I had just gotten home after 7PM, when we heard a loud crash in the garage that sounded as if someone or thing had struck the garage doors. Rushing to the garage to investigate and couldn't immediately finding any one, I checked the rest of the property and finally went back to the garage when I noticed the garage door spring had broken. Unable to open the door and knowing my wife's car was there I began considering my options. Finding AMS on Yelp I made the call. Mike answered on the second ring and was at my house in ten minutes even though it was now close to 8PM. Mike had us back in business in 20 minutes with the repair and full checkup of the door system and opener. I give Mike and AMS top grades read more

AMS Garage Door is great! They have saved our garage doors now on two separate occasions. Recently our garage door had been having problems and was not closing well. Finally, it stopped closing altogether and I had to use the cord to close it manually. Mike was able to troubleshoot the issue quickly and had our garage door working almost as good as the day it was installed. We are very happy with the service. read more

Garage door spring broke. After searching Yelp, I choose AMS because 1) awesome reviews and 2) the prices are clearly posed on their website ($167 for spring replacement.). No other company have prices clearly posted. All I can say is that AMS totally lived up to the reviews. I called in the mornings and they were able to fit me in first thing. Mike and his apprentice showed up. Between talking to Mike and watching how he interacted with his apprentice, clearly he was running a quality operation where he truly cared about his work and the customer. They replaced the spring, lubricated everything and adjusted the door. I had a horrible squeak since new (the rails were misaligned)... but they fixed too. About 20 minutes later the work was done, the price was exactly as advertised, and I was extremely satisfied with the work. No one plans on having a garage door spring fail, trapping their cars. If this happens to you, I HIGHLY recommend AMS. read more

These guys were great! I discovered them on Yelp, called them and was given up front pricing with no hidden fees. The customer service was impeccable. Anytime the owner is out beating feet and handling calls that speaks volumes of the level of professionalism AMS has. I am active duty military and always appreciate great customer service. If you have garage door issues or just need an opener installed, these guys are a must. read more

Mike is as good as every other 5 star review says. He arrived on time, very friendly and considerate, quickly diagnosed the problem, reviewed work and cost before starting and there were no surprises at the end of the job. I am amazed at how quiet my garage door is now. I won't have to worry about waking up my 7 month old anymore. I will definitely use his company again and will highly recommend them to anyone needing garage door repair/service. read more

I had them replace my destroyed garage door. I custom ordered a custom one and as soon as it arrived they were out to install it. They couldn't have been more friendly or professional. The final bill held exactly to the price they quoted and they were in and out in a few hours. They even replaced my optical sensors for no extra cost! As a side note, I compared their prices to ordering and installing the door myself, it was a LOT closer than I expected. Definitely worth it to have it professionally installed. read more

Search no further, AMS is simply the best. I used AMS in August for my House (Found them on Yelp at first) and Mike was very professional, had a perfect diagnostic of the problem by phone and fixed my garage door in the following hour. I was impressed. Today, I called AMS for my Wholesale business with 14 foot bay doors. Mike again showed up in less than 2 hours (In Manor, not an easy task) and fixed a door that we had badly damaged in less than 2 hours. Thanks Mike, not even we are able to sleep well during the week end knowing that our doors are back in place but you served us with rock bottom prices and a great attitude. If you need Commercial grade service for your business or your house, do not hesitate and call AMS. read more

We were surprised when our garage door came crashing down with our cars trapped inside. We were able to lift it with three people and get the cars out, fortunately. After doing some research on trusty Yelp, I called AMS and they had Mike out within two hours to my house to fix the broken torsion spring. He was super friendly, did the job in a timely manner and for less money than I was quoted. He also increased the safety of our garage door. I was impressed! read more

I just wanted to take a minute to tell everyone about my experience with AMS Garage Doors. Mike Steward made two trips to my home (sorry missed first appointment totally my fault) to look at my garage door set up. Fantastic crew arrived exactly when expected and were done exactly in the amount of time they said. I now have a button by the door leading into my house and a keypad just outside. I also have 2 remotes, on for each of my cars. All this for an amazing price. It still amazes me just how quiet it is when it opens and shuts. Also the electronic eye shuts everything down should my dog walk past it. Amazing... Actually I think the "A" in AMS should stand for AMAZING! They next day my neighbor came by so I showed him my new opener. He was so impressed he had 2 installed the very next week. I hope that the domino effect will go up and down my street. It will certainly help quiet down our neighborhood. Thanks Mike... AMAZING JOB! Stan Oliver Oliver Consulting Service http://www.ocs527.com/ read more

