It is really good Nepal and Indian restaurant. The place look fancy, with rosy table cloth and all those. My girlfriend said you can tell if a restaurant is fancy by feeling if their plates are warm (from disinfection process). And theirs' are. The price is comparably cheap, normal dinner price for Brussels. Forget exactly how much, but around 20 each. Food is amazing. I went to this place on a Saturday evening and to be honest it started awfully. It was 9pm and the place was overcrowded. Even though we had a table booked for only 2 we still had to wait in line an extra 30 minutes to get to sit to a table next to the front door. No wonder why it was empty ... I am unbelievably incredulous about everyone who touts the food here as amazing. I was quite honestly---horrified by just about everything we ate here---with the exception of the most perfect cup of chai I have ever drank outside of my own home. Everything had something sweet thrown into it. Like, actual, crystallized fruit pieces, or pineapple. Even though we asked for things to be spicy---we kept looking at each other going --"is there any spice in this, at all?" I am so thoroughly confused by the incredible reviews that were given, because from appetizers to entrees ---not one thing we ate was good. While the service was wonderful and the ambiance was really chill and beautiful---I can't express to you how bad our meals were. How is Nepalese/Indian cuisine chock full of crystallized fruit and pineapple??? HOW? It almost made us want to try it again to see if there was some horrible fluke---but when a meal crashes so hard, you absolutely do not go back for seconds. Terrific Indian restaurant in Louise. First, the ambiance is great. From the slate serving dishes to the Everest painting on the back wall, the place has character. The food was excellent. It's one of the few places with legitimately spicy Indian food. The paneer was high quality. The chicken korma was sweet. The vegetable naan was inventive. The desserts were very good too -- especially the Everest dessert. Although some of the dishes were so-so, overall, I was pleased. Finally the service was great. First, they gave us a complementary aloo tiki to start and ended with a complementary digestif. The people were really nice. To say I recommend this restaurant is an understatement! While they don't have music to provide a good background sound, that is my ONKY complaint. The food is absolutely amazing. From the papadams with our drinks to the onion bhaji starter, fluffy rice, and naan, you can't go wrong. The Everest chicken and the Kanti chicken were also amazing. I like this restaurant a lot. I have been twice and was always very pleased. Friendly and good service. The food has a very good quality/price. Good naan, good korma, good chicken tikka masala. The momos as a starter are also very tasty. I like that they bring you a small tiki burger as a amuse bouche (that is very good!) and a small digestive at the end. I know indian food pretty well, cooked by indians, and that is the only reason why I cannot give five stars - it is very good food but not amazing. I am not sure if it is possible to find a better indian restaurant in Brussels and therefore I will return for sure. The only problem is that I always eat too much. read more

The food here was extra tasty, I really loved it and I've been to a couple of Indian places. - Health: A lot of Indian restaurants can get you very oily, greasy stuff. This one's sauces were just about right with the oil and the spices and had a nice texture that forces you to lick off your plates when running out of nan. Watch it with the Nan and white rice though, because there are those damn carbs again. - Pleasure: Inexplicably good. Once you go Indian, you'll never want anything else. - Quantity: I can never get enough of this food, so I can't say. Yes, we ordered another plate and extra garlic nan, but that's a good thing! - Variety: A lot of different ways of cooking and using spices, more than in the regular Indian restaurant. This place is amazing. The food is delicious, the service is impeccable and the restaurant itself is pretty nice. They have outdoor space so during the warmer season, it's nice to come here for a meal and sit outside. I've had the saag ghosh and chicken tikka masala. Both of them were delicious. The prices are also reasonable for the portions received. It is off of Avenue Louise so a lot of people can easily overlook it -- however, it is worth visiting this establishment for the food. read more

