CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!! Marisol and the chick from el Salvador....and the manager clean the coffee machines with bleach. Not soap! They pour bleach into the coffee machines and then fill them with water. Let them soak for over 30 min sometimes overnight. Then pour the bleach out and make coffee for the customers. Not at 1 point do they clean them out with soap. Bleach causes cancer! I don't understand how they can live with a good conscience knowing they might be giving customers cancer! I told Angie "the manager" because I was a registered nurse for 20 years and I have seen patients with cancer. Angie did not care and ignored me. The cashier from el Salvador puts on gloves and does not change them ALL day!!!! She cleans the bathrooms with the gloves, mops, handles money, then makes food for your consumption. BTW the owner owns this gas station and the one across the street. Also just so customers and the food department know, they don't dump out expired food. They rip off the food expiration tags and replace them with a new time and date. The food sits ALL DAY UNTILL NIGHT SHIFT. The little short thief steals gas gives it to her friends and takes it off unsuspecting customers credit cards. I made Angie aware of the situation but she told me to shut up and not say a word, or else, be sure you get the gas you paid for. CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! read more

5 stars for the price, but unfortunately everything else is not as good. I always dread going in here because the older men that work here have weird sense of humors. They make weird and sometimes offensive jokes and sometimes you don't know how to react.....also today I saw a younger looking guy try to buy ciggerettes and the cashier didn't ask for his ID and then when he tried to pay with a credit card the cashier again did not ask for his id. I like this place because they are open 24/7 on the inside. I usually stop here when I need gas after the gym. I am usually just going to grab a drink or banana or gas from there. Cruisen along in my automobile... and ohhh CHIT the gas light just popped on!!! WTH man!!! Didnt I just fill up the tank? Ohhh look im on the 405 and there is Brookhurst! sweet let me pop off to the Arco and put in $20 on the quicks... Pro Tip #1: There is an additional fee for use of your debit card in lieu of cash! Well I have stopped at this location for years now. When in that exact situation described above. Honestly its not my preferred station since they dont take credit cards, but in a pinch, yeah this will do the trick! Pro Tip #2: One block North of the 405 on the NW corner. The former location on the SE corner may fool you though, but it is officially closed and unused! I know I used to go there too!!! None the less they have the island cash/debit machines. To help speed things along. Fairly good pricing here but not the best. The AMPM portion is your typical c-store with all of the typical items, but they dont take a credit card so dont bother trying! This joint is usually fairly clean at the pumps and c-store. This is a nice change from some lower end AMPMs. read more

This is the SECOND incident this week I had a horrific Bad experience dealing with this ARCO' gas station' cashier. He is a male brunette, approximately 20+ years of age with a really bad attitude towards customers!! He's Rude & obnoxious, yelling at customers using profanity towards them including myself as s female patron. I gave this cashier a $50 bill and asked for $10 unleaded regular (pump 11 at 9:05pm Incase The owner is reading this). This male cashier proceeded to give me back $20 in change hoping I wouldn't notice. He shut the cashier door quickly to help another customer in line until we both stated to him; "excuse me you need to give back $40.00 in change. He acted as if nothing was wrong, threw the change back in my face. When I went to the pump 11 this cashier, SHUT OFF pump Before I could pump for gas. When I went into the ARCO mart to confront him, he shouted out at me in front of customers "I refuse to give you service" to cover up what he had just done, and make it look like " I" was the issue . This ARCO cashier is a piece of work & appears to have psychological issues. ATTN: to this ARCO gas station owner & Manager: this incident occurred tonite between 9 AM to 9:10 PM on April 20, 2016 at pump 11. I am a women in my 50s and have to say I have never ever in my entire life experienced what I have tonite at ANY gas station. I will never be a patron at your gas station again in the future and encourage mutual friends not to go there. I took my chances this evening that a different ARCO' cashier might be working tonight. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I then was forced to go to a nearby gas station where I met another patron who proceeded to tell me the ARCO' manager at that same station isn't any better than tonite' idiot cashier. He himself had a horrific experience with this SAME ARCO cashier I had tonite that he had actually filed HIS complaint directly to Arco "Corp" office. We both agreed this obnoxious cashier ' GOTTA GO!! Gas is too expensive these days to have to put up with really bad customer service station cashiers. read more

