For several years we have bought all our major appliances and electronics at the Eau Claire Best Buy because we have found the prices competitive, the staff very helpful, and delivery accommodating. We had great service again this week when we decided to switch to an induction stove. Tom Moulder was very helpful in going over our list of preferences and cost comparisons, as he has done in the past with other purchases. He is always patient with us and our many questions. We did change our mind based on his recommendations, plus he showed us how we could lower the cost shown we expected from our research on line. read more

I recently purchased two kitchen appliances from the Eau Claire store. Sales staff was fine and the installation crew was exceptional. The issue is with the delivery and the general manager. On both appliances the original delivery date was a waste of time and effort. In both cases they failed to show on the date, after numerous phone/ text messages. The last message was sent to me at 8:35 pm, telling me they would arrive in 10 minutes. On both occasions they did arrive on the second delivery day. When I personally visited the Eau Claire store to speak with the general manager, first time she did not return my requested call. The second time I went to the store she made it very clear this was not her problem. Never even asking my name or contact information. Kept telling me.i.had to deal with their delivery contractor. I did not give my money to the contractor I gave it to Best Buy. Im done, no more purchases from Best Buy for me. read more

Love this Best Buy location the employees are very friendly and helpful, they definitely has a large and nice selection of electronic and appliances but I love the order online pickup option even though this location can be real busy especially on weekends, there is plenty of parking in this area and my overall shopping experience was great. read more

I bought myself the remote start for my birthday. I live in St. Paul, MN but Eau Claire was the closest store where I was able to make an appointment for installation quickly, The Cities were booked 6 weeks out. It took me a few minutes to be seen (the previous appointment took a little longer) but I was greeted and was given communication that they will get to me shortly. All in all, good experience. My 2.5 hour instal only took 1.25 hrs so I was able to get home sooner than expected. read more

I want to give a positive shout out to the Geek squad in Eau Claire. Both Breven and Ophelia were extremely helpful in aiding me to transfer data from our old MacBook to our new MacBook. I'm going to give this a store a 4. Which may be generous. We've been coming to this exact Best Buy for about 6 years. Computers, phones , cameras , and other kinds of things . Today it was a gaming console. Every interaction has been for the most positive. Today was no different. And we can be honest here, I would think most of would expect based on priori experience and the store being a "big box" the service to be poor. That has not been what I've experienced. I've been helped by a series of cheerful and courteous employees in every area of the store over time. Tonight I rolled in around six o'clock within the intent of buying a Nintendo Switch. The parking was ample as it was a weekday. I was greeted upon entry by the kid who runs security . Mask signs . I never saw anyone without a mask. Found the department, Browsed a bit . Was greeted by a young man to see if I needed help. Told him, he got it. Answered the couple of easy questions and I was good to go. He rang me up right there in the back of the store which was nice . Tried to seek me the extended warranty. No thank you. Made small talk. Bagged by items as requested and thanked me for coming in. As I left I was thanked by the security person. Fine. All good. No issues. Let's be realistic, it's never going to have high end service as that's not what this store is about. But it should and does have a staff that is engaged and customer focused, and my new toy is lots of funZ. read more

Prices are somewhat high. You could likely find them cheaper online, but Best Buy seems to be getting better at staying competitive and having a vast array of products to choose from. I would have given them 3-4 stars, but there is no Facebook Page for Geek Squad (Eau Claire), so I'm going to post my review of Geek Squad below (which is a one star, absolute worst computer repair company around): I brought my computer in that was having issues restarting itself randomly (which I bought from Best Buy and had help getting it set up by Geek Squad). $70 to look at it. After looking at it for a day, they find no issue, tell me it seems to be working fine and to come get it. When I arrive, an associate hooks it up to a monitor, gets just a black screen. Says the motherboard might be dead and they have to ship it in, $200. I tell him to get a manager, as I just got a call that it was working fine. After arguing with the manager, they decide to look at it, since they broke it. 2 days later, it turns out that they just had it hooked up to the wrong monitor setting. If I hadn't argued with them, they would have charged me $200 for their incompetence. The issue with the computer randomly restarting still continues. $70 and 3 days for nothing. Use a different service, they are the worst computer repair company you can go to. It's sad to see Best Buy's reputation hurt by this subsidiary company they bought. They should cut the losses of it while they still can. read more

Prices, they'll price match. Customer Service, the norm of society today. Why I pick them over others on high priced items... the warranty Best Buy offers is inexpensive & gives peace of mind, they prove match, they deliver for free in a 50 mile radius. The employee's are assigned a certain department, so they can give insight in the product. Last, get an awesome deal by getting an open box item, but there inexpensive warranty & your set. Free service out to your home for anything that goes ary for 3-5 yrs. read more

