I trained with Amy for a few years. She is very knowledgeable and really takes the time to tailor workouts so that you progress in your fitness goals. She keeps workouts fun and challenging by changing things up frequently. Amy also frequently checks in with you about your nutrition and gives pointers in changes you can make with food that support your fitness goals. She is by far the best personal trainer out there!

I have been fortunate to have Amy a part of my life. Personally, I wanted to make a life style change (long work hours, sedentary work, etc.) and decided to contact her. As someone who has struggled with my weight my whole life, I was nervous to start. I met with Amy about twice a week, starting in November through February. During my sessions, Amy was always encouraging, supportive, and motivational. During the workouts, I could feel myself getting stronger. She also helped me with improving my diet. Even when I felt like giving up, Amy was always there to cheer my on. Unfortunately, due to life circumstances, I had to move, but that never stopped Amy from keeping in touch. She continues to check in with me, and I am forever grateful for her. With that said, Amy really helped my kick start my lifestyle change. Since November, I have been able to lose 27 pounds. She has helped me improve my confidence and help me with my back problems. I would highly recommend Amy - we have even done virtual workouts and they are just as rewarding as the in-person workouts. Thank you, Amy for all you do!

Wanted to add this with my updated review. Lost 25 lbs of fat and gained 1.63 lbs of lean muscle working with Amy over the last 4 months!

You're not going to find anyone else that matches his knowledge, passion, and genuine love and kindness that he shows all his clients. He has an astonishing ability to remember each and every clients individual needs to the point he seems to know more about your body than you do some days. Jason has curated a special place that anyone, regardless of skill or experience level, are welcome and celebrated. He makes it a high priority to keep it this way, ensure gym goers never have to worry about being judged or bullied. Unlike traditional gyms, or even traditional gym group classes, you come in and work along with anywhere from 1-3 others to as many 6-7, but all focusing on your own individual workout. Jason seamlessly bounces around the gym space, directly and helping where he's needed. All this, and the rates are extremely affordable and generous. Jason treats this clients as people first and profit second, which is something I've never experienced elsewhere. Cannot recommend Jason enough, he and his gym are the gold standard!

I did a ton of research when l started looking for a personal trainer and interviewed several trainers in person. While they were all great in their own right, Lenora stood out among the rest. She has a solid education backing her training up and truly approaches it in a holistic way, which was exactly what I was looking for. So far she has helped me greatly! We are working through some postural issues I have and she is really great during every session making sure we are doing the right exercises to help strengthen and balance my body and changing something if it isn't working. Lenora really knows her stuff. She also helps me out nutritionally and is very educated in this as well. She makes workouts fun, but also kicks your a$$. She is very good at helping you learn to push yourself and cheering you on the whole way. She finds out what really motivates you and utilizes that in your sessions. She's firm, yet gentle and nurturing at the same time. Basically, she is amazing. She is changing my body, mind and spirit....my whole life! I will be continuing to work with her for a while. She is also guiding me through training for a 1/2 marathon. I have never been a runner, but with her help, I am becoming one...at age 34! She used her training as a therapist to guide me through a time when I was in a toxic unsafe work environment and trying to keep depression at bay. She used her body understanding to help me get my body structurally aligned. She used her training in nutrition to assess my specific needs and advise me. I could text her a nutrition question and know her answers were based on the latest research! On top of all her technical skills, she is one of the kindest, high integrity people I know. Anyone would benefit from working with and knowing Lenora. Although she has moved across the country, I still have a weekly check in with Lenora that helps me to keep on track. Her advice is always spot on!

TLDR: I had fun, got a good workout, and would go again, but probably only every once and a while…read morebecause $$$. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in. I had never done an Orangetheory class before- I had never even been inside of one. (I thought the glass was orange, but when I got the studio tour, I realized the glass was clear, but all of the lights inside are orange). They loaned me a HR monitor and made sure I was comfortable on the rower and the treadmill before the class started. We didn't quite need the 30 minute pre-session block, but I can see how people with more questions might have used close to the entire thing. I got a good workout: I started on the rower, then moved to weights, then ended on the treadmill. The instructor was awesome, and I definitely got a good workout (the "orange zone" for which the business is named). I wish the weights section had been a little longer, but I was told they have different classes that focus on different sections instead of squeezing all 3 into an hour if you are looking for something more focused. The hardest part of the class for me was learning to use all of the buttons. Each machine syncs to your heartrate monitor, and a lot of the efforts are timed and designed to be at particular difficulties. By the end of class, I had gotten the hang of it. The instructor reviewed my chart with me (every person has one with your workout metrics, like average heart rate, calories, and time spent in each heart rate zone). They also send an email summary of the information, so you don't have to write anything down. I would totally go to another class, but I don't think I could use it as my only gym membership (I need at least a few heavy weights days). The only downside is the high cost, and the fact that you have to go when a class is in session. They have class packages you can buy, and even a membership level that rounds out to about $15/class, so that's not bad if you can manage to go once a week. I would definitely recommend giving it a try, no matter what your level of fitness! (the first class is free!)

