Heyyyy, so I can't speak for the hot dogs or the gas station chili nachos but in terms of gas, I couldn't ask for more. Heading to Phoenix from so cal, this is the place to stop in Yuma. Yuma will be the cheapest gas you encounter between the two locales and this ampm in particular is the cheapest. Gassed up here on the way to the Fiesta Bowl and it was $2.45 a gallon. On the way home I missed this station and filled up at another Chevron in Yuma for about $2.73 which was still about 80 cents cheaper than back home. It's AMPM. They have decently priced gas (compared to other stations). The gas pumps were filthy and probably haven't been cleaned since they were put in. There was a transient outside staring at all the women coming and going and talking to himself as he did so. They had public restrooms that were open, but filthy. I would only use it if you have a generous helping of hand sanitizer on standby. Overall, this is always our halfway point and gas stop between San Diego County and Phoenix, Arizona. A lot of restaurant choices surround this gas station. So I have been reading tons of bad reviews about this locale and frankly in the beginning I was shocked. However after further review I have come to the conclusion that some people will find anything to complain about not to mention they don't mind wasting money. I see most of the complaints were that this establishment does not take Credit Cards and charge a 35 cent...that's right 35 cent flat fee to pump gas here. I mean really that is terrible because after all who can afford to pay that staggering amount of money...WOW!!!! So naturally I am kidding but this whole situation is absolutely ridiculous and I am going to provide proof of that in the next paragraph. So we stop here EVERY TIME we are heading to San Diego...why you ask? Well here are the answers: 1.) It is the cheapest and LAST place for MANY miles that you will be able to fill up or top off your gas tank 2.) The California border is literally 2 to 3 miles from this location and once you see the first gas station prices there you will wish you got gas at this ARCO AM PM. 3.) We went to San Diego just this past weekend...Gas here was $2.17 which was 6 cents cheaper than I pay for it in Phoenix. Gas in California was on the cheap end $3.27....but people are complaining about a one time 35 cent fee at AM PM....again WOW!!!! The Bathrooms are fairly clean and while there can be a little traffic if your traveling EAST bound it is very easy to access this location if your heading WEST bound. My favorite thing about this location is I can use my Samsung Pay on my phone...tap the ICON on the pump get my gas and drive off....simply beautiful. So in conclusion, all you people that are complaining about the fact that this location does not accept Credit Cards and your so mad about a 35 cent fee...get over yourselves this place is perfectly fine and I highly recommend filling up here before you step foot into California...you won't regret it. read more

I love AM/PM also known as Arco. They have the cheapest gas around, and usually have what I need as well. On my way home from San Diego, I needed to stop here and refuel my vehicle and stomach. Cashier then states to me to move out of line for the others I advised her I still had transactions and was waiting. She ;anamae then states in a condescending voice well next time wait your turn. And proceeded to talk down to me I advised her to stop I was the customer and told her to stop being a bitch. I swipe my debit card and then am prompted to "accept" a $0.35 fee for using a debit card. Seriously, you are going to charge me to do business with you? No thanks. Until now, this Arco gas station was my favorite in Yuma. Yuma is about halfway between San Diego and Tucson or Phoenix. Yuma is the place to fill your tank, and this station is popular. Their prices are low, and they are the closest station when you get off I-8. The location makes it easy to get off I-8, fill up, and get back on. They can be crowded during holiday traffic periods, but they have plenty of pumps, so the wait is short. Until now, this station had everything going for it. This Thanksgiving weekend I pulled in to fill up, and I had trouble getting gas. No EZ off, EZ on anymore. I swiped my credit card and the machine asked me to accept a $.45 fee for an ATM purchase. I declined and tried again. The second time, I agreed just to get it over with. Then the machine asked me to enter my PIN. My credit card doesn't have a PIN. Then I noticed a sign on the machine. This station no longer accepts credit cards or debit cards. ATM cards, yes; VISA, no. Now, I could have walked into the store and paid cash, or I could have swiped my ATM card and paid the $.45 fee plus other bank fees, but I didn't. I was pissed. They altered the rules, and they were being difficult. It's like when your girlfriend rearranges everything on a whim. Coaxing won't help, offering a reward doesn't work. She just changed her mind, and you are left wondering what happened. Nothing you can do. You're screwed. Here's some other options: 1) Chevron - Keep going down 16th St, it's the next gas station. Same low prices, and they take credit cards. Lines can be long, because all the people turned off by Arco are lining up. Once you are finished, getting back on the road, turned around and headed back to I-8, can be a challenge given the usual traffic on 16th St. You have to turn right leaving the gas station on 16th St, go up to the next light and do a U-turn. 2) Shell - RECOMMENDED - Another half mile after Chevron on 16th St there is a Shell station on the corner. Same low prices, credit accepted, and because it's on a corner, it's easy to get back on 16th St headed back to the interstate. Best part: absolutely no lines.