Came into the store a week and a half ago to buy a new washing machine, as ours just broke. Initially they told me it could be delivered and installed a little over a week from that day. Then, they canceled that delivery with no explanation and rescheduled for two days later (a Sunday), according to the rep in the store. Then, I received a call asking me to schedule an appointment (from someone outside the US, of course), with the earliest day being a week and a half away from that Sunday on which the rep had scheduled it - so now we're about 3.5 weeks away from the day of purchase and I still don't have a working washing machine. They accused me of lying about the rescheduling that was slated for a Sunday as they don't do deliveries on Sundays, but I even had it written down by the rep in the store. At this point, I've told them if it can't be delivered earlier than planned, I'll buy a washing machine somewhere else if they'll simply deliver it on time. I've already rearranged my schedule to accommodate their cancelations and can't do it again. Unbelievably bad service. read more

What's the matter with these businesses today? Don't the owners read these reviews and are they so sure that the reviewers are wrong and that they are always right that they would rather go OUT of business than check out the problem and find a solution? I'm reading the reviews on Best Buy in Eau Claire and was going to call them to order something but, after reading the reviews, I will go elsewhere. How many others are doing the same thing? Wake up America, it's your own fault. There are too many businesses closing and most of it is do to piss poor service and people who don't know what they're talking about. Would not buy as much as a paper clip from Best Buy. A warranty from them is only good if nothing breaks. Stay away!!

I've bought computers, major appliances, games, music, movies, game systems, cameras, TV's, etc... So I have been to most departments. They are always helpful and knowledgeable. I've had smooth transactions on price adjustments (for item becoming cheaper and a local competitors price), financing, site to store and deliveries. Never had a pushy sales person and they match there online product prices (check them) I have on my smart phone when buying ipods and the sales person informed me that the TV I was interested in was less expensive online and adjusted the price. I think the only thing I would rate as neutral is checking out, due to signing the electronic pad multiple times on some transactions and tapping the selections presented. read more

After a disappointing trip to cricket, we came to Best Buy to buy a new phone. We were impressed with Shelby & her knowledge of the universal unlocked phones. She was able to speak to the specs & pro's & cons of the different phones. She helped to successfully set up my new phone with cricket service & transfer my contacts, texts & photos. She also walked me through functions of the phone & pointed out the difference of the charger cord. She provided exceptional customer service! read more

Glad to know they lock the front doors 15 minutes early after i drive 45 minutes prior to asking on the phone their hours for today. I wasn't there to browse I had cash and knew exactly what I wanted and it's location in the store a new kindle fire hdx 8.9" screen for around $400. read more

During the last 30 years I've thoroughly enjoyed shopping at my local Best Buy. Today was the exception. There is an employee, Nick, and though I've not had to deal with him personally, I have witnessed during past visits his condescending, arrogant, and boorish attitude towards his coworkers and customers. Today I needed a screen protector replaced and while I intentionally avoided Nick it seemed that he was the only representative that was capable of installing the item I'd chosen. With great reluctance I had him proceed with the installation. When he'd finished he simply handed me my purchase and turned and walked away without a word. I was a little stunned that he was so rude and nearly forgotten that I had additional questions regarding the installation. I was assisted by two other very knowledgable representatives but my angst toward Nick's behavior is not something that I can let go without comment. read more

I go to this Best Buy a lot because it is the only one in this area. I would say about 1/3rd of the time the item I want is out of stock and it takes forever for them to get more in, which makes it a waste of my time and fuel. Very frustrating. Also a lot of items a store of this type should have, they don't stock, for example Google Play cards etc... read more

Best Buy has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. First I asked if they sell a filter for a microwave I purchased there and was told 'No, you'll have to buy it at another store.' Later when I needed help contacting a manufacturer about a warranty issue they refused to help even though we had just spent thousands on all new kitchen appliances there. The help is mostly college kids and they simply need a paycheck. They are not the problem. The problem is rooted in the corporate "philosophy" and passed down the chute to those that attempt to manage these stores. Case in point, you purchase a laptop from Best Buy but decline on any additional warranty or their bogus virus protection. You get it home and after just a month WHILE it is still obviously under factory warranty you discover that the sound is not working. Whether that would be hardware or a software issue it is still under the factory warranty. Take it back to "BEST" Buy and they tell you even though it is under factory warranty the only way they can work on it is if you purchase their $200 extension of warranty. Otherwise you will be charged parts and labor. Took it to a computer jock right next door and they fixed the problem (software issue) for $25. I'd rather pay them than the selling retail store that should have handled it for nothing. The only thing missing at "BEST" Buy is the Ferris wheel and the purple gorilla flying above the building. read more
