I worked my first event for Amy, and she was a great person to work for! She was super professional throughout the whole set-up. She listened to the client and was super flexible and understanding. I will continue working for her, and she will sure be planning any of my future events!!!

A huge thank you to Amy and her team. We had to create a beautiful wedding scape last minute and she rocked it! From the drapery, linens, tables, cutlery, plates, glasses, and much of the decor - everyone commented how beautiful it turned out. We couldn't have done it without her beautiful rentals, positive attitude, and flexibility. I will use her for any event that requires that added touch. Thank you, Amy!

If you are looking for party rentals for ANY event Amy Shabby Chic Rental is the absolute best!!!! Amy went above and beyond to make sure my wedding vision came to life! Amy was very professional and always responded (I was a bit Bridezilla/control freak) so it gave me so much peace Amy was always available for me whenever I needed her. I have never planned a wedding or big event and without a doubt I couldn't have done it without Amy. She was extremely Patient with me and answered all of my questions and concerns. Amy has an amazing way of keeping her clients calm and happy while handling any situation that might arise during the chaos that sometimes comes with planning. I can't express how gratefulness lucky I am to have met Amy and been able to trust her with the most important event in my life. Amy genuinely cared about my thoughts and did everything to make sure that my big day was exactly what I wanted from researching options, calling vendors even referring me to a hairstylist . Amy's heart shines so bright and she has a true passion for what she does if you want to have a perfect event with one of the most caring and compassionate peoplei have ever met Amy should be your only option.

She put out table together with a few hours notice! She's great

I got married 10/07/17 the night before my wedding I realized the decorater I had hired didn't deliver any of my head table things. So I found Amy through Facebook and contacted her since she was located in the area she picked up and I told her I needed a head table decorater ASAP. She put together our table and backdrop within a few hours notice! We are so greatfuk for her she even said she will price match! She is very affordable we will be issuing her for future events.

Working with Vanessa as our wedding planner was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!…read moreFrom day one, she made the entire planning process smooth, enjoyable, and completely stress-free. Beyond the logistics, she was such a joy to work with! We can't thank Vanessa enough for making our dream wedding come to life. If you're looking for someone who's organized, passionate, and genuinely cares about their clients, look no further. Vanessa is an absolute gem!

To preface, I have experience hosting events from 50-200 guests and have worked with numerous…read morevenues and coordinators. Vanessa is by far the WORST venue coordinator I've interacted with in terms of customer service, industry knowledge, and communication skills. If you read the other positive reviews, you'll notice they ALL paid additional money for Vanessa to be their wedding coordinator. If you do not pay this, she is a horror to work with (as corroborated by the negative reviews), and I recommend AVOIDING this venue. Another reviewer also stated the owner is her brother-in-law so there is no recourse for her behavior and there are no other venue coordinators available. Detailed below are just some of the negatives: - The wedding was actually for my sister. She was having difficulties with Vanessa so asked me to assist. I reached out to Vanessa explaining who I was but never received a response. Instead, Vanessa told my sister that she felt threatened by my contact and will only work with individuals that signed the venue contract. I never said anything negative, but she often overreacted and took offense over nothing. - Every response took 2 weeks. She would contradict herself in the same email, which added confusion. - She would use made up lingo and when asked for clarification, she would blame us for not understanding "industry language" and still wouldn't clarify. In my 10 years, I've never heard some of the terms that she used. - She didn't understand standard wedding requests. We asked for a cake table and Vanessa responded that the request was unclear because she didn't know what size a cake table should be. We asked to add 2 rectangular side tables for guestbooks, gifts, etc. On the proposal, Vanessa commented "unsure why the client requested". - Unless asked, she wouldn't disclose critical information. We asked multiple times if additional tables (sweetheart, cocktail, etc.) are free. Vanessa confirmed they were free, but once the proposal arrived, it showed free tables with each linen at an additional charge. I told my sister to confirm if the venue provided cake cutting utensils. They don't (which is fine) but this is all information that you tell your clients without prompting. Imagine cutting the cake with no utensils! - When asked questions, she rudely responded with "NO" or "YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE" - In the 1.5 years of planning, despite multiple requests, the venue proposal was only updated twice - once for the initial contract and once when full payment was due 30 days before the event. My sister had to withhold final payment to get her to update it. She updated it 1 week after with inaccurate information. We annotated and returned it next day saying that she'd pay once it was correct. Vanessa had the audacity to respond that making notes on the proposal made it seem like they were stalling payment. Granted, there were 1-2 new updates amongst many more corrections but it was because Vanessa withheld information, and new adjustments were required after seeing the revised proposal for the 1st time. - Vanessa never provided a table layout. My sister had to create it and then confirmed if 5 round tables per row would work. On wedding day, we arrived to a different layout of 4 rounds per row. Vanessa blamed it on a 2 ft. wide photo arch, stating that she had to make adjustments to fit an arch that was discussed weeks prior. However, it was evident that the room would have NEVER fit 5 rounds per row. We had to rearrange the seating chart and the chairs to accommodate for her mess. - Also on wedding day, Vanessa was surprised to find the timeline included a champagne toast. Mind you, the timeline was provided 30 days ago and toasts are standard in weddings. So, she gave us 30 mins to decide on the additional champagne cost. I asked to remove 1 champagne bottle charge as there was an entire table of kids, but she refused. So apparently, the venue includes children in the champagne count even though serving alcohol to minors is illegal. - There was also a safety hazard. About 25 chairs with wheels/casters were intermingled with standard dining chairs. I unknowingly sat in a chair with casters and almost fell. There was no visible difference between the standard chairs vs. chairs with casters, and the table linens prevent anyone from seeing the casters. I told Vanessa who saw no issues and argued that people falling out their chair has never happened before. Thankfully, we were able to get these all replaced prior to the wedding to avoid any older guests from getting hurt. To the owner: Not only is Vanessa horrible to clients, but since she never updated the proposal, the kitchen used the original headcount and cooked 40 additional meals (talk about a waste of money). Also, due to not providing a table layout, the banquet captain Griselda set up tables once, and then had to come back 1 hr earlier to redo it, making staff do avoidable extra work.