I used Yelp as my primary resource to find someone to repair our garage door spring. All of the Yelp reviews have been spot on and I am glad I looked here to find these guys. David was my technician and he was fantastic. I was very pleased with the experience from beginning to end. read more

This would be ten stars if I could give them that many! This company is courteous, competent, and honest. They are the best folks to call for any garage door issue. My original call was on Saturday to ask for an appointment for the following week. I expected voice mail and to leave a message but they answered and gave me the option of several different appointments. The first one available was 8 am on Monday -- which I was delighted to be able to do. I called back on Monday morning before 8 to make sure that the appointment had made it into the official schedule. It had and we were on. Have to take a moment to say how great the phone manners of everybody at the company are. They speak clearly, have information at their fingertips, and are gracious. It is such a pleasant surprise to have that nowadays. Mike, the owner, arrived in a timely manner and fixed EVERYTHING: - replace both door springs - fixed items that hadn't been done right on the original install before we bought the house - fixed the items we knew needed to be done for completing our amatuer install of a new garage door opener - fixed the items that we didn't know we had done wrong - tested everything - programmed our keypad for the garage door He worked quickly and efficiently but still answered many questions and explain what he was doing. Before he left, he explained how to test the door and know when it needed maintenance. And, he explained what to use and how to keep it lubricated. He was with us for about an hour total. The cost for this amazing job was just over $200. That is very reasonable. Our neighborhood association tries to let everybody else know our experience with different service companies. I will tell everybody in the neighborhood know about this wonderful local business. read more

Wow Mike was completely honest did not over sell me as other companies tried to. Out of all the garage companies AMS was the ONLY one who told me that I did not need a 2 spring system for my garage. Saving me about half of what I would have paid. Don't go anywhere else let AMS do the job. read more

I just had my garage serviced by AMS and I'm pretty impressed. I had the doors, but there was no way to open them (no rails, nothing!) They gave me a bid via email very quickly, and then we scheduled a day for the work. The work was done quickly, and the doors now work great. Their bid fit the bill exactly, no surprises, and was far below many of their competitors. read more

Wow What a great company. Mike came out today and not only reprogrammed my remotes but fixed my sensor on the doors so when the sun hit it just right it would still open up. He answered all of my questions and was very fast did everything in 45mins. MIKE ROCKS AND SO DOES AMS...................... read more

Fantastic service! They were assigned to me by my home warranty company. I didn't know what to expect, but they came promptly and were able to diagnosis the problem pretty fast. The service man explained to me what the problem was and fixed it on the spot. I really should have called them sooner than waiting. Glad I got them. read more

Have an HWA home warranty and made a claim due to one of the springs and cables breaking. Didn't have a choice on who HWA would send out. Well, choice or not, I'm very happy AMSGD did the job! Made the claim yesterday, got a call from AMSGD first thing the next morning and the job was completed by 11am same day. David was very professional and did an awesome job. Have already referred them to a friend. Even though I only paid a service fee due to it being a warranty claim, the full price I would have had to pay was around half of other competitors prices. THANKS AMSGD!! read more

I found this company on yelp, where they have great reviews. My experience was also positive. The technician came out same morning as I called in, which was big plus. He was professional and quick. AMSGD is what customer service should be! These guys are awesome! I called for an estimate & Mike came out & gave me a quote $1000 less than a local company. David came out the very next Friday & did the install. I was skeptical at first, it was just one guy & my old garage door was an antique & terribly heavy, but David got the job done. The work was first class & the price was exactly what was quoted. Save yourself the trouble of searching all over & use these guys. They keep it honest! read more

These guys are amazing! My kids opened the lift gate on our SUV and opened the garage door at the same time. Our garage door was literally hanging 1/2 way into our garage and almost completely off the tracks. Mike came out at 8:30 at night to fix it. He was done within 20 minutes and charged a VERY reasonable fee. He was also very personable and professional. I highly recommend this company! read more

My torsion spring broke and needed it fixed. Had another company come by earlier in the day. They were unable to fix the spring because it was a special spring. They said they would call me back and give me another estimate and that it would be more. They didn't call back but when I called them back it was more, Double! I called AMS @ 4:45 and asked for an estimate and let them know about my situation. The nice lady on the phone said that she could have the owner stop by and take a look free of charge, Mike was here around 6:00 and let me know what he could do and gave me an estimate loved the price almost a $100 cheaper! I told him he could come back in the morning or some time tomorrow not thinking he could fix right away. Door fixed and better then ever by 7:00! Awesome, Friendly, family owned and operated! Great price I will never go to anyone else but AMS hands down best! Thanks AMS! read more

