Immediately was hooked. I ended up getting the 4 classes per month membership and it's plenty to keep me engaged without burning out. Literally, because these classes are insanely hard. Overall facilities are nice, I wish there were showers or even more than just 2 bathrooms because I'd prefer to take a class before heading into the office but do need to get ready. It also gets a little cramped in there sometimes. I get that classes fill up so having the extra machine or two can make a difference, but there are times I feel like I might be holding hands with my neighbor.

And in only 50 minutes you can get a good shake and sweat. I just wish the music wasn't so loud. Feels like I'm in a nightclub and I can't hear what the instructor is saying. I'm usually weary when it comes to places through groupon,…read morebut, Bodiology is definitely a place I would recommend for anyone that wants to start getting into pilates. I've taken several classes in the past, but never had an instructor like Kathy who really starts at the fundamentals. She guides you through every movement and makes you feel very comfortable if you do something incorrectly. She will make sure you do things properly before moving to the next thing. I appreciated it very much. Her studio is very clean and welcoming with all the pilates equipment you would want to work with. Her covid precautions are up above and beyond expectations-I felt very safe. I highly recommend booking with Cathy at Bodiology!

Because of Catherine's attention to my body, she has given me the information and exercises helping me to pay closer attention to my own body. I have experienced Catherine as an ordinary person with extraordinary powers of perception. She almost has x-ray eyes. She demands attention when she is conducting sessions and whether she is working with one student or multiple students, she is watching, observing, correcting, and I feel very safe with her.

Heartwarming. Healing. Restorative. I love the small classes. They max out at 6 students…read more Instructors are all very consistent in how they lead their classes: 1. Nice variety in exercise 2. Great attention to the unique needs of every student 3. Excellent cues and attention to coaching proper form without overwhelming students I feel like I progress in every class bc each instructor also brings their own flavor and vibe getting to know their students and helping them advance. Studio is clean and cheery. Equipment is well maintained. Instructors are extremely caring, knowledgeable, and empathetic. Notes for those considering pilates for the first time. Start with private lessons. Get the basics down. Then switch to a class that consistently has 6 or less students. A good instructor should be very hands on and have the ability to coach all students in their class vs just call out the sequence. pilates is all about proper form and fine tuning of muscles for optimum performance. Too large of a class and you won't get the optimal benefit out of the class bc the instructor won't be able to individually observe and guide you.

I attended the Taylor Swift's Birthday class, having attended other barre classes before I figured…read moreI wouldn't have a difficult time with the class. The coach was energetic and provided adjustments. What I was missing was modifications for some of the moves. Some of them were hard and I wasn't sure on my own how to change the move to still get something out of it, but change it for my skill level. Yes, barre is based off of ballet, but I felt it was a much more prominent feature of this class compared to other studios. The worst part of the class was the music. Instead of playing Taylor Swift's music remixes of Taylor's music was played. It wasn't the same. You'll want to arrive early for your class for a variety of reasons. One of those reasons is to give yourself time to fine the studio. The building is confusing.

Can I give 6 stars? This gym is amazing! The vibe is…read morenon-intimidating, supportive, and fun! The instructors are skilled and hilarious and somehow make doing planks fun. They also make everyone feel welcome. I've only been for Pilates classes but have been to several of them and loved them all. Pilates classes tend to draw a female crowd which can be intimidating but this studio couldn't be further from that. Everyone is welcoming, no one cares what you wear (Lulu who? Wear your favorite t-shirt), and every skill level is accommodated. They have 4 reformer machines so for classical reformer classes, they have 4 spots. I typically go over lunch and book ~5 days out and usually don't have an issue getting a spot. They use the MindBody app and have their own app as well so booking classes is easy! They use a waitlist and most times I've been on the waitlist, I get added to the class. The instructors mix things up and keep it interesting with fun music! I've been to reformer classes elsewhere with soft, soothing music and it nearly put me to sleep. Not here! Expect 80s jams from Jean, Lizzo from Andrea, and the Doobie Brothers (or Beyonce!) from Ruth. They have a Pilates Circuit class that combines the reformer, jump board, tower, chair, mat, TRX, and more. I haven't done the same workout in a Circuit class once. Circuit classes can have 12 (or maybe even 16) people in a class which is super fun and keeps the energy in class moving. The studio has cubbies for your belongings, a bathroom, towels, and a shower. They have a parking lot with maybe 10 spots and tons of parking spots along the street. I haven't had an issue with parking but they are next door to Psycho Suzi's so on a summer Saturday, give yourself extra time to park. Upstairs they have the "Treehouse" where they hold barre, Pilates, and yoga classes. The back wall of the studio is all windows that face the Mississippi. They also have the "Basement" where they have open gym and weight classes. They even have open gym times in the "Treehouse" with the Pilates equipment! Their prices are wonderful! Your first week is free so definitely try that. I did and 6 months later, am still going to classes. Your first month of unlimited classes is $59 which is INSANE for Pilates. Their memberships get you any class - reformer, yoga, kettlebells, whatever! PLUS unlimited access to open gym times. After the intro month, their prices and membership options vary but are still some of the most affordable options I've seen. They have a 12-class-a-month option for $135 which means each class is $11.25 - for reformer classes! I've seen studios charge $35 for one class. They host free outdoor workouts in the park, bike rides, and "Planks & Dranks" events at local bars. If you're looking for great workouts, a supportive workout community, and affordable classes, try a class at NE Fitness. I suggest the Pilates Circuit Class with Andrea to get you started. See you there!
