After waiting a significant time on hold when she answered she was immediately rude and condescending. I had questions about what type of appointment my needs would be and she scoffed at my lack of understanding. She then told me I would need to find my birth control records from over 10 years ago to even schedule an appointment. I asked why and she told me her providers are so booked in advance I should just try somewhere else and hung up. I'm sure the providers here are lovely but you seriously need a new receptionist. She's the first person people speak to so she's the face of your company and it's not a nice face.

With that being said, I called to schedule an appointment for her after being seen in the ER for a severe prolapsed uterus, and was told we can't schedule an appointment until the records are received and reviewed from the ER. Excuse me??? Then, the receptionist said it will likely still be February before she could be seen. No sense of urgency. No empathy. No let me take a message and have a nurse call you back to see if she needs to be seen/worked in.

I am extremely thankful for the wonderful group of ladies I have interacted with during these last…read moretwo pregnancies. I have lived in several states, had many doctors, and none have treated me as a person in comparison to these ladies. Anywhere else, you feel as though you are just a number on a checklist of things to do. Trish from the Shawnee location always shows much love every single time I have an appointment. I could chat with her all day as I feel as though I have known her forever. I can see that she legitimately has a heart for her job and cares about the patients that come in and out. I started seeing Crystal Murphy with my last pregnancy. She always made me laugh, spent adequate time with me to make sure everything was covered and I was comfortable. I also could never thank her enough for the loving hug and kindness she extended the day I found out via ultrasound that I miscarried. Fast forward to a year later, and another pregnancy, I was so excited to be seeing her again, unfortunately my schedule with work did not allow for that to happen. I had to see a new midwife. I was so nervous, for I loved seeing Crystal! In walks Lindsey Hill. Her greeting and interest in my family melted me right away. She spent a good 45 minutes getting to know me, and opening up herself to let me get to know her. She is straight to the point, no beating around any bushes, to the point where your laughing so hard you might pee yourself! She cracks me up talking about wanting to be a Barista, which is funny to me since I am one. I could see her now. Might have to have her come in one day! I get so excited for my appointments with her, because I can't wait to see how she is doing. Today I met Amy Mendus for the first time. This lady is as cute as a button. She also spent a great amount of time trying to get to know me, and hear any concerns I have with the stubborn little guy in my tummy. She was very informative and comforting! I can't wait to get to know her more! I've had amazing encounters with the nurses as well! They are super friendly and can actually draw your blood where it doesn't feel like your arm is going to snap in half! I seriously love all these ladies!! I really hope to get to know them all more over the years!

They tell you on the phone when you schedule and also have you sign a legally binding contract to let you know they will nickel and dime you for every darn thing you unfortunately had scheduled for your nether-regions in the first place. But these people can call you 15 minutes before your appointment, you know, the one you're literally almost at, the one you found someone to watch your kids for to only have them call and say that the OB is tied up in a birth. I'm sorry, was the practice unaware an hour prior when I was sent check in paperwork, or how about 30 mins prior when the doctor was obviously still not there and ready!?! 15 friggen minutes. Be better if you expect your patients to do the same. My time is just as valuable as yours.

She was - and continues to be - nothing short of amazing. Empathic, kind, clearly well-educated, with a courteous and committed staff - every appointment there is something I have great experiences with. In fact, after my first appointment with Dr. Wittek, I literally sat in the parking lot in my car and called 4 or 5 of my close girlfriends and told them they instantly needed to change OB/GYNs and go see Dr. Wittek. Every one of them did, and every one of them has had an experience similar to mine - they LOVE her. Dr. Wittek, like me, is a mom and has young children. She knows the challenges motherhood presents and understands well the concerns that all of us have. I have found her to be nothing short of magnificent and can't recommend her highly enough. She is an incredible physician, and a great caregiver, and a delightful person - in every sense.

I find this out AFTER I'm in need. NO WARNING. Oh, and the post card they send to remind you of appointments so this doesn't happen. Dr. Schlicter delivered my first baby but retired right after. Since then I had Dr. Proffitt and Dr. Moulton for prenatal care and from a women's health perspective they were both intelligent, caring and passionate providers. Dr. Proffitt delivered my second son and I would absolutely trust him to do it again. I think he ran from his office to the hospital ; - ) There are times when the doctors are called out to the adjacent hospital ( Overland Park Regional) and the other providers have to fill in - when that happens scheduling does a great job of alerting you so that you can reschedule or see another provider. I will be finding a new practice…read more I was referred here for help with fertility issues and needed an HSG. The referral location repeatedly said they never received the referral, and I had to call four separate times to get it resent. After nine months of trying, I finally got the HSG done elsewhere. Since then, I have been rescheduled five times for a PCT test. Every cancellation has been the day of or the day before, despite the test requiring strict timing and time off work. I even arranged with my employer to adjust my schedule for a last-minute change, and that appointment was also canceled. This level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially for patients dealing with time-sensitive fertility testing. It is clear this practice cannot reliably manage appointments or support patients through an already stressful process. I will be seeking care elsewhere and would caution others to be aware of these repeated issues.
