The Golden Gate Live Steamers is available only on Sundays if weather permits. It is right next to the Tilden Train. It is donation-based. The folks running the train and escorting folks in are kind and lovely. They also give free train stickers to kids. My boys enjoy it very much and always ask to return. I highly recommend it if you have little kids and want to go out in nature. You can even have a nice picnic nearby and watch the beautiful bay view.

    Miniature steam train

The miniature steam train is kind of a hidden secret. It's not mentioned on the Tilden park attraction list. To get here, start at the entrance of the big steam train and continue walking all the way to the back until you find a curvy road which will lead you to the miniature steam train. If you liked the big steam train, you will definitely like the miniature steam train. It's not just for kids as adults can ride it too. Admission is free and the ride is about 5 minutes long. They usually open on sundays from 12pm - 3pm. Sometimes they open earlier and end later. There's a bunch of random toys, statues, figures and structures scattered throughout the train ride. It actually made me feel like a small person in one of those toy model trains that circles around the town. The ride is very peaceful and scenic. Try to find the 5 bears the next time you come here.

To get to Golden Gate Live Steamers, just walk down this little path from Redwood Valley Railway.

For us, the $100 was well-spent on one adult and two children. The event started with the Easter Bunny greeting every attendee and handing children a basket for the egg hunt. Breakfast included pastries, pancakes, bacon, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, and nearly every non-alcoholic breakfast/brunch drink under the sun. All attendees got unlimited Merry-go-round rides, which continued even after the event ended at 11am and the Merry-go-round opened to the public. Jenbert Jr. 2 loved the Merry-go-round and didn't want to get off-- and since she was unlimited, she didn't have to! The Easter egg hunt was very well-organized, with lots of eggs for even wobbly toddlers to find. The employees were good about making sure that there were lots of eggs for everyone. Jenbert Jr. 1 & 2 are still raving over the goodies that were in their baskets. Finally, there were a bunch of fun Easter-themed inflatables with bunnies, chicks, and even a Scooby-Doo with Bunny ears and a carrot! And let's not forget about the photo-op with the Easter Bunny! I'd bring back JJ1 & JJ2 next year, it was money well-spent and a very well-put-together event.

For anyone not hardcore Chinese, like myself, this tour is a necessity for braving the Andrew Zimmern-like delights of Oakland Chinatown. I mean, let's face it. Many of us are are going to have at least some amount of trepidation about diving right into the restaurants & markets of Oakland Chinatown. But with Carlo's trusty & knowledgable guidance, we were all able to relax & really enjoy the wonders that this non-touristy Chinatown has to offer. & it wasn't all about food. Though there was more than enough downright delicious food at each our 4 restaurant stops to stuff all of us, even with plenty of walking during the tour. The Oakland Chinatown tour also had a healthy helping of history mixed in that deepened the understanding & appreciation of this neighborhood. Savor Oakland Food Tours' tour of Oakland Chinatown was truly a mouth-watering & eye-opening experience. Knowing what a great tour this is, I know I'll have to check out their Jack London Square tour sometime.

I met Hasan…read morethough uber couple times and I asked for his card to make my journey pleasant, I was avoiding a random driver with attitude and trustworthy driver that I could confide to transport my family. There are few aspects that I recommend their service for: Cleanliness, Attitude, punctuality, easiness and skillfulness. Their cars are always clean and spotless. There were couple occasions that outside of car was little dusty but not at a level that would disturb me. Most of the time it shines like a diamond. However, the most important aspect is the interior of car and I have never had a single incident with cleanliness and amenities. Cars were always been stocked up and detailed. All drivers that have picked me up was courteous , attentive and respectful that everything was at enough dose that you feel their warm smiles and feel like special. In my first few bookings, I was uncomfortable of a fear that driver won't show up and I would miss my flight or get late to my meetings. However, they have never been late but almost always early with text message that says your driver is ready and waiting for you. Hasan totally eliminated my obsession with triple checking each booking that I always know that he is on top of his schedule and will never let me down. I also like the convenience of texting them to book my trips and everything else gets done automatically by their internal policy. I book my trip as easy as one text with pick up time or just a flight number for them to track my flight for delays. Finally the most important thing in car services is that the skills of driver. These people are amazing with their smooth rides, ambient music and excellent navigation skills. I have never experience a hard break like the ones in daily uber rides and they have always get me to my destination earlier than expected. I would especially recommend Hasan for his knowledge of all the backroads to skip traffic anytime of the day. Their pricing is fair especially compared to uber black rates that we get fixed price regardless of the time of traffic for at least 20% cheaper rate. What would make me more happy? - to get the same service for even cheaper price but in reality, it won't be possible due to high expense of such companies to maintain quality and services which is understandable. Long story short, these guys are the best and I am grateful that I came across with their service.
