Four out of the 10 had bikes, so after getting them off the train they either carried them up the area (a good number) or used the elevator. Once you're at street level, you're on the main road in downtown High Point. We didn't step into the station until we were boarding to go back, but the interior is lined with hardwood and they've preserved the old time feel and look with the floors, walls and even the ticket counters. There was no attendant inside when we were there, and you have to get the restroom unlocked. The boarding platform is very long and has benches lining it. Before heading downstairs, take in the view of the skyline.

And this last time no one has been answering the phone since 2:15pm and I've been trying for an hour and a half. I've called them and scheduled trips numerous times in the past few years and they've always picked me up when I've included a 45 minute leeway. This week however they have totally blown it. I've reserved a taxi in advance. One overnight and the other at 8 am ish in the morning for pick-up at 1pm for two different doctors appointments at 2pm. In both cases even after calling them when it was getting late, they still never got a taxi to me. I've had to cancel and reschedule both doctors appointments. I'm just hoping the doctors aren't going to charge me for missing the appointments.

The Union Station was very modern and clean. The only downside was that the deli was closed at 2 pm in the afternoon. The train was on time, staff was very pleasant. The ride was comfortable and quick. Street parking is available on the cross streets surrounding the station and Morgan St Municipal offers Free All Day Parking on weekends.

I wish they put some signs indicating where all people can park. At first when we arrived, there were lots of cars waiting in the parking lot. It would be nice if they put signage which side is Charlotte and which side would be Washington DC.

UNCC is a massive campus with an enrollment of some 30,000 students and it stands on a 1,000 acre campus. The station is at the surface level with a single island platform. There is a crossover just before the station and the trains could be at the stop on either side. There is some cover here but the station is otherwise completely exposed to the elements as are nearly all Blue Line stations. There is an automated ticket vending machine on the platform and you must have a ticket before boarding the train. You can also use the CATS app to purchase online. The next stop southbound is JW Clay Blvd/UNC Charlotte towards I-485/South Boulevard.
