve. The food is on low heat gas always, displayed in the small gallery - so it is always hot. Your naan/ bread comes freshly prepared. The drink are not included in the 18.50 Euros.
I ordered mango lassi. It arrived warm .. ew. If you don't know what that tastes like, think orange juice after toothpaste. I asked the waiter to crush some ice in it, he politely took the drink back. When he brought it back, there were just a few ice cubes added in it. So now I had a warm drink with ice in it.
Aside from that, there are 3 or 4 types of rice, all great tasting. Several types of chicken and lamb. You're bound to like something here for sure. That's why I enjoy this place, even though the dishes don't have a consistent taste on each visit.
But you know what is consistent? The menu! It hasn't changed in the last two years at least. But I don't mind, even though my friends do. I think the variety is enough to keep me from complaining.
If I could suggest one Indian place to get an authentic taste at a reasonable price, this would be it. The interior design is also well done ... some Indian art and musical instruments hanging on orange walls. There are beautiful lamps everywhere too. The ambience is quite casual due to the buffet system. read more
