I recently had to pay a visit to the Emergency Department at El Camino. I have been to this ER many…read moretimes as well as being a patient in the main hospital for surgeries and the recovery that follows. I have always experienced excellent care here. I have an auto immune disease that sometimes causes my inflammatory markers to skyrocket and this will cause me so much pain, beyond what I can control at home. That's exactly what happened last week. I knew I was in trouble and needed to get to the ER fast. My husband got us there quickly and I checked in. I was taken to the triage area for my vitals. Luckily I'm in their system. And most of my Doctors are connected with El Camino because they are a part of Sutter Health. So the hospital knows my health history. The waiting area was packed with sick people. I'm thinking, this is going to be a long and painful wait. I was called back to see the Dr. within a few minutes, which was surprisingly quick. They got me a wheelchair and took me back. All of my joints were hurting so bad that it hurt to walk. I explained everything to Dr. Tsai. I appreciated that he listened to me and took the time to ask important questions. I told him I was supposed to get labs done tomorrow for my metabolic panel because I wasn't feeling well and I told him that the way I was feeling probably meant my inflammatory markers, ESR and C-reactive protein were probably very high. He told me he would order all those tests immediately and start me off with pain pills first and then progress to stronger IV meds if the pills didn't work. I also mentioned to him that the new medication that I have been taking for this problem has not been working very well and my rheumatologist was trying to get prior authorization to increase the dose of that new medication. That's why my pain had gotten out of hand. I was sent back to the waiting area, again, to wait to get my labs done. I was again called back within a few minutes. I was taken back for the bloodwork. Then taken to a private patient room, where I could lay down in a bed and get my IV started. I met the nurses that would be taking care of me. I let them know that it's hard finding my veins. I appreciated that the nurse believed me and got a vein finder to help with finding a vein. She was able to find one that was deeper, in my arm, but it was a good vein. She got the IV started. Her patience with getting my IV started was awesome. A lot of times nurses don't believe me when I tell them I'm a hard stick. She was wonderful and did an amazing job with my IV. Since the pills didn't work for my pain, we moved on to stronger IV pain medication. I was also felling nauseated from the pain. They didn't hesitate to give me nausea medication, right away. As it turned out, my inflammatory markers were extraordinarily high. They gave me the best pain management over the next several hours and didn't discharge me until my pain was under control and I was more relaxed and calm. Pain like that is horrible. I want to give a huge thank you to Dr. Tsai and nurses for listening to me and my pain concerns and doing everything they could to stabilize me. I have followed up with my doctors and am on a new medication regimen to help with the inflammation. I am finally feeling better. The medical team here, treated me with respect and dignity. Everyone was very professional and kind. I am grateful to the medical team that took care of me that day. Thank you to Dr. Tsai and the nurses that all worked collaboratively, to get me feeling better.

Finally getting around to my most meaningful review. This review is a little different than usual…read moresince it involves a more personal experience. When you think of life events you couldn't imagining going through, you one day find yourself in the NICU. The staff at Santa Clara NICU couldn't have done a better job at easing all our fears for our 30 week baby boy 2lb 15oz at his smallest. From delivery till the end of the 2 months he spent in the NICU every procedure and every aspect of his day was explained in detail. Parents are included in all aspects of care and there is an expectation to spend as much time as possible with your baby. A lot of the normal preemie issues will be explained by nurses and doctors with opportunities to ask questions if you have any. Bradycardia and Apnea events may be common for your baby. It's all part of the journey. Dstats that require stimulation may also happen. Staff at the NICU were always there to help so don't be afraid if these events occur. All the equipment that your baby may require will be explained in detail. You can see your baby's growth progress daily since they are weighed every night. Breastfeeding/pumping is encouraged as that is the best for baby. You will receive labels for all the milk you store at the NICU and it's administered like medicine based on your little one's needs. The nurses will fill you in daily on what has happened since you last saw your baby. You will also get a call from the Doctor daily to give you any updates. You can also call 24/7 to get updates on your baby. The protocols for entering the NICU are very comforting. All parents must check in through a secure door and protocol for washing hands is posted at multiple areas. Cell phones are also included in your sanitizing routine and you must seal your phone in provided bags. No more than 2 people can see your baby and a parent must be present. No children are allowed during flu season. To future parents reading this review, things will get better. The staff at Santa Clara Kaiser NICU will ensure that your baby is ready to go home before discharging them to you. I would of never thought of spending Christmas eve, Christmas Day, and New Years in the NICU but I would change nothing. The NICU taught me a different level of appreciation for those who help others. I'll always be thankful for those who took care of my boy for 2 months day and night. If somehow you find yourself in this situation hopefully you're at peace knowing this is the best place they could be in the South Bay.

I came here for a medical procedure…read more The staff here was nice and professional. Very attentive to my needs. I was always in good hands. Kaiser Permanente should be proud of their staff. I mean all of them. Everyone I came into contact with had a great attitude and a beautiful smile. They were happy to be at this Kaiser. Shout out to Dr. Liu, RN Marcia, PA, Nurse Anesthesia Tracy, Rick who had the pleasure of shaving a brotha and the rest of the operating staff. Sorry but the anesthesia kind of made me Forget your names. Oh wait I didn't forget about Dora who forgot to mention a certain part of the procedure (she might might have told me). The part where they stick something in my noise while I was awake. I have a bone to pick with you lady. Haha. You made me comfortable when you explained the procedure to me. I thank you for this. I loved the 80's music played while they prepped. Made me feel super comfortable and in good hands. Calming for sure. Well the meds helped. Haha Happy New Years everyone at Kaiser.

