Well, now we will be splitting our time with the presence of a new Maverik directly across from Love's. The employees were so nice and friendly and the store was stocked full of great stuff, like you'd expect from Maverik. We travel a lot and know that Maverik has competitive gas prices, a great rewards program, and clean restrooms for travelers. My wife and I had been hosting a Lego Experience at the Yuma County Fair and heard that we were featured on the front page of the Yuma Sun. We were able to get some copies from the newsstand at Maverik and talk to the clerks about our story. They were wonderful and congratulated us about it. Definitely planning on going to Maverik the next time we are in Yuma.

I found the inside of the store pleasing to the eye and senses; from the clean concession/coffee area (sugar free syrups? A big win), the soda machine with all the bells and whistles (flavor shots, two different selections of types of ice) self service kiosks and a big hot food section. I was gonna get the app for extra reward point collecting but the reviews were iffy, so that's a pass. But the store is a "go."

It sounded good, but I didn't have an occasion to stop into a Circle K until I pulled in at this location. So even though workers were looking at me like I was going to steal something, I'll still give them a full five stars. I was wearing a long parka and tennis shoes with tights. I had just completed the 3 hour drive to get here and I don't tend to drive in high heels. Anyway, I might have looked a wee bit shady... To start the location is great, right next to my hotel. Also right near the freeway on ramp. The gas station parking can get a little crazy, but I never had a huge problem finding a spot. The inside is chock full of interesting food items that only these types of places seem to have. Both hot and cold items can be found here along with a small frozen food selection. So is the coffee really that good? Yup! It's legit! The machine puts out a brew that even has a little froth because of its freshness! Next to the row of machines is a creamer machine which had all the options you could hope for. Get the coffee!

"A good deal on gas...at a Fry's pump station??" Used the Fry's card, filled up and it was "Deuces!" from there. Moral of the story: always keep an eye out for deals...even at 11 at night...

There was a brief moment of, "would anyone eat the tarantula if we bought it?" - NAH. We left it for future customers, along with snackable crickets and bugs.
