Another outstanding experience purchasing a Custom Knife through KnifePurveyor!…read moreThank you Michael for setting the bar for others. You are the epitome of honesty, integrity and always provide an outstanding buying experience. Thank you for your follow up, seldom found in today's business environment. When purchasing items of high value it's comforting to know you and your team at KnifePurveyor.com are behind the scenes, allowing us, your customers, to feel we confident we made the right choice. After twenty five plus years of buying from you, I'm honored to be a client where trust and satisfaction is paramount. I always expect a high level of customer service which is seldom received in today's market, however, you never fail to exceed my expectations. Thank you Michael Gregory Giovannelli

I am a custom knife maker. I feel like it is my responsibility to operate with enough integrity…read morethat if you give me money for a knife, I will hand you a knife. If I don't hand it to you, it is my responsibility to have someone else hand it to you. Earlier this year I had a knife lost in the mail. I did not fulfill my responsibility so I made another knife and made sure the customer got what he bought from me. That is my job, to operate with integrity and do right by my customers. I tell this story to preface my experience with Knife Purveyor, who does not operate with the same level of integrity, I would say zero integrity. I ordered a knife from them on Monday. I paid $30 for Fed Ex two day shipping. It should have arrived Wednesday. It did not. There was a confirmation photo of my package sitting on someone else's porch, but not mine. The person that Knife Purveyor contracted to hand me my knife failed in their task. I caught this within minutes and called Fed Ex. I was told "walk around and see if you can find it and if not, have the seller open a claim." This was completely unacceptable. When ordering from Knife Purveyor, you have an opportunity to pay extra for signature required. To me, it is my responsibility to have a secure delivery area for when the package is delivered, if not secure and someone may take it, then I should pay for that feature. I knew I would be home and I was, two minutes after it said it was delivered I opened the door. I did not pay for sig delivery because I knew I would be there and there would not be a problem with theft. I guess I should have thought that decision out as a person with zero integrity would operate and paid extra. Instead, I entrusted my purchase to someone that has no care about customer satisfaction and chooses an agent to deliver the product that just hands it to anyone they see. I brought this to their attention immediately. While friendly people on the phone, they are unhelpful and have no desire to do the right thing. They blamed me for not choosing signature required. If they would have said on the site "we will use any loophole we can to blame someone else for the problem" then I would have checked that box and paid, or not have done business with them at all. I lose here because I didn't fully understand the type of person I was dealing with. I told him he could get $100 basic insurance from Fed Ex and he shouldn't have to pay the $30 Fed Ex fee so refund that to me. I am still out $75 but I got something back. If doing business with this person after reading this, then I wish you luck. Just remember, when dealing with Knife Purveyor, operate from a position of "Buyer Beware" and do everything in your power to protect yourself, because they don't care about you. After doing some research, they changed their policy today so it appears this situation is my fault. Luckily, you can't hide from archive.org and you can see that yesterday their policy claimed responsibility until the package arrived at the address the customer gave. Do with this info as you will. I don't care about the money now, I want everyone to know about this company, their business practices, and their lack of integrity.

COOKING CLASS REVIEW ONLY:…read more : ( Sharing the cooking amongst four people is a disappointing experience. Not nearly enough hands-on work for the student (Suggestion: Give people the option to cook as a twosome for a higher fee). : ( Upon entering the kitchen we found our name tags and introduced ourselves to the instructor. When we asked "what is your name?" ...we were told "I will tell you my name later whenever everyone arrives because I have a big 'shpeel' to deliver and I don't want to repeat myself.' (Suggestion: Try to make your clients feel welcomed by saying 'My name is....) : ( Too much of the cooking is not done by the students; even a simple two-ingredient step in the recipe was not done by us but was done by the instructor?! We had to gather around and watch this very simple thing (Suggestion: Let the student do a bit more). : ( Somewhat difficult to hear instructor with exhaust fans and classroom noise. : ) Food was good to eat : ) Having all the raw ingredients set up and measured Maybe if you have friends that want to drink wine (BYOB) and watch you cook ...this maybe a good fit for you.

The reason I state semi is that…read morewhile they do have a good amount of specialty items, there are also a good amount of gaps, especially if looking for specific items. While at first the prices may seem high, the items they are selling are high quality and prices are in fact fairly typical for what they have in store. Now one thing that was surprising, typically when stores sell their own branded items, they are cheaper, however here it seemed to be the opposite with many items. The staff were friendly, but not the most knowledgeable. They were definitely trying to help, but at the same time they appeared to be incredibly busy, even though the store was mostly empty, running back and forth from the back grabbing items and helping customers pickup items before being able to help out others.