The front desk staff and coach were both very friendly and welcoming. The layout of this studio is pretty nice in terms of space and is located in a plaza that has a decent size parking lot.

First I'd like to note the photos uploaded by the business owner are in fact not what this location…read morelooks like, so starting off a bit misleading. From the outside this location looks huge, like it could be 2 stories. While driving by to attend an event nearby I decided to stop in just to check it out. They have a large parking lot which is super convenient in this area. When we walked in, it seemed like they were having a staff meeting right up front as there were 4-5 employees up at the desk. I told them I was a black card member but just wanted a tour of the location. Half of the staff were like okay, we can do that but one insisted I check in. I had to scan my card about 3 times before it took, not sure what the issue was. 2 staff offered to give the tour - they were nice but as I said before I'm already a PF member and have been on/off for over 10yrs at various locations (as I move around a bit). I generally like the updated newer PF locations w/ the newer machines, the ones that count your reps & even the steppers and they don't have the 30 min workout separated areas but it's kind of mixed in with the other machines. This location has less cardio machines and a lot more weight training. The Spa area is nice. The staff weren't really educated much on the equipment but again it's kind of the same at every location so I already knew. This location is nice, but a bit more cramped feeling than others which makes it feel smaller inside.

Today I called in asking to speak with a manager and the person who answered the phone posed as the…read moremanager, I then heard a coworker yell "You're not a manager stop lying.", when I asked to speak with the actual manager the employee hung up on me. I then called back and they allowed the phone to ring multiple times before picking up and hanging up again. When I called back a third time after multiple rings an employee by the name of Shaquita (or that's what she said her name was) answered and said there's no manager and she didn't know when one would be available. I asked for the name of the manager multiple times and was finally given the name Rashae only to then be given the name Tarell by the end of the conversation. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL ALL THE WAY AROUND AND ONE OF THE REASON I AM CANCELING MEMBERSHIP AND REFUSING TO RETURN TO THIS LOCATION!!! #badbusiness

Los Campeones - Brooklyn Center: My Take on the New-Age Bodybuilding Mecca of Minnesota…read more As someone who has been actively bodybuilding for over a decade in the Twin Cities, I've spent years searching for a gym that truly checks all the boxes--high-quality equipment, ergonomically smart machines, and an intense, no-frills environment rooted in traditional bodybuilding culture. I've held memberships at multiple gyms--including Anytime Fitness, Lifetime, LA Fitness, Minneapolis Bouldering Project, university gyms, and even Planet Fitness (lmao, only for tanning during show prep)--plus other Los Campeones locations. I also travel to different states to check out new gyms just for fun. I currently hold three active memberships to support my various hobbies and training styles, and I can proudly say: Los Campeones Brooklyn Center is easily one of the nicest gyms I've ever trained at. I'm thankful to have it in my own backyard. This location feels like a culmination of everything they've learned from other gyms--built specifically with serious lifters in mind, especially those in the bodybuilding community. The variety of machines and cable setups allows you to train with precision and purpose. If you know what muscles you want to target, this gym gives you every tool to do it right. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and the staff regularly walk the floor to keep everything in top shape. On the rare chance something is down, it's typically fixed by the next day--that kind of responsiveness is rare and appreciated. There's a posing room, more machines, racks, and cables than you could ask for, and enough space and equipment to support any discipline--aesthetics, strength, mobility, or general fitness. They even offer a designated fridge and area for post-workout meals, which is cleaned weekly (currently Fridays). It's small details like this that show the gym is built with intention and care for the people who train there. I've been a member since the soft opening, and it's been amazing to watch the gym grow based on real community feedback. It's clear the staff and owners genuinely care about building something great for everyone who walks in. Only downside? The parking spots are tight, and it can be a bit of a squeeze getting in and out of your car--but honestly, that's a small price to pay for a gym that delivers so much. Pro tip: Evenings can get busy, but if you go early morning or during off hours, you'll have more than enough space and equipment to yourself. More photos to come, but if you're serious about your training and want a space that matches your intensity, Los Campeones Brooklyn Center is the place. The staff is friendly, and I especially like the bright, well-done lighting. The location also has a posing room and an MMA room, which is a great bonus. At times it can get a little crowded, and you'll often see influencer-type gym goers, which isn't necessarily bad but something to keep in mind. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a gym in the area.
