I needed to board my 2 cats for a week and find a new primary vet for my cats. I asked them to do a claw trim during their stay. I've been trimming my cats claws for them at home this entire time without much trouble from either cat. Somehow they managed to traumatize one of my cats! Ever since their stay, my cat has been terrified of me trimming his claws and touching his paws. Additionally, they did a general check-up of my cats during the stay. The vet that did their exams tried to push me to sedate my more timid cat for future visits, saying he "curls up and stiffens to resist their handling." Not lashing out or attacking them, they were upset they had to deal with a cat that timidly cowers. The vet spoke to me as if he should behave more like a dog. This place does not understand cats and does not treat them well. The one positive experience I had here was the ladies at the front desk were polite and informative, but I do not trust the vets here with any cats.

I show up and I'm told that all appointments are cancelled because of a system power outage. I received no phone call or voicemail that they aren't taking their appointments due to that. In fact, I tried calling the office to let them know I'll be running about 5 minutes late because of traffic. Another vet office answered and explained they are taking calls for "Serrano Animal and Bird Hospital" but mentioned NOTHING about a system power outage. They couldn't tell me that the office was experiencing a power outage and aren't taking their appointments today??????????? The woman just said "Thanks for calling. I'll let the office know you're running late." Overall, I understand that the system power outage was out of their control but it could have been handled much better. It also just seemed that they care about taking your money over the care of their animals. I won't be going back to the is office out of principal.

Dr. Heather Matthew arrived with her vet tech on time and were both so lovely and kind with our cats. We have three very different cat personalities and of course all had different reactions to being examined. Each one was handled and examined with their personal temperament taken into consideration. Dr. Matthew recommended a diet change of switching to more of a canned/wet food and much less dry kibble. It was a big change and adjustment for our very hungry (and overweight) boys, however I can't believe the noticeable difference in all of their coats AND breath! They all seem much more happy and content with this new diet and look so much better with the slight weight loss they have since experienced, as well.
