We need a new refrigerator. After going to a few local places in our hometown area with no luck. My husband looked up Amundsons in Eauclair. The service man was very friendly. Also the delivery guys where excellent! What a wonderful and friendly team! The one guy was making jokes , talking about his children and even was very friendly to my little one. He was very kind! The older gentleman was also very respectful and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend Amundsons! We will be returning coustmers read more

I purchased all the appliances for our new house from Amundson's. That was a mistake. We have had a number of issues following installation, and it just seems to be getting worse. Now they aren't returning my calls. Apparently they are not staffed enough to service what they sell in a timely manner. Three weeks without my dishwasher, for the second time in three months, is too much. I'm probably going to throw in the towel and buy what I want from another retailer with a strong reputation for good service. read more

While others give this place a bad review, I've never had any issues with them . We've bought all our appliances for them

This is a business to avoid at all costs. They do not stand behind what they sell and would rather keep calling different repairmen until they get one that agrees with what they think would get them more money. Wish we would have read the reviews before we bought our defective LG electric range. read more

I purposely purchased a new refrigerator from Amundsons Appliance Center in Rice Lake, Wi. The first refrigerator stopped working unless than a week. They replaced it with another one. In the process of bringing the refrigerator inside my home, they damaged a wall. I lost close to $300 in groceries( Amundsons paid $50). The refrigerator doesn't freeze ice cream, but the refrigerator froze 5 live lobsters to death. It's been 6 months. The freezer continues to drip water into the refrigerator to the point of having to wipe everything every day. Amundsons says, 'We can't service you'. I said it's still under warranty. They only say, 'We can't service you'. I called the manufacturer (Midea) and they hung up on me. Amundsons repeated, 'we can't service you' SEVEN TIMES. No explanation! I purposely bought from a local small business, and this is how they treat people. There are MANY other customers who experienced the same rude treatment. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I am purchasing a new refrigerator from Menards. Oh, and they record your phone calls. They antagonize the hell out of you so they get your response on tape. That's their excuse for ' we can't service you'. And they outright lie. So if you deal with them, make sure you have proof. read more

Bought a high end washer and dryer in May. Dry part broke 2 weeks in and still waiting for replacement. They can be sappy with their apologies but can't come thru on service. Excuses, excuses! Stay away. Buyer beware! read more

We have been long-time customers of Amundon's and were happy with the appliances and service for the most part. We purchased a range hood through them about a year ago. The salesperson (a long time employee or manager) was very helpful on the sales floor. After ordering the hood, the whole picture changed. Never heard a word from him. Stopped in the store and he was pretty much unresponsive to our questions. Took well over a month to get it in, when we could have gotten it for the same price online and had it in 3 - 4 days. Then, he never followed up on a part I needed for a different appliance we had bought from them previously. Still haven't heard back on that one! They've lost a customer and associated referals forever! read more

I ordered a new washing machine from Amundson's. When I received the order confirmation it listed shipping and handling cost as $0.00, however when the machine was delivered, I was charged $60.00 for shipping, $9.00 for package removal and $22.00 for a hose that I hadn't ordered. When I called to ask about the additional charges, the sales associate said "I'm pretty sure I told you about the charges"... he did not! He said this is not the first time he's heard a "comment" about the confirmation saying shipping and delivery charges are zero and then charging the customers, maybe they need to change their documentation or be boycotted? read more

Excellent appliances and great local service. I have bought both washer and dryer from them and had them out for service calls. Wait time on service was comparable to other repair shops. My appliances have worked well and it is great to have personal local connection vs. big box stores. I will be purchasing from them again! read more

We have been a customer of Amundson's since 2017. We bought all our appliances there and purchased their extended warranty. The sales people at the Rice Lake store were very helpful and, until today, they honored the warranty when we had problems. When our microwave door broke, instead of fixing it they gave us in-store credit towards a new one. Then they tried to charge us for installation, even though installation has been covered in the past. We asked them to reduce the installation charge, but they refused. After 5 years of buying our appliances here, they have lost a customer. read more

I purchased a new refrigerator at the end of April in Hayward with the idea of supporting "buy local"...I had to change my order and ended up ordering a less expensive refrigerator but never received the credit for the difference. When the new refrigerator I ordered didn't fit my space, they immediately took it back and our salesperson tried to find a different model - however, I wasn't willing to wait another two months for a refrigerator so we agreed I would get a refund, less a re-stocking fee of 3%. Three weeks later I still had not received my credit on my credit card and when I asked again about this I was given a store credit. Why did my refund change to a store credit and since I just purchased a new refrigerator elsewhere that was delivered within 7 days (vs 60 days from Amundsons) AND a new stove from Amundsons why would I want store credit? What other appliance do I need to buy in the next few years? NONE. The "Buy Now IN STOCK" button on their website is misleading -- rarely is anything in stock and they are too short staffed to get anything delivered in a timely manner. BEWARE. read more

We love to support local businesses, and I NEVER post negative reviews (who wants that energy?!) but this was an awful experience. Waited for over a month for a dishwasher to be installed, and finally after many headaches and awfully rude customer service, we threw in the towel and we cancelled the sale and will end up going to a big box store. Customer service is so important! I will let friends and family know my opinion if they are in the market for appliances in the future. read more

They ruined my house. The technician installing my new dishwasher did not turn the water off, flooding my house and ruining my wood floors and brand new kitchen! The control panel on the new dishwasher is dented; they promised to ordered a new one in october, almost 6 months later and nothing has been done about this. Additionally, the technician dropped my existing dishwasher down 3 steps onto concrete. Amundson's was supposed to fix it. After 6 months, most items have not been resolved and my house is still under construction as we had to replace the floors. read more

I will NEVER go back. We have purchased 4 appliances from them. The kitchenaid dishwasher no longer works, the Amana stove one of the burners no longer work. When I called to see about repair I was told over $100.00 just to come out to look at it. I live in town. this is terrible. The appliances lasted less the 10 years. The lady I spoke with was rude and terrible to deal with. Will be telling EVERYONE i know to stay away. Quality is terrible!!! I only gave one star because yelp made me to post my review. I now have to go buy a new set of appliances else where for sure!!! read more

Unfortunately, I have very little positive to say about this company. When we built our home we decided to go with a locally owned company, rather than a big box store, believing we would get better quality and service. We bought all of our kitchen appliances (Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher) and our Washer and Dryer from this company. In two years, we have had issues with four of the six appliances, and multiple problems with two appliances. We dealt with the initial problems with little help from Amundson's, even though it was within a year of purchase. They supplied a part at no cost, but my husband had to fix it. Recently, our washing machine became the latest casualty, and I had had enough. I called the owner, Paul, and explained in detail the problems we'd encountered, and our frustration as a result. He told me we could have someone from their service department come out and assess the problems, but as I clarified, we would be paying full price for that service. I expressed disappointment in that, given that we had had multiple problems, and were currently experiencing issues with two separate appliances. I told Paul that I felt we would have been better off buying from Menards, as I believe they generally stand behind what they sell. Paul then said he would pull up our paperwork and see what we had purchased and if there was anything he could do. I specifically asked him if he would let me know what he found out, and he assured me he would. That was at least two weeks ago, and I have heard nothing. I find the lack of any response to be very unprofessional, and the quality of what I was sold appalling. Please avoid making the mistakes we made in trusting this local company. You are out of luck once they have completed the sale. (And for anyone wondering, we did not purchase extended warranties because we have been burned by those in the past. We understand after a period of time, things happen and need repairs. We NEVER would have thought within two years of purchase we would have experienced this level of product failure.) read more