The food was very good. I really liked the momos (dumplings) in particular, as well as the appetizer platter. The terrace is decent and it's a quiet spot to enjoy your food. One thing worth noting - the aperitif maison is truly bizarre. It's blue curacao and... I don't even know. It's odd. And not tasty, either. Since I have travelled through India in 2013 I have been looking for good Indian restaurants in Brussels, so I have actually tried a few... L'Everest is now my favourite! They do nepalese/indian cusine and whatever you choose you can't go wrong! I have been here many times by now and tried many of their dishes. what I love is that they can adapt dishes and spiceness, so if you know Indian cuisine, just ask them also if it is not in the menu! If you are vegetarian, I strongly suggest you ask them for a paneer tikka masala: it's the best ever! (The chicken version is also very good of course!) I could list all the amazing dishes I have tried and you should to, but it would be half of the menu! So just go there and choose or let them advice you! The service is impeccable! They welcome you with freshly made pappadam and chutney as well as with a small mashed potato "thing"., aloo tikki And at the end of your meal they bring you a green non-alcoholic shot: you should guess what is inside! :) Ah, and they have the best naan in Brussels! Try the cheese one: it's just so good! When the nice weather starts they also have a terrace on the back! read more

Very happy I was able to convince my friends to try this out. They have space for large groups, and we were able to walk in with no booking around 9pm on a Tuesday evening, no problem. They have outdoor space in the back, which was great since it was rather warm. I'm going to keep this review short and sweet. Try it... but moreover, try some of the dishes that aren't on your 'standard Western Indian place' menu... (mainly the ones that are more Nepalese) you won't regret it! The food was really authentic and good. They gave a few free complementary things like this fried appetizer before the meal and a shot of lychee minty drink after. The naans are pretty big and the rice portion is enough for two people. There are a variety of dishes on the menu with a lot of vegetarian options too. The price is okay, one dish is around 15,50€ and goes up to 17,50€ for dishes with prawn. The atmosphere is dim lit and calm. I visited Everest this week for the first time, following recommendations of a very good friend of mine. I could not have been happier by this choice. We were a big group of people so we ordered several dishes, which we shared. Each and every single one of them was beyond tasty. Important to highlight is the excellent service. The waitress offered us Nepalese goodies as a warm welcome and Nepalese non-alcoholic shots at the end. We went to L'Everest on 01/09/2015 without a reservation, but as we were early (we arrived around 7pm) we were the second table in the restaurant. About half an hour later there were quite some people for being a tuesday evening though. First of all the interior of the restaurant was nicely done and very clean, not a single remark on that. Also the toilets were very clean. We decided to have two main courses, "Chicken Sekuwa" and "Safari Lamb", a little spicy, but not too much (you can aks how spicy you want your dishes), with two bowls of rice and one time the "cheese naan" bread. Both dishes were really great. We preferred the sauce of the "Safari Lamb" dish as the best of both, but the texture of the chicken in the other dish was slightly better than the texture of the lamb. We however enjoyed both dishes very much. Afterwards we decided to have a dessert too. We had the Gulab Jamun, which was really great as the sweetness was well-balanced and there was a nice slight touch of ginger. In the end it was a great experience and well worth 5 stars. You have to look carefully at the card though as the price you pay for the dishes is only for the dish and not for the rice or the bread. The rice and bread is served separately and you have to pay for it separately too. For the dish being more spicy we also paid 5% more. In the end we paid about 26 euro per person, which was fair as we also both had a glass of wine. read more

One of my most memorable meals during my two months of traveling, and the best Nepalese food I have had outside of Nepal. We ordered everything to share and it was all delicious, and we especially appreciated the complimentary digestive at the end of our meal. I had high expectations on this restaurant after reading so many praising reviews on this page. Sadly I was slightly disappointed. The waitresses were friendly enough but very slow to react or even to take our order. It took about 1h to get the food we ordered. Also the complimentary snack that was offered as we waited was a piece of chicken (this was not mentioned, just left on the table) which luckily my boyfriend tasted first since I'm a vegetarian myself. We never received the extra rice we ordered (which finally we didnt even miss) but it was still added on the bill. After pointing this out it was simply removed from the bill with no apologies. All in all the food was good but the rest not so much. read more
