This is a very professional, responsive outfit and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They are easy to communicate with (emails almost always answered within an hour or less). The crew who did the work were friendly, thorough and left the basement as spotless as a basement can be. Since the remediation, I've asked the owner several questions about other potential contamination issues and he's always been helpful. Five stars, for sure.

I live about an hour from them, but was told my location was no issue so they came and gave me an estimate for what seemed like a pretty straightforward job and they said they'd call me. Didn't hear from them for a couple weeks, I called, said I'd get a call back, didn't, called again, said I'd get a call back again, this went on for a while until I finally got a text from the guy that did the estimate saying the company doesn't want to provide services because of location (actually they said they wanted someone closer to replace my floors, but they would handle the mold under them if I really wanted, though when the man came to my house he said all along he would get someone else to do the floors, not him, they would just address the water damage, which I was fine with). Anyway, very confused I requested some sort of explanation- called the woman who answers the phone many times who was as confused as I was, extremely apologetic and knew *exactly* what to say to sound regretful, guaranteed someone would call me back... which never happened. I had to keep calling and calling, to which she would apologize profusely again in shock that no one ever got back to me. And yet, I NEVER got any sort of explanation of what happened after many guarantees that "the owner would call me." So i wasted many weeks of time when this problem needed to be addressed and fixed quickly to avoid more mold from growing, in addition, most importantly, to the risk my family (including my newborn baby) was at by (reluctantly) letting this man into my house during the pandemic because I knew this needed to be dealt with in a timely fashion. If they came for the estimate and decided they couldn't do the job I expect a very prompt phone call. The exact opposite happened and I had to chase them down and then still was left with zero information, explanation or apology to this day.

Each time (but the last one, obviously), we had to call them and cancel the visit. Each time they were incredibly easy to reach despite one being at 7pm and another with less than 24 hours of notice! The voices on the end of the phone each time were sweet and caring and offered just the right amount of sympathy for the lost house every time we had to cancel. Finally, we didn't have to cancel! We've had the pleasure of working with Mike and Karen, and we talked to Mark a few times. Mike and Karen did the actual review and we couldn't be happier. They were on time (though we were not...) and immediately got to work taking pictures and taking notes. We had scheduled four hours for the inspection and we used every second. They both showed kindergarten-teacher level patience with us as we followed them around and tripped over our own feet asking questions. They walked us through everything and provided context to their points to make it easy to understand. I feel like I can actually read a boiler now! They answered questions we didn't even know we had. We expected the report the next day, but it arrived at 11:01pm that night. I'm not sure if that's always the case, but our house was in great condition, so there weren't a lot of things to elaborate on, but it was still a thorough 53 pages. Having that report and knowing exactly how each aspect was examined gave us the kind of confidence that we needed to buy our first house. I really can't express how pleased we were with our treatment and you can bet that when we buy our next home, if Hawkeye Home Inspections is still around (only because we don't plan on buying another home for a while), they'll be hearing from us again!

Within a couple weeks of moving in we went to clean the tub. Filled it and began running the jets only to see the water level dropping about 1/2 inch over 10 minutes. The have deflected, blamed us, lied on other sites about offering help (they sent a list of plumbers they found on google), claimed it's a "non invasive inspection" when no invasive inspection was asked for the leak is clearly visible. They are the lowest quality of inspection you can find. It was haphazardly rushed so the inspector could leave to meet up with his wife in NY that afternoon and we are paying the price. I have tried to work with the dishonest Mr. Male. He refuses to take any responsibility or offer any reasonable remed. He is also refusing to provide license #s. That in itself should tell you what type of business they run. They collect your money, show up and look around like it's an open house showing and then when there are issues they will deny all responsibility. Had they done a thorough inspection we would not be in this position. hell, if Mr Male could find a plumber capable of doing the repair he thinks is needed we would not be in this position.

Chuck was extremely thorough, both in his verbal explanation of what he was looking at during the inspection and the detailed report he provided afterwards. Following the inspection, I must have called Chuck at least a half dozen times with follow-up questions regarding possible issues he had identified. He returned every call promptly (many times well after normal business hours) and was very patient with me as I tried to understand what we were dealing with. His administrator Charlotte was also a pleasure to speak with and very helpful in setting up the appointment and taking my messages. Home inspection companies don't get any better than this!

Chuck came out and did a great job with our inspection - very detailed, thorough, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. It made it a no-brainer when we decided to sell the house and buy a new house in Attleboro. Our second Jigsaw inspector was Mark. He was at least as thorough as Chuck. We arrived slightly late for the inspection and Mark arrived early, so he had already perused the outside of the house and taken good notes. There were even areas that are outside of the scope of a normal home inspection that, while he didn't technically 'inspect', he made note of what looked sound and what we may want to pay particular attention to. We received a very detailed report with pictures, recommendations, and approximate time we have left before something may need repair or replacement. Because I don't plan on moving any time soon I don't want to hire Jigsaw again :) However, if I did need an inspection or if I ever hear of anyone who does, I will not hesitate to recommend them. They're great. No upselling, no BS...just a straight up professional home inspection by highly qualified people.

Doing a web search, Metro was one of many home inspection companies that had a straight-forward website and online booking. However, what set Metro apart from the others is that they listed the available days and time slots that they had inspectors available. They even had the name of the most probable (subject to change) inspector to make the appointment. That was important because I knew when the home we were considering was available to be opened, and I could quickly line up a day/time that worked out for both sides. After the appointment was set, I was called by one of the staff. She called to "talk me out of" the radon and pest inspection services (extra charge) because of the type of home and area it was located, those services were not valuable. The cherry on top was that for the month, they were giving a "gold" discount on the overall cost. Inspection went as planned and I received the final report by the end of the same day. I never had to state that I needed a quick turnaround, but I get the sense they knew based on the dates of our real estate transaction. Just superb service, and really made me feel I could not get as good of a service with any of the other inspection companies I was considering. If we ever buy another property in the metro Boston area, I'm using Metro 100%!

The inspection was very thorough, and Tod took his time to ensure he didn't miss anything that could cause issues down the road. The resulting report was delivered in less than 24 hours after the inspection, and Tod prioritized the issues based on criticality/safety so it was clear which repairs needed to be done promptly and which ones could wait. I highly recommend Tod and his company for your inspection needs and will be using their services again in the future.
