    After spending time with family in Central Washington it was time to visit relatives in Spokane. I…read morecame in on the Empire Builder which arrived just before midnight. This station lacks red caps but one of the staff assisted me to get myself, my bags and my walker to the front entrance where Mom was waiting. His assistance was much appreciated. Two weeks later it was time to return home. After checking in my baggage I crammed myself into the bench with arms (evidently to discourage the homeless from stretching out). A little late my train to Seattle showed up and I schlepped down the corridor and used the elevator to get the platform. The staff were helpful and in no time I was settled in my seat and on the way. Very bare bones. A vending machine, ticket counter, baggage claim, check baggage and seating. Plain vanilla but adequate. Ticket counter is staffed 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. but there is a quik-trak kiosk that sells tickets 24 hours with a debit/credit card. Downstairs bathrooms close at 10 p.m. but upstairs ones are open past midnight into wee hours.

    The Spokane Intermodel Center is a train/bus station. Trains depart from the 1st floor and busses…read moreare on the 2nd floor. Check before you go as some busses do leave from the 1st floor. The first floor for Amtrak passengers is actually pretty nice and well maintained. The owner of the station needs to invest in upgrading the passenger waiting area on the 2nd floor as those benches are not very good

    Repeatedly unreliable and rude -- avoid…read more I used Special Mobility multiple times and my experience was consistently poor. Their call center reps are rude on the phone, often schedule pickups for the wrong dates and times, and fail to correct the errors. Each time I asked to speak with a manager, tqhe staff became argumentative and insisted I was being rude -- even though I stayed calm and only asked for the service I paid for. I cannot rely on them for timely rides and customer service only makes the situation worse. Not recommended.

Due to their negligence the medical provider refusing to reschedule the appointment due to cancellation on the day of service. after bringing this to the attention of the administration, Many weeks have passed and still nothing has been done and the rudeness has only gotten worse and management has neglected to return my phone calls at my request with This I might add, it is a shame that sick and elderly people have to deal with representatives like this in order to get a ride to a medical appointment. It's almost as if the call center employees are sociopaths that get some sick joy on controling the weak and sick; thriving off ruining everyones day Until upper management makes drastic changes to their call center employees this company is more then likely going to have numerous legal problems in the near future due to their employees. Freedom with their patients, information releasing it to almost anybody!!!
