Classic Hallmark shop so large and well-stocked I couldn't believe I'd found it while visiting the Windward mall in Kaneohe. Found such a variety of things to purchase from cute starfish earrings, to a special book for my son and another for a friend, and candles that were Buy-one-get-one, and special birthday cards. This Hallmark Shop feels more like the "classic" Hallmark Shop. From the Precious Moments to Disney merchandise they have so much temptations here it takes so much focus for me to keep myself in check. What my go to besides cards and everything that they have here is their natural life line I love the boho bandeau and use it for work. This is the best thing to hold my hair and it's just so magical...sorry I don't have a picture of it because I was so excited that I ripped it off the cardboard and used it instantly lol! Horrible customer service. I was going to exchange an item last week with the receipt, but they were closed during mall hours. I tried to get store credit today, but misplaced my receipt. The don't honor the return policy without a receipt?!! The policy states At Hallmark, we stand behind the quality of our products. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with our product, simply return it to the store for a refund or exchange within 90 days of the original purchase date. Gold Crown stores' return policy will be printed on the receipt. With a receipt, choose a refund, exchange, or merchandise credit. Without a receipt, receive an exchange or merchandise credit valued at the current retail selling price. Don't shop here as they do not honor the policy! Excellent customer service in a small card store. I went here looking for birthday cards and a sales associate came up asking if I need any help. I was ok since I located the correct card aisle located in the back of the store. When I was checking out, the same associate told me about buying cards in 3, 6, or 9 to get 300, 600, or 900 bonus points. Good tip to know or else you get 30 - 80 points per card depending on the price. This sale's associate was very polite and helpful! I give 4 stars only because the card collection for dad birthday cards were very limited. There were many cards for him but I was looking for a dad specific birthday card. I noticed the selection isn't that wide here, but you will find a card you need even in the limited selection. read more

This cute little shop is located at Windward Mall. As I don't live on the Windward side, I don't frequent this mall but my daughter was doing an event today. They had a lot of interesting Fall items on display which peaked my interest. I went in the store walked around and took a look at a lot of different items. I can see how you can spend a lot of time in this store! Two different workers came up to me during that time and asked me if I needed any help, and we're super friendly. I eventually found two personalized ornaments for my children and made my way to the cashier. The cashier was actually the manager and she was very personable. Overall good experience. Such cuteness! When I am at Windward Mall, on the Ground Level, I usually pass by this shop quickly to avoid temptation. However, this time, a large Hello Kitty plushie called me in... There also were plushie sets of Star Wars, Star Trek, and Disney princesses! When did they get plushie charms of Snoopy & Woodstock, Hello Kitty & My Melody. and Mickey & Pluto? And Captain America and Wonder Woman and Ariel??? To make matters worse, a female employee approached me and gave me a coupon for 40 percent off one regularly priced item when 3 items are donated to the Next Step Shelter. She suggested purchasing the 90 percent off Christmas ornaments because the children at the shelter like to decorate the place! I know where Next Step Shelter is (and what it's about) because our church group served dinner there. The place is locked during the day because the clients should be at work and the children should be in school. It opens again for dinner and restoration time. Wow - this promotion is so tempting. I wanted the 90 percent off Rudolf ornament for myself! Haha! I hurried home to think about it... Do I need any greeting cards? Gift wrap? Other gifts?? Hmmm... Today was a five star experience thanks to deana (sp). She was so sweet and super super helpful! She explained to me how to get rewards and helped me sign up for them! So last year after Christmas we bought a Christmas train that was on sale paid about $150 didn't open it and stored it for this year. Opened it up only to find that it was someone's used and returned item! Not only does the train not work! But the smoke liquid, directions and some other parts were missing! The remote control had batteries in it that corroded!! They should have at least let us know that it was a used item!!! I had a great shopping experience at this location. I was greeted upon entering the store and was given time to look around. I found 2 lovely birthday cards that I was shopping for and when I needed help looking for a gift for my grandmother the associate Tammy was so helpful. At the register Tammy & another associate (didn't get her name) notified me that if I spent $15 more dollars I'd get a free pumpkin candy dish. So I did! Not too hard to do in this cute little store. If i could rate zero I would the staff is rude and hypocritacle. We called before coming to the store to do a return they told us to come. When we get there they tell us they were unable to do any of the returns because the cards could of been bought anywhere. Okay, well thats fine and all but why not have told us over the phone instead of having us drive all the way out there and wasting our time. They were not even willing to look through the system to see if any cards were okay to return. Terrible. Im dissappointed and wish I never came here. Update: We took the liberty of skimming through the cars ourselves and in fact found several cards in the store that were the same as ours. Booooooo! I will be steering clear of this place from now on. I got a call from this shop at 2pm on Christmas Eve because an ornament I wanted and for which I was put on a waiting list, was finally available. Great! But they wanted me to come in before the store closed that day! I was told they couldn't hold the ornament longer since it would be discounted the day after Christmas. Seriously? It's Christmas Eve, are you kidding me!?!? A little bit of notice would have been nice. Since it was impossible for me to make it out to the mall that day, I had to tell the Hallmark staffer I wouldn't be able to make it. The girl on the phone told me she was sorry but there was nothing she could do. I told her I was the one who was sorry. I was so irritated! We hung up and I stewed. I called the store back about 15 minutes later. The phone rang about 40 times before they picked up (I imagine this was due to the fact it was Christmas eve and the place was crazy busy). When they did pick up I asked for the manager and was put on hold for about 5 minutes. When the manager got on the phone I explained I was angry that they would only give me a couple of hours to pick up the ornament and she agreed to hold the ornament until December 26. But she also informed me that I would have to pay full price even though all ornaments would be on sale on the 26th. Whatever, fine. When I got to the store on December 26 the ornament was rung up and it was discounted automatically. The sales clerk then did an override and charged me full price. I find this extremely petty. They went out of their way to make sure they did not give me a discount on that ornament. It was only about $5 I would have saved and I don't really care about the money but the behavior was poor and I will never return to this store. This is the lamest behavior by a store manager and staff I have experienced in a very long time. Possibly the silliest and pettiest, ever. read more

Located in Windward Mall, it's very accessible. Growing up in Kaneohe, it always had the best selection of cards and other gift items. When I visited this time, it still had a wide selection and was quite busy. That didn't stop the sales people to still be polite and greet me as I entered. They were also very friendly as I checked out. And as I was leaving, they had displayed on a table, Star Wars Mini Plush toy sets! I almost bought it just because it was so cool! i can literally spend an hour in hallmark... they have a huge selection of cards for any occasion. i can usually find tons of hilarious birthday cards for many of my victims, ahem, i meant friends, (haha). not only do they carry regular cards, they also have the ones that make sounds/songs and VIDEO ones that play little clips of disney and other things. SOOO AWESOME! first of its kind i have ever seen... only downfall, it costs about $30 for it. ouch. they also carry precious moments, beanie babies galore, scrapbooks, photo albums, note cards, and when christmas rolls around, cute ornaments. read more