I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but I am so frustrated I need to get this off my chest. I called and scheduled an appointment to have them come and install a garage door opener. On Thursday of this week. We decided to go with them, because of the stellar reviews here on Yelp. The gentleman I spoke to over the phone was actually super nice and a company we thought we'd like to work with. He put us on the schedule for Saturday the same week in between 12-2. I was so excited because again he was so nice and very professional. So it was really a surprise when no one showed today for the installation. We called the office, but I guess the office is closed on the weekend. Never even received a phone call or anything to let us know that no one was coming. We would have understood and appreciated if someone would have at least called to let us know they weren't going to make it out to us today or if they were running late. It's very unprofessional and We will never be in contact with AMSGD or will ever recommend them to anyone. The beauty of this whole thing, is we were able to get someone from another local company out here to install our opener, Garage Door Cowboys. They even came same day and are installing as I write this review and even offered maintenance service for no additional charge :) read more

All I can say is wow - I don't often leave reviews but our technician, David, just left and I had to leave a review. Our garage door and opener had to be completely replaced - it was a mess. David arrived on time and did a phenomenal job. We actually had another company in Round Rock come out and look at the door - their quote was almost 300 more and did not include the security keypad replacement. This is the only company we'll use from here on out for any problems we have in the future. Thank you AMSGD - give David a raise, he's great!! read more

The garage doors in my home needed some maintenance. I called AMS, they answered the phone, scheduled an appointment, and were there when they said they would be there. Good customer service. They did a great job with my doors, explained what they did, and how I could maintain them in the future. They are quiet and smooth now. Thanks AMS! read more

Called when our spring on the garage door broke. Showed up on time, and had our door up and running in under a half hour. They even fixed the attachment on our garage door opener to prevent further damage. read more

8pm at night freaking out about my door that had come off the tracks. They were not able to come that late but promised to come first thing the next morning and they did. He said no problem and got to work immediately. Those sheet metal screws will come out over time and they had acutally taken part of the door with it. He put in larger bolts and banged the bent door back into shape. Took about an hour and for $80 I was good as new. I really appreciated how knowledgeable he was and how quick and professional. He said there are 3 of them and they stay fairly busy. Company truck and uniform. Very much recommended. I would say do not assume it is too early or too late to call (unless midde of the night) just call the emergency number and get on the list. The sooner you call, the sooner they will come out. read more

I called AMS on the weekend. The tech walked me through some troubleshooting steps. It turned out to be a simple fix, which didn't require him to come out. read more

This guy knows his stuff! Mike is a stand up honest guy! I randomly stopped him while he was driving through my neighborhood and asked for service. He kindly said he was on the way to my neighbor's house but promised to call or stop by when he was done. He did both! After looking at my issues with my door, he ordered the parts, had them in when in a timely manner and all only cost a couple hundred bucks! All the above I felt comfortable with because I used to install these things on the commercial side back home and I knew he wasn't lying! read more

When one of two torsion springs broke on our garage door, I began the search for a company to make the repairs. After scouring the internet for a reputable company, AMS was the ONLY company with overwhelmingly positive reviews, and now I know why. Thanks Yelp for guiding me right!!! I put off scheduling the repair too long and the second torsion spring finally gave up when closing the garage door after getting home from work, which meant an after hours call to AMS. No response on the office line, but Mike answered on the 24 Hour line. 1-1/2 hours later, he shows up at the house, provides me with the estimate up front, and had the door back in working order in under an hour. While on site, he also lubed the door and adjusted the opener, explained proper maintenance, and answered all of my questions. Now the door is the quietest it's ever been, even better than when it was new. No doubt AMS is the only company I'd use or recommend. read more

Fantastic job! $100 less than another company I called and they didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. The other guy told my husband we really needed to replace the door. Mike came out an hour after I talked to him and it was already after 5. He assured us we didn't need to replace the door. I would definitely recommend them and will call them again if I ever have any other garage door problems. read more

Here is yet another 5* review for them. My phone calls for initial quote were returned right away and the follow-up visit was scheduled and conducted within a couple days. They were negotiable with their price and delivered to the day that they said that they would. Very professional, easy to work with and gave good advice on what to buy in our situation. Literally perfect experience! read more
