Dr. Greenwald has been my neurologist for 20 years. When I first started visiting him we both had hair now neither of us has much left. Dr. Greenwald is professional and very knowledgeable. I've never had a visit with him where I felt rushed, hurried or anything less than cared for as a patient and as a person. It's really a shame that every doctor is not like him in manner. Dr. Greenwald has always been "on the money" between being authoritative, practical and honest all in one and I much appreciate that. He will talk with me in as deep and technical language as I can follow or as simple as I would like. He is careful to be sure I understand. He has never been dismissive or condescending. He also has a great sense of humor. In a recent visit he was trying to remember the name of a place I was asking him about and he said "I think I need a neurologist". If you need a neurologist, I really don't think you could do better than Dr. G. Lastly, another reviewer commented how they had to wait for an hour. I've never had to wait more than about 15 minutes for my appointments with him, so it may have been an anomaly.

His office is responsive, efficient, and easy to work with, and I can access appointment summaries, prescriptions, and invoices through a secure online portal. The difference between his care and that of big providers is night and day. If you want a neurologist who combines medical expertise with compassion and insight, Dr. Ostashko is outstanding.

During the office exam he asked me many leading questions but I never felt like he listened to my answers. He seemed to want to convince me that I was stressed out. He also seemed to want to convince me that I have a very healthy brain based on a recent MRI and that he could find nothing physically wrong with me. He told me my issues were likely due to something called Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). He referred me to Stanford's website where I found out that this is the newest name for what was historically called Hysteria in women, AKA Conversion Disorder. I went to another neurologist and as it turns out, I have a very serious and physical neurological disease, one that requires medication and medical attention.

And also might have been having absence seizures (?) She spent a long time interviewing me, longer than the 15 minutes that the appointment was supposed to last. She took a complete history, asking thoughtful questions. She was sensitive and considerate of my other medical conditions. She did an extensive physical examination. She told me to get an EEG, and after I had that done I went back to see her again, at which point she made recommendations as to how I could solve the problem. I saw her a few times, but now I won't be going back anymore because, thanks to her, my pseudoparkinsonism is all gone.

As a patient, I wanted to be seen in person. Well I scheduled a second visit. After being made to wait for over 35 minutes, I was made to see a physician assistant. The third visit was again a video call. The fourth visit, was made to wait and then told that he is in surgery and another physician assistant would see me. Frustrated I left. I called to explain my frustrations, and was offered another video visit. I understand video visits maybe effective for colds etc, but when a patient is in severe pain, and wishes to see a doctor in person, and we are paying for the visit, not sure why those wishes cannot be respected. Making patients wait and not respecting their time is unacceptable. We take time off work to come in for these scheduled visits. Extremely disappointed that I never actually got to be treated as a patient should have been.

She was awesome. Great bed side manner, friendly, ran all the tests. So detailed and asked tons of questions and walked me thru her thought process. She called in for all the various MRI and tests she thought would be important. Don't think you should go to ER's every often but highly recommend her. Thank you
