THEY DESERVE 100+++ STARS! These are the best process servers out there, period. The only company worth using. They were thorough, relentless, and reasonable, trying every possible angle to track down someone with bizarre hours who was clearly dodging them. I called constantly, harassed them with questions, and they answered every time -- patiently walking me through it all. This was hard, thankless work and they got it done. They deserved ten times what I paid them. I will ONLY use this company for all my process serving needs. read more

Quick and prompt service, especially on an expedited request. Good pricing, no complications, and extremely fast response time.

Amstar Express did an excellent job serving the necessary paperwork to the defendant! They handled the process promptly and provided the Proof of Service Summons document very quickly. I corresponded with Rick, who was professional, responsive, and very easy to communicate with. I was able to get the defendant served within 24 hours for less than $100! I highly recommend Amstar Express to anyone in need of a reliable process server! read more

I had a very stressful situation as a legal support staff. I had to figure out how to get a package picked up from one location, taken to another over an hour away, have the package kept there for a few hours, and then taken back to it's original location. Altogether this job is a 10 hour process, a strict hush hush, and on a tight deadline. Instead of saying "no, we can't help you" as most places do, Rick helped me brainstorm and execute a plan. I recommend this place for their professionalism, open-mindedness, and genuine desire to collab with their customers. Miracles take teamwork, and these guys are team players. read more

Sadly the papers I paid for to be served were never served. Tried to talk with them about it but with no resolve. I felt they were rude and not helpful. Sad because I went with them because most of their reviews were good but I sadly experienced the same thing the other one started reviews did. Wish I could have gotten the 5 star service. read more

Amstar Legal Express is the best. EASY to work with - everything can be done electronically. After I paid the Sheriff's office for process service, they took 2 weeks and then didn't find the person to serve. Amstar did it in 2 business days. Super effective and well worth the entirely reasonable cost. I hope I don't have to use them again, but I will if I'm in the position to need process service again. read more

These guys are the best. I needed them to locate a court document in Los Angeles and send it to me in Mexico City ASAP. They located and sent the document right away for a reasonable cost. I can't say enough about this company and their professionalism. read more

There's nothing more valuable than having the peace of mind knowing what you have sent out for processing to be done (and will be done) was fully and accurately completed. Rick and his crew @ Amstar did just that and I am sincerely grateful! They hopped on the service promptly, stayed with it (because the Defendant was a jerk) and finally completed what I suspected would be a difficult service. THANK YOU! If you have a choice for using AmStar, don't bother with anyone else. Amstar is the one who can take care of business --- and who doesn't love a story with a happy ending?! They saved my bacon. Ventura County Superior Court has few files on line. I envisioned driving up there from LA to get pleadings from a file. Amstar emailed them to me in less than 24 hours. Amstar never actually did the service for me. Only because they told me how I could do it myself and save time and money. I truly appreciate them for their integrity and guidance. It's good to know there are businesses/people that still operate to help, even when they get nothing from it. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I tried to serve my neighbor a restraining order for over a month. He was successfully ducking me and the Sheriff's who were trying to arrest him. One day at roughly 11:30 in the morning I spotted him talking to some workers in the back yard and did a quick internet search for process servers. I came up with the contact for Amstar Express and called. The owner -Doug MacDonald picked up the phone and I asked if he could come right away - I was looking right at the guy I wanted to serve. He said he didn't have any of his guys in the office right then but would come himself and indeed within 15 minutes was in my driveway. When he went to serve my neighbor he had apparently gone to the store. Doug hung around for about 20 minutes and then said he would have to come back another time. What could I say; I didn't expect he would hang out all day. To my surprise 10 minutes later he called to say he had just served my neighbor. He explained that after talking to me and also knowing the guy had just gone to the store he thought he had a great chance to catch him if he waited. He went up the street and kept a visual on the property and sure enough shortly thereafter my neighbor pulled into his driveway. Doug successfully served him and the rest was finally history. I paid extra to have him file it with the county and that was as easy as it could be. I would never go stand in line again after having Doug do it. As an after note - Yesterday I finished at the courthouse and successfully got the 3 year restraining order issued. I didn't give it a second thought. The first stop on the way home was at Doug's office where I gave him a copy of the order and my credit card information and told him to simply serve, file, charge and let me know when it was complete. I highly recommend Doug and his team. read more

A-Freakin'-Amazing. They get the job done. I've used them for years and have had nothing but better-than-excellent service. Everything was done on-time or sooner. These folks provide the best service at the best price. read more

I was in a pinch and needed an urgent courier delivery in Woodland Hills on a Tuesday evening after 4pm. I had called 2 other courier companies before contacting Amstar, and they did not have delivery drivers available on short notice. Amstar was able to immediately dispatch a driver and completed the delivery in less than an hour. Their prices are also very affordable! They totally saved the day and I'm tremendously appreciative for their services. Will definitely be using them again! read more

I've been using Amstar Express almost exclusively since the summer of 2011. Doug MacDonald and his small team make this boutique firm seem capable of running with the big dogs. The few times a temp or someone in the office used a company other than Amstar....it was a mess. From big jobs requiring a dolly to haul off papers to be filed with the court to tracking down an entire board of directors in 3 states and serving them with papers, Amstar delivered and continues to deliver. Their drivers are all conscientious and courteous and always seem to do whatever it takes to get my documents where they need to be by the deadline. Use them and see for yourself. read more

I want to take a moment to share my experience with Amstar Express. I have a high end gift basket business and I have used the company for 8 years. They are beyond responsible, courteous, always on time and reasonably priced. Whether they are delivering one gift basket or 45 throughout the Los Angeles area Doug the owner makes sure that everything runs smoothly. Rick and Laura are in the office and are always helpful especially when I need a last minute delivery. There is no question that my business would not be as successful without them. read more

These guys are amazing! I knew my service of court papers was NOT going to be easy. My ex knew they were looking - so she dodged them like crazy! They were relentless and stuck with it to the end.
