AMT Coffee Bars are probably the best around. They crop up in stations across the country and serve - as standard - fairtrade coffee and organic milk.
The coffee itself is very good, always hot and a good rounded taste with no bitterness.
It is also probably the cheapest coffee chain in the UK, with prices often a full pound cheaper than the leading rivals. A Chai Steamer is £1.95, the equivalent in Starbucks is £3.05.
The service is generally excellent - I think the staff must get paid well or rewarded well or something because they are often really friendly and jokey. I find that having someone serve your morning coffee with a sense of humour can set your day off on an excellent course which I'm sure some idiot will ruin later, probably on public transport. read more
