It ended up on the side of the road, where Dayron found it. He took the time to track down my contact information, call me, and even drive back to a nearby gas station to meet me so he could return it. I offered him money as a thank-you, but he kindly refused, saying he would hope someone would do the same for him if he were in that situation. Acts of kindness like that are rare these days and say a lot about a person and the company they represent. Needless to say, I will definitely be using Naples Tree Trimming Service for any future tree work. Thank you, Dayron, and thank you, Naples Tree Trimming Service! -- Bill B.

Details follow: 1) We agreed to remove the fallen portions of 3 trees for $8000. 2) They offered a cash discount, and gave us an invoice for $7000. 3) After the 2nd visit, they left half of the yard covered in trunks and debris and expressed disinterest in coming back for various reasons. 4) They offered another discount for delaying the job "until Fall," or they would keep the price the same and come back sooner to finish it. The new total was $6500, and we hold on to $1000 until the job is done, so we paid $5500 at their office. 4) Later they changed the deal, and said they were offering a discount to NOT finish the job at all ($6500), or else they were going to put off finishing our job "until the next season" (ie. 1-2 months out...). 6) They blamed my wife for being 'frustrated' as the reason these miscommunications occurred, not knowing that they were on speaker phone and I heard what they said and offered myself, and she was always friendly. They claim the delay in finishing the job is because they're "too busy with emergencies" (...until the next season...) 7) Then they demanded we pay the remaining $1000. We kept our word. They removed about 2 trees, and our yard is still covered in debris, entire tree trunks, and they left having done maybe 2/3 to 3/4 of the job if I'm being generous. Our yard is torn up badly with entire solid dirt patches, estimated ~200 square feet in addition to smaller patches throughout as a result of their tools, tractors, and methods, which we unfortunately signed away in our contract (we upheld our end...).

They promptly and safely took down all the trees and were very organized in doing so. On the smaller trees, they both worked with their chain saws and then took the cut wood to either a very large truck or to a chipper. After an hour, Brian drove the filled truck to a recycle center while TJ performed the chipping of the wood. All the chips were thrown into a semi covered truck so there were no wood chips left on the property. While they were working, I had some 1 foot stumps of trees taken down previously by another company and when Brian saw those, he cut them much closer to the ground without my asking him to do so which was pretty considerate in my mind. When Brian left to take the wood to the recycle center, he told us that he was leaving and would be back in 1/2 hour so we knew what to expect. When he returned, there was an additional tree that I wanted to have cut down based on the fact that they showed me that it had a disease and was dying so they both worked on that (Brian was on a cherry picker cutting the tree top to bottom while TJ was taking the downed wood to either the truck or chipper). They tied each section of cut wood so that when it was separated from the tree, they could drop it to the ground safely and in a controlled manner. After all of that was done, they checked around the entire property and picked up all the smaller branches and the leaves that came off the trees and then used a blower to clean off all other debris. I was very pleased with the thoroughness of how they performed the work. They did a fantastic job and in fact, they will be coming back in the next week or two to cut down another very large tree which happens to be dying and is close to my house. I told them that I wasn't in any hurry and to just call me to schedule that based on their other work. I highly recommend Brian Callaghan Licensed Tree Expert LLC. You will be very pleased with the results.
