They went above and beyond to help my brother get his much-needed wheelchair, and I'm beyond grateful for their dedication, kindness, and persistence. I first started working with Lori, and from day one, she was a lifesaver. My brother is paralyzed and completely dependent on his wheelchair, but dealing with his insurance company (United Healthcare) was an absolute nightmare--they denied his claims repeatedly, dragging the process out for six months. Through it all, Lori never gave up. She guided me through every step, resubmitted paperwork three times, and helped me fight through the red tape. She kept me updated constantly, often staying well past business hours (sometimes until 6 PM or later!) to check in and make sure nothing fell through the cracks. She even joined in on three-way calls with the insurance company to advocate for us. Simply put: she cared, and it showed. Toward the end of the process, I also had the pleasure of working with Theresa Lathrop, who was just as diligent and dedicated. She helped ensure that, after all the delays, my brother's wheelchair finally got to him. Without both of these incredible women, I honestly don't think we would have gotten through this. Southside Hitch saved us from being stranded midway on our trip to pick up our recent graduate in…read moreTampa. We rented--online--a trailer from a well-known rental company. We had the hitch, but not the necessary lighting required for a trailer rental. Although we had an appointment to install the lighting at a Richmond location of the trailer rental company--at considerable cost-- while stopping to visit friends, we were told the kit was not available and could not be located at any other store along the 95 corridor at this venue, but we would most likely get lucky if we made various stops at their locations along the way. We called Southside Hitch the next morning, hoping that they would be able to help, but figured we would pay for our lack of planning. We were told to come on out, they were sure they could accommodate us! And they did! Within 30 minutes, we had a lighting kit installed at a fraction of the cost of the quote from the trailer rental company. It has taken me awhile, but I just want to thank Southside Hitch for being such an honest, reputable, and helpful company. We are so happy we called you! Thank you so very much!

I called this shop to ask if they could service the sunroof on my Volvo, and they said yes. I was…read morenever given a clear quote for the work--just told it would be about $300 for everything. They ended up removing my windshield (or doing work to it) even though that wasn't the issue. My leak was coming from the seal around the roof rack, which they did not fix. They said they replaced a gasket in the sunroof, removed my old one, resealed it, put it back in, and then told me not to open my sunroof again because there's no warranty. They kept my car longer than expected and were rude when I came to pick it up. They also didn't want to stay so I could pay in person, and it took them a week just to charge my card. I had also sent them videos on where my leak was coming from. Overall, I would not recommend this place.

I brought my vehicle to Audio Express to address an audio output issue. Following their initial…read morediagnosis, the amplifier and transmitter were replaced. A few days later, my left rear light stopped working. Assuming it was a simple bulb issue, I took the car to another auto shop. I was then informed that the problem was due to improperly reinstalled connecting clamps, which had been removed to access the amplifier during the prior service. I contacted Mike at Audio Express to explain the situation. He acknowledged the issue and assured me that I would be reimbursed for the cost of the repair. He stated he would coordinate with upper management and arrange for a reimbursement check. After several weeks without any update, I followed up and was told the matter was still pending. I continued to wait, but after more than three months and multiple attempts to get an update, I have neither received reimbursement nor any further communication. While mistakes can happen, the lack of follow-through and accountability in resolving this issue has been very disappointing.