The setup itself is just weird; you have to stand outside and wait for someone to come out to seat you. When you go inside, its small and has kind of a "bar meets saddam hussein's palace" kind of vibe, there is gold everywhere in here. Not to mention its a bar that has been converted into a restaurant, its separated by the check-in desk by drapery. One good point is that all of the staff is very friendly and attentive, although I think our waitress had to cover every table in the place, which seems kind of not great for her! We started with some drinks, they were both good, no complaints there. After they came we ordered our food, we ordered them one at a time. First up was the bacon wrapped dates. These were pretty good, the bacon was cooked well and had some good crisp, it paired well with the dates and cheese inside. The walnut was kind of weird and my wife and I both thought for a second the date pit hadn't been removed. Next we got the corn empanadas, these were disappointing but not awful. The dough was cooked fine but it has absolutely no flavor, like nothing at all. The filling was also cooked ok, the corn had good texture, but similarly, had no flavor, about the only thing I could tint was a tiny bit of cilantro. Once you dip it in the sauce that comes with it, things improve, but we both felt the empanadas should be able to stand on their own. The last tapas item we got was the costillas al ajillo, these were both disappointing AND awful. They are advertised as "fall off the bone fried rib tips, garlic infused olive oil, crisp garlic chips" The only thing crispy about this was the meat itself, it was incredibly dry and had no flavor. There was a little bit of olive oil and some minced garlic, but not "crispy garlic chips". Credit where credits due they took if off the bill, but it was just incredibly bad. We finished with the chocolate flan which was quite good, no complaints there. All in all it was disappointing and I don't know that we would come back.

