The person was extremely pushy and then I just heard a voicemail telling us the office wanted to charge $75 if my husband didn't show up on Monday. The moment I called earlier this week and spoke to that Sarah person, it left a very bad feeling but now it solidified that it feels as though there is price gauging going on. When my husband finally called this office back, Sarah casually mentioned his deep cleaning procedure would cost $700+ and if we're fine with that? And then proceeded to rush my husband into agreeing to that appointment because "they already booked for two hours." Then after I said we will not be ready to pay $700+, Sarah said "well then you can do half." What in the world? It sounded beyond shady. The whole interaction was absurd and unprofessional. I may be filing a complaint with BBB because it was very unprofessional the way this was handled. Both my husband and I currently have dental insurance. My husband does need deep cleaning but we were going to a previous office that had him do a regular cleaning more often to have him avoid the need for deep cleaning. This person would not even let me get a word in and in the end I had to tell her "excuse me you need to stop being pushy and let me talk. We are going to cancel that appointment." The dentist was good on previous visits. Also, Lorena is excellent as well. This person just left a terrible taste in our mouth (no pun intended). I hope they're able to find someone that helps patients feel comfortable and confident in the care they're going to receive and pay for instead of feeling pressured and treated like a price tag.

I told them I was fine paying whatever it was, I just needed the number. They said they'd go over it when I came in. On 8/24 I was told fluoride and sealants (which they recommended) weren't covered, was quoted $181, I was okay with that and I paid it right there. I figured that was the whole bill, no additional charges as none were mentioned beyond that. Then about two weeks later I get another bill for $219.20. Nobody called, nothing explaining what it was for, I had to go log into MetLife and figure it out on my own. I asked about cost on the phone, they reviewed coverage not covered, I checked out, paid $181 and at no point did anyone say there might be more coming. Every other dentist I've been to tells you what your out of pocket is before you sit in the chair, and that's the number you pay. It doesn't double two weeks later. And honestly look at what the charges were. $152 for a "Comprehensive Oral Evaluation" where the dentist was in the room maybe two minutes. $220 for x-rays, $144 for a cleaning. Those are premium prices and the office was in the middle of a remodel, dust everywhere, stuff piled in the hallway. Not what you expect for what they're charging. I don't mind paying for good care. I do mind asking about cost and still getting surprised with a bill after the fact. At that point it stops feeling like a mistake and starts feeling like how they do business, and feels deceptive. There are a lot of dentists in Orange that will just tell you the real number up front. Go to one of those.

I'm smiling bigger and better than ever thanks to Dr. Seini!…read more Dental work isn't just about aesthetics. We often say, "It's what's on the inside that counts," and while that's certainly true, the reality is that our smile affects how we feel about ourselves, too. For years, I avoided some social activities because I was missing a premolar, which left a noticeable gap in my smile. Beyond appearance, that missing tooth affected my ability to chew properly. With my history of lupus and gastrointestinal issues, being able to thoroughly chew my food is important for digestion, gut health, and overall wellness. Replacing that tooth with an implant has made a remarkable difference in my life--not only improving my smile, but also enhancing my confidence, emotional well-being, and physical health. I'm incredibly grateful to this wonderful practice and to the kind, talented, and caring Dr. Seini. Thanks to them, I'm truly smiling from the inside out!
