Thalis and some vegetarian dish with cauliflower

It is really good Nepal and Indian restaurant. The place look fancy, with rosy table cloth and all those. My girlfriend said you can tell if a restaurant is fancy by feeling if their plates are warm (from disinfection process). And theirs' are. The price is comparably cheap, normal dinner price for Brussels. Forget exactly how much, but around 20 each. Food is amazing. We are normally meat lovers, but if we ever eat vegetables, they better be cooked indian :D.

I went to this place on a Saturday evening and to be honest it started awfully. It was 9pm and the place was overcrowded. Even though we had a table booked for only 2 we still had to wait in line an extra 30 minutes to get to sit to a table next to the front door. No wonder why it was empty ... The food was tasty but arrived 1h15 after ordering. I had a chicken tikka masala and it was da bomb. Totally worth waiting ! My friend had the prawn biryani and it was also fire. The quality/price is more than okay. Free virgin shots at the end of the meal ;-) Good food, poor service. Cash/ credit, debit cards

    Perfect cup of chai

I am unbelievably incredulous about everyone who touts the food here as amazing. I was quite honestly---horrified by just about everything we ate here---with the exception of the most perfect cup of chai I have ever drank outside of my own home. Everything had something sweet thrown into it. Like, actual, crystallized fruit pieces, or pineapple. Even though we asked for things to be spicy---we kept looking at each other going --"is there any spice in this, at all?" I am so thoroughly confused by the incredible reviews that were given, because from appetizers to entrees ---not one thing we ate was good. While the service was wonderful and the ambiance was really chill and beautiful---I can't express to you how bad our meals were. How is Nepalese/Indian cuisine chock full of crystallized fruit and pineapple??? HOW? It almost made us want to try it again to see if there was some horrible fluke---but when a meal crashes so hard, you absolutely do not go back for seconds. BUT---I would stop by to see if I could get that chai for take away!

Terrific Indian restaurant in Louise. First, the ambiance is great. From the slate serving dishes to the Everest painting on the back wall, the place has character. The food was excellent. It's one of the few places with legitimately spicy Indian food. The paneer was high quality. The chicken korma was sweet. The vegetable naan was inventive. The desserts were very good too -- especially the Everest dessert. Although some of the dishes were so-so, overall, I was pleased. Finally the service was great. First, they gave us a complementary aloo tiki to start and ended with a complementary digestif. The people were really nice. The restaurant is overall very accommodating of different food preferences. And the prices were very reasonable.

We took the metro and then a bus from Midi south station and reached here. It was Sunday and as per him, Brussels is closed on Sunday that's why you are not seeing any rush. Anyway, we entered the restaurant. It was neat & clean, good ambiance. The waiter greeted us and we got the table in a quick time. We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Masala Dosa, Mini Ghee Sambar Idli, Vegetable Spring Kati roll, Onion Rava Masala Dosa. No doubt, the taste was awesome. Ghee idli especially. I liked my Dosa & Sambhar too. Plenty of options on the menu. Service was bit on the slower side though it was not crowded. And yes, they don't serve tap water. We paid 5 euro for water too. I am not used to paying for water so it's strange for me. And then they claim every fountain water in Europe is safe to drink. #irony

We waited for more than 30 minutes before being served and almost an hour before our food arrived. There was no decor to speak of. Not fun when it's around zero degree! Food was okay. Nothing to write home about.

The ambience is cute with dim lighting and music. They start the table off with some papadum that is thin and crisp like a round big chip plus some chutney and sauces to dip it with. In ordering it was a task because of my parents. They are funny and they generally do not like chicken, instead like beef and fish. So I made sure to order beef seekh kabobs, plus mixed grills and saag paneer(spinach with cheese). We got our food but the beef kabob looked like chicken but in the dim lighting I wasn't sure, so I asked the server. They confirmed no it's beef. Then we tired it and we know how chicken tastes like. So then flagged down the server again and he got embarrassed and said they ran out of beef. I wish they were upfront about it from the beginning. They could have handled this situation better. At the end they were apologetic. But surprisingly my parents liked the chicken option and overall the food was really good. The naans were freshly made and great as well. The two servers at the end spoke to my parents about some authentic food variety etc. After the beef hiccup episode, this was a good experience. I would give them another try when visiting this city. It's always good to dine at the restaurant multiple times to get a feel for it.~

This particular neighborhood of Brussels has tons and tons of food options so if we didn't get a table the options are unlimited. Mumtaz is an old school restaurant with decor from the 1980s which has yet to be updated or changed. Being a small restaurant seating is limited so you manage what you got. The manager of the restaurant was from Lahore and he was making his best efforts but an improvement is required on that front. We specifically ordered beef seekh kebabs yet we got chicken seekh and when we checked with the server they said they ran out of beef so we gave you chicken. The food was pretty decent and the naans were tasty but management needs a rethink on how to run the kitchen and restaurant.

We knew ahead of time that the buffet was pricey, at 40 euros per person, not including any drinks, not even water. I looked at the menu, and that was also rather pricey at about 20-25 euros per main course. The buffet had just been set out and had a large selection, so I decided to go with that to be able to taste a little bit of everything. I'm glad I did the buffet, because now I can say without a doubt that it is not worth going back to this restaurant. My usual buffet strategy is to take a tiny sample of everything on my first plate, that way I know what to go back and have a larger portion of for my second plate. Nothing on the buffet was worth more than one bite, and I probably tried at least ten different items. Nothing was disgusting, but nothing was particularly good, and all the meats and fish tasted very overcooked. The food was all pretty bland, and nothing was even remotely spicy, nor did they offer and spicy condiments. The desserts were the same story; there was a large selection, but nothing was very good, aside from the freshly sliced mango. On the plus side, the servers were very good and super nice, and the restaurant was decorated beautifully. Unfortunately, they failed on the food, where it really counts. I definitely won't be back.