So yeah, that long. I'm on vacation this week and didn't want it to be a stay-cation. In fact, I was hoping to get away for at least an overnight trip. I was thinking, Santa Cruz, Tahoe, Lots Angeles even. I shoot my ideas over to my wife and she says, I was thinking Dave and Busters. Clearly we were on different pages. But I understand where she is coming from, and as you can see, her idea won out. We don't tell the kids where we are going. They just know we are going somewhere for lunch and that it's a surprise. We pull up and my youngest says, I've always wanted to come here! We drive past it every week on the way to gynastics so I shouldn't have been surprised. The older kids barely remember going to D&B as kids, so it's a treat for them too. We walk in and we get the biggest gift ever by a guy with his boys walking out. He has an all day pass that he wants to give to us. We can use it for tickets, but the games will be free. We come to find out that there is a 30 second freeze on the card in between uses, but we learn to adjust. But I'm getting ahead of myself. We order our food, ensuring that we order from the menu where we can get a game card. Best bang for our buck. I got the crispy chicken sandwich with Buffalo sauce. Three of my kids got cheese burgers and my wife got the wings. Everyone enjoyed their food. What my son and I really wanted was the Buffalo chicken sandwich that comes with blue cheese, but it didn't come with a game card. In addition to the free all-day card we received, we ended up with 4-$10 gaming cards, but those go quick! Like, 15-20 min. Mostly by my daughter playing games that earn tickets. My oldest is more interested in skill games. There's one in the middle where you step on lights on the ground or touch them on the wall. We did that one as a family. Lots of fun. We spent about 2 hours there. I'm sure the boys would have stayed longer if they could but my daughter was winding down. Before we leave, we pass the all-day card to another family. Let them benefit from it too

Food came out on time but no mustard or ketchup or any dipping sauce came out with it. She also charged my guest a soda and I paid for unlimited soda for my guest in the contract. We repeatedly asked our server and she just kept saying she will get it. She was very forgetful the whole time. She also kept telling us she was working a double shift and that she's tired not sure why we need to know that information also she would take 25 mins to bring in our drinks and then she would say "I'm just one person I can't carry everything" which I felt was very rude and I know everyone else did. We ended up asking a gentlemen walking by to help us out with dips and sauces for the food and drinks and he did which was so kind of him. We spent over $500 on my mom's party and the server was just not the best. Very sweet girl but Brooklyn seemed like she was overwhelmed and didn't want to do it. Also my guest all had different tabs for drinks and she got our drinks mixed on different tabs and told us she couldn't fix it and if they don't mind just paying for somebody else's drink. When closing out the tabs she was telling us to leave a tip here (on the screen) and didn't give anybody receipts after we asked for them. And we find out the next day from Tere the event coordinator that there's an automatic gratuity charge of %20 on each guest tab because we are a party.. which was very unfortunate because we were not told that and we were still tipping her at the end on the card. Randy was the only one who told me when signing my contract and paying remaining balance that there's an automatic tip no need to tip. But I didn't know it applied to all my guest tabs when they were ordering drinks as well. Very inconvenient and the event coordinator should let people know there's automatic gratuity for everyone in your party and every transaction because you guys are a party. The managers were amazing but the server was not the best at all. And now I know for the future and I'll make sure to share that if you book a party here request two servers and that there's automatic gratuity in each transaction we do because we are a party.

They sent me a letter refusing to return any of the $300 deposit I paid because I went over the time of 4pm. (And because they say I didn't sweep and mop, I did sweep). If my event ended at 4, how would I break down and clean and be out by 4. But that didn't matter because she told me I had all day. I feel like this is a scam to keep the deposit. Located in a scenic agricultural area on the outskirts of Sanger, the restaurant is housed in an impressive original old school house. Check out the original plans of the school site and buildings posted in the interior hallway. The high ceilings and open layout make for a great atmosphere, though be warned: the noise level is quite high, as there isn't much to absorb it. Our server, Jacob, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable and friendly, and we especially appreciated that he included the prices of the daily specials upfront. Here's what we had for dinner: * Crab Fritters: Spectacular. The sweet red pepper sauce and the generous crab portions were beautifully presented. * Mixed Greens: A lesson in simplicity done right. It was perfectly dressed and easily shared between two. * Mahi Mahi: A standout special with a perfect sear and a moist center. * The Steak: Ordered medium and delivered as such, though it was a bit tough and felt "buried" under the heap of potatoes, onion rings, and asparagus. * Bari Lemon Olive Oil Cake: Do not let the name intimidate you! It was the star of the show. Moist, perfectly paired with fig ice cream, and large enough to share. The kitchen was unfortunately very slow. A large party of 20 on the patio seemed to back things up, leading to long gaps between our courses (though dessert arrived quickly). At nearly $200 for two, the pacing and the tough steak brought the experience down slightly, but the stellar service and elite appetizers/desserts still earn this a solid 4 stars.
