I normally don't preschedule so I see multiple different hair stylists which may or may not be a good thing. I recently prescheduled an appointment and was running late so I gave a call to the salon. The woman on the phone was short and slightly obnoxious in that she was almost happy to tell me I would need to reschedule and still pay 100% for my cancellation. I did not cancel anything and it was a forced cancellation. I even asked if there was a late fee I could pay or reschedule it and only pay 50% for rescheduling fee since I've been a customer for so long but once again, she sounded happy to tell me no. I understand that being late is 100% my fault but I've also had to wait for my stylist for 10-15 mins when arriving on time so they are also not 100% punctual. This left a bitter taste in my mouth and I will unfortunately not be going back anymore.

I paid $160 for damage, silence and not knowing what to do!. I would NEVER go back.

Not only is she a wonderful stylist, she is an amazing person - empathetic, good listener, funny, down to earth. I first came ~4months ago for a haircut repair from a bad cut. It was wonky, and I'd been given a random short layer on only one side. She listened to what I wanted, seeing beyond the bad cut and cleaned it up beautifully...keeping her eye on what it could be once things grew out. I returned today with my daughter - she got her first real cut in a salon. Nicole could not have been more patient!! And she gave our girl just what she wanted. Happy mom, happy daughter!!

The place is located in the Martinez area and thankfully there was lots of parking (as this can be tricky sometimes). I was told to text prior to going inside and my total wait time was about 5 minutes. There was one other person getting their hair done at the time so it was pretty. The person that did my hair was alright with her customer service but wasn't at all too friendly, which sort of sucks but it is what it is. My hair looked fine and the price was a bit higher than usual but all in all, I won't be back here.

She has been doing hair for over 30 years, and it absolutely shows in her skill, professionalism, and the way she genuinely cares about her clients. She takes the time to listen, offers honest advice, and always wants you to leave feeling beautiful and confident. That kind of consistency, dedication, and personal care is hard to find these days. So many of her clients have stayed with her for years for a reason. One thing I really admire is the reputation she has built over decades through hard work, loyalty, and the relationships she's created with her clients. In a world where one harsh review can sometimes speak louder than years of happy customers, it's important to remember that long-standing excellence and trust matter. If you're looking for someone with true experience, a kind heart, and a genuine passion for what she does, Mary is absolutely someone I would recommend.

Definitely DO NOT recommend this place. I was looking for something local and this is down the street from my work so I decided to give them a try. Big mistake, I understand different salons can vary on the time and quality, but 2 hours it's just ridiculous, the shape is terrible. I don't know how they got good reviews. The place is dirty and crowded, If it wasn't because I had somewhere to be that night I would have walked away. I don't like writing bad reviews but she was rude and told me she was tired, so why take my appointment? It's not fair to me, I'm paying full price for the service. I told her to please fix the shape I even asked her do you agree that they are different shape she said yes but only fixed my thumb because it's was so bad.