Called and informed them 20 min late. 2. Front desk at El Camino Health Pediatrician at 555 Knowles turned us away. Explained my daughter had cough and wanted to check for asthma symptoms. Front desk lacked empathy and turned us away. We were late due to traffic but wow no options given. 3. Took my daughter to Good Sam ER. Physician Dr. Dapar MD (5 Stars). Nurse Practitioner K. Greene PA (5 Stars). The X-Ray tech from Santa Cruz (5 Stars). All had conversations with my daughter because as she told me "it was a scary experience for her." They made her feel comfortable. The mobile X-ray was efficient, the radiologist's diagnosis was swift. My daughter was also born at this hospital. What an epic experience. Major kudos to the team at Good Sam. Live long and prosper folks!

I was absolutely floored at the efficiency (I've been to ERs where the wait is hours). To be fair, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon so maybe things were a bit slower? All of the staff were very friendly, kind, and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure we were cared for and received proper care. So why the one star off? Our son's splint was put on a little too tight which involved some discomfort and required us to go back a second time to have it readjusted. That situation wasn't ideal but thepediatric staff member met us at the entrance to immediately escort us in for re-treatment. I totally understand these things happen. If we ever need emergency services in the future, this is the place we'd go.

I've been with Stanford Hospital for years. My wife's cancer treatment was here my surgery recently was just performed here my son was born in the children's hospital. I don't have to go here but I'm glad we did. We have world class specialist. My wife's cancer was so rare there were only three machines at the time in the world. Two in China and one at Stanford. Yes we've had multiple issues with Billing, staff, procedures and overall stupidity from some medical stuff. But I still would rather go here than the other hospitals.

She had no idea what she was doing. She cut into my toe at a ridiculous amount and looked at me like she was performing a major surgery. And was like have you had this before , omg, all she needed to do was send me home soak my foot and Epsom salt and baking soda for two days pull back the SKIN get that infection out, expose the nail and slightly trim it. My podiatrist could not even believe that the woman used the scissor that she used two years later my nail has fallen off. It is giving me nothing but problems since that point I had had a broken toe so it made me walk weird and it affected that toe. Hilarious I can only laugh because it was just such one of the most horrific diagnosis ever, it was April 17ish 20 24 third week of April one of the most unnecessary procedures I ever had... my podiatrist at PAMF predicted that she must've almost used like a regular scissor on my little toe, which is now destroyed I remember a nail salon worked on it in grown and they did it with such an ease.

From induction to delivery and postpartum care, the nurses and staff were incredibly attentive, supportive, and kind. Giving birth is not easy, but I felt genuinely cared for by the Labor & Delivery team and the lactation consultants at Sequoia Hospital. Every nurse and lactation consultant I met was amazing. I especially want to thank the nurses who supported me during delivery and postpartum recovery -- they not only provided excellent care, but also made my stay exceptionally memorable. I wish I could remember everyone's names! (Room 3348 from 4/23/26-4/25/26 and Room 3118 from 4/25/26-4/27/26.) The rooms and hallways were always very clean. The postpartum bed for new moms was surprisingly comfortable, and the guest beds in both the delivery and postpartum rooms were comfortable as well -- my husband had no complaints! They even provided pillows and linens for guests if needed. The hospital also provides three meals a day for moms, and the food tasted much better than I expected. My husband and I were especially grateful for the mini kitchen -- apple juice and soup broth were basically the only things I could tolerate after getting the epidural. My blood vessel was damaged, nerve was punched and arterial light blood was taken. Believe it or not, technician few times dropped things on the floor and picked it up with no changing gloves after. I now live in another part of california so i opted in for a virtual visit. (i have been in the ER 6 times this past year). I unexpectedly got called into work to take a trip to chicago. I wanted the appointment changed due to me working 24/7 while on these work trips, but if they absolutely could not change it, then i would take it from chicago, not an issue. The lady starts yelling at me over the phone telling me the call is recorded and that I am not allowed to take the call from chicago (while i reside in ca). I thought this was really unprofessional. She told me next availability is 4 months from today. She also told me they TRACK WHERE I AM DURING THESE VIDEO VISITS. I thought this was so inappropriate. Isn't this a VIOLATION of my privacy??? She then transferred me to my doctors office. My doctor told me she can see me on Thursday with no issues while I take the call before my work trip.

Jennifer is super kind, friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. When I had my newborn, I'd come to her weekly support group to get tips of latching, feeding, and all other baby related questions. You're able to do weighed feeds (weighing baby before and after breastfeeding) to see how much they took in. Jennifer also can help assess latch, and many moms book lactation consultant appointments with her to get 1:1 help. It was also really nice meeting new moms who had babies similar in age to mine. I was able to find my mom group through here, and now we meet up to do walks and park hangs. It's really nice that this group is offered to the community and I've found it extremely valuable for my mental health to be connected through this group. Why is it that his medical record has not been updated for more than a decade? Even in third world countries, the health care providers are the ones updating the patient records - no one expects the patients to maintain health records. I mean, sure if the patients transfers from another institution, but my dad has been with them for more than 10 years. This is ridiculous. I always have to add that the individual doctors are mostly fine, but the way they organize things is shameful for the Bay Area.

We don't go to hospital to enjoy ourselves unfortunately most of the time you or someone you know is not in good shape. You need to learn that setting needs a lot of comforting, caring, patient and helpful. The hospital it self is not very clean. The air vents are dirty needs to be cleaned. The floors need to be mopped. I will take some pictures for example. Please be more compassionate and understanding. Clean the place up and teach all employees to be more courteous and helpful even when someone calls and they sound loud. It's ok and understand their situation. Keep your patients clean after they go bathroom. Don't leave them for 20-30 minutes dirty. Don't know what else to say because I am angry and will start cursing.
