Holiday train review - Absolutely spectacular and warm heartening experience for our 3 and 4 year…read moreold girls! I don't know what other low rating patrons are expecting... fireworks? High class service? Jazz band playing in every train car with speakers interconnected? We came expecting nothing and ended up having an incredible experience with beautiful decorations well suited for a sweet, memorable Christmas train experience. Online reservations were simple, easy to obtain, and a lot more affordable compared to the exorbant Polar Express tickets. We're extremely happy that we chose this over Sacramento's Polar Express. It's obvious that their staff spent a lot of time putting work into the trains inner and outter decor - beautiful and creative! Parents and adults FYI - on your way to your reserved train car, there's a small bar after boarding the train. It's very important to load up on your magic drinks before heading to your seat. (Drinks.. not drink! But drink responsibly, of course.) Parking isn't far and although limited, it shouldn't be a problem with reservations handled appropriately. We sang a few Christmas songs with the elves, threw snowballs at the grinch (best part, IMO), met Santa, and had a little fun at Santa's (little) village after the ride. Every sip of their hot cocoa (included with your tickets) was warming and delicious, perfect for cold weather. Couple of cookies came along with it, perfect for our kids to snack on. Overall, this was an incredible experience for our kids! Service was fantastic, ambiance was very jolly and felt like home, staff members are very friendly, and the experience is fantastic for all occasions - family, friends, and dates! The memories are ever lasting and hopefully it becomes a core memory that lasts a lifetime. Highly recommended to experience, at least once, for your little loved ones. We'll be back next year!

Absolute Disaster on the River Fox Train - Throw Mama from the Train! I wish I could throw myself from the train after this trip. What a complete mess. The AC was completely broken, turning the entire car into a sweaty sauna. They were "cooling" things by keeping bags of ice on the floor that quickly turned into lukewarm puddles. Of course, that meant the beer and water were all warm too. Nothing says "premium train experience" like sipping hot beer while sweating through your clothes. The charcuterie boards were a total scam. The menu looked great, but what actually showed up was a sad, half-empty version with tons of items missing. Ingredients didn't match the description at all. Then, when people started complaining, they announced free food... but only for passengers who didn't order the charcuterie boards. That's fantastic if you're part of the 10% who didn't order one. For the 90% of us who did? Tough luck. To top it off, our car didn't receive any food service until about 30 minutes before arrival. We paid for a nice experience and basically got a rushed, incomplete plate right as we were pulling in. The only bright spot was our server Ashley. She was running around like crazy in that heat, hustling hard and staying positive when everything else was falling apart. She deserves a medal (and a better employer). Save your money and skip this train. Not worth it.

Nope you basically follow the El Dorado Trail and see people's backyard with the Gran Finale being the Walmart auto service center. Doesn't sound like much, I know. But believe me when I say its quite the memorable ride! Plus the smile on your kid as he waves at the people walking along side the trail makes it worth a thousandfold its price. The trains are loud, old, original, and bumpy! This is what we paid for! A chance to relive the good ole days when our ancestors had it worse than us and had to endure long rides on a bumpy cold train. It sure made me appreciate my heated seats! The staff consists of passionate volunteers who dedicate their entire Sunday morning (perhaps even more,) to keep the train rides running safe and efficient. You're greeted with nothing but smiles and approachable folks eager to share their knowledge of the El Dorado Western Railroad! Ps. This was their first time re-opening after Covid-19. From what I heard they're trying to work their way up to travel further and fuller! Stay-tuned!

No one's reviewed this station yet?! It might have been me that set up the yelp page back when I…read morefirst came out here to a car repair shop from downtown where I worked at the time. I can't remember honestly. My patience for yelp page set up and edits is thin. It doesn't like me. Knows I'm a troll probably. Anyway. This is the end destination for the Township 9 Green line (Westbound). I used to call it a terminus but walking dead changed that for me. From 6 am to 8 pm you can take this line from 13th street Downtown to Township 9 at Richards and Bannon in the River District. There are six Green Line stops: 13th street (downtown), Archives Plaza (which I tried to make a Yelp page for earlier tonight), 8th & O, 7th & Capitol, 7th & I/County Center (Jail), and Township 9. Archives is usually where I connect to/from the Blue or Yellow lines. It runs every half hour. It does not run on weekends according to the schedule I just looked up. You're welcome. I don't like that. Maybe as they continue to build up the River District it'll improve? This station is okay (as far as safety is concerned) during commute hours, but at night you're going to be bothered by random dudes. It's an eventuality. There's some nice apartments nearby but not a lot of businesses open after 5 around here. The two ticket booper machines are in an inconvenient spot for what is usually just a two car train since so few people ride it. Even during commute hours. There's not a lot of places to stand out of the rain if it's raining. The train will come into the station, drop folks off, then turn around and come to the other side of the street to let everyone on going back downtown. Remember it's usually two cars only so don't be on the wrong end of the platform or you'll have to move quickly. Do as the Romans do. This is my new stop if I want to ride green to my new office building or back. It works out decently unless the trains or bus is late and I miss a connection. Less of an issue coming from my midtown place but if I'm at my boo's place in land park that's a longer transit trip. Don't forget to boop your connect card at the blue machine before getting in or you could get a ticket. Which is real stupid but it's happened to me before. I did show up to court and get it dismissed since the cop didn't show and duh I have a monthly pass. Yay transit! Parking: not that I can tell. It is unclear who is allowed to use the gravel lot. I think it's for sacrt employees? There is some street parking if you get here early enough. Don't try to park in the CHP lot. The MLSOC state office building across the street has a parking garage further down Bannon street (behind the office building) but it's $8 daily.

From start to finish, everything went smoothly, and most importantly, the kids had an amazing time. My nephew had so much fun and couldn't stop talking about how cool it felt to ride in a limo with the rest of the group -- it definitely made the day feel even more exciting and memorable for them. The driver was incredibly friendly and talkative, which helped the kids feel comfortable right away. He even allowed them to connect their own music, so they could enjoy their favorite songs and really have fun during the ride. Before everyone even got into the limo, the driver took the time to explain the route and the plan for the day, letting us know exactly where they would be going and reassuring us that everything was taken care of. As parents and family members, that level of communication and organization was something we really appreciated -- it made the whole experience stress-free. Seeing the kids so excited brought back memories of when I was also part of a quinceañera years ago, and I remember how special and unforgettable that limo ride felt back then too. It's one of those experiences that makes you feel grown-up, celebrated, and included, and this company really delivered that feeling for this new generation. Overall, the professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail truly stood out. Because of how well everything was handled and how happy the kids were, I absolutely think this limo company deserves a great review and would highly recommend them for any quinceañera or special event.
