Once again like the Milwaukee station the day before it was a mad house of people. There was grilled food and a donation drive going on. The holiday train pulled in and a band set up and started playing music. As always this is a total family event with many family's brining children for this family friendly event. Parking is always a mess around these events. I am indifferent to the the Canadian Pacific railroad but I really respect that they run this yearly holiday train at no charge to the community's in Canada and the US so the people who enjoy this kind of event at this time of the year have a cool event to attend with the family.

First of off I want to thank the the great group of guys that I meet on my visit for their…read morefriendliness who take care of this great property. The passion and vision for the property's future is refreshing with future additions, this is already cool but it will only get better with their vision and I can't wait to visit in the future. Yes it's a historic landmark railway station that you can go in and look at how it's been preserved from a place way back in time. The grounds also have a caboose that was converted into a man cave kind of a thing with a living area, kitchen and bathroom, one mans dream/vision. The depot basement is a model train room that is a work in progress with a working layout and running trains around the walls. This is also a great spot to watch trains with 25 to 30 a day that pass by the station with a track speed set at 60 mph. This is a great place for a rail enthusiast to spend some time. I'm honored to add them to yelp and post pictures so everyone can see that's it's more than just an historical landmark building. They also have a 24 hour web cam on YouTube to watch the trains.

Loved this ferry as a kid and it's just as I remember, if not faster. They have it structured…read morereally well and have a quick loading/unloading process. The ride took maybe 5 minutes in all. Only downside is the ice cream stands are only open on the weekends. Could have used a scoop for our ride. Definitely will be back!

Went to take the G bus, westbound, Sunday at around 5:39 pm or so. I had never used the Madison bus…read moresystem before, which I told the bus driver, and was struggling to get the app to work. The driver, some middle-age white man with glasses and beard, was an absolute jerk about the whole thing - telling me "I should have had the app figured out" even though I had *just* told him I hadn't used the Madison bus system before. He even watched me add 2 dollars to the app (so I was clearly going to pay) - then told me it was the wrong one (which I found out later it wasn't) and still wouldn't let me on. I've ridden countless busses in different states and even other countries and haven't had this kind of issue before. I would have understood a simple "sorry, I can't let you on without fare" but this guy was a total *sshole about it. Definitely beware if you need to hop on the G.

I looked at the display again and my bus wasn't on the schedule anymore. Looked online and it was canceled. How can you cancel a bus when it's -15° and there's 4 people relying on it. The next bus showed up 40 mins later. It's RIGHT NEXT TO THE BUS DEPOT!!! Never cancel a bus in dangerous conditions, send a substitute bus. Unacceptable. What are our taxes paying for?