This is an easy gas station to get in and out of... and the prices are usually a good 10 cents less per gallon or so, than the stations down the street on Brookhurst and Warner... but they charge you 35 cents to use your ATM card, which is a bummer... and they dont take credit cards. read more

We come here all the time because we live close by and the gas is great. Now, I have MORE of a reason to purchase here. THEIR HONESTY! Recently, I came here in a hurry and spent $45.00 to fill our tank. And, I drove off without GETTING IT! Have you ever done THAT before? I did about thirty years ago and I had more reason to forget back then. I drove to my next stop. Afterwards, I happened to look at my meter and it was close to empty! WOW! I forgot to get $45.00 worth of gas! I quickly drove back with a sinking heart because some time had passed. The same clerk was at the counter saying, "Your gas is waiting for you." HOW WONDERFUL! Just walked into Arco on Brookhurst to get gas and the night guy let me use the restroom. It was clean and well kept and when I got my gas theres was clean soapy water in the squeegy buckets. This is a great place for service and and gas. Most of them shut the restroom down and say out of order. Im not spending my money at a gas station that doesnt have restrooms and clean soapy water for my windshield. Thank you to whoever je was for making my stop there pleasant. read more

I came to pump gas and saw my dad at the pump. We stand there talking then this woman comes out and asks if we're pumping gas, rude as hell. Why else would we be here and what difference does it make?! We aren't causing a disturbance! Never again will I ever come here! im a lyft driver. first time ove ever been refused to use a restroom... i always go into arco for safety factors... this claudia was as rude as rude can be. kindly asked this woman to use restrooms, i have uti and always need a safe and clean spot to handle my business... she needs to be schooled and trained to treat her fellow woman with kind and understanding grace, about womanly health issues we have and not act like she's above it all... she should be fired!!! read more

Usually pretty quick and friendly. The gas prices here are the best in 5 cities. Any time I come through town I'll stop here to fill up. Plenty of pumps too so you're not stuck waiting in a long line almost ever. The bathroom is a little strange though. read more

These pumps are super easy to use and don't start and stop like the Arco I use the other night on Newport Boulevard. Super well lit all the pumps are very well marked people inside are very nice and the bathroom was spotless! Will make this a weekly stop for sure! Cheapest Arco around, there's another one on the opposite corner that is not an ampm and charges two cents less. read more

bad place to pump gas -1 star, this place is priced $0.10 higher than my regular gas station in Huntington Beach (pumped same day) -1 star, all the payment machines do not accept cash and force us to go inside to pay. either fix the machines or take down your big signs that say pay 'cash/credit here.' when I see businesses like this I think the owners are throwing on the white towel and have given up. the business is going down as small broken problems will start adding up - 1 star, I go inside to pay and ask the cashier how long the payment machines have been down and she laughs. This is conveniently located near the 405 entrance on Brookhurst. Arco has cheaper gas prices, but I would recommend paying cash, unless you want your debit card charged an extra $0.35! Also you can put cash into the pay machines and enter your pump number conveniently without even having to make the walk to the cashier! Listen to music as you pump for extra fun! ;-) If you choose to make the trip inside to pay, say if you need cash back, you can choose from a very large variety of foods, drinks, pharmacy items, etc.! I got gas and paid cash at the pump. I put $30 in the cash machine and the tank would only take $26, so I had no choice but to drive up to get my money back. Unfortunately I am handicapped and also have mobility issues so getting out of the car can be a problem. Hoping the clerk would be accommodating as 90% of businesses are when told I am handicapped, the clerk came out shouting slurs at me such as you lazy **** and what are you too fat to get out of your car? He made sure he insulted me towards my back so he thought I couldn't hear him. I will never go to this gas station again. It really is sickening the way some people treat someone who is handicapped. I blame the management in a situation like this as they should be the responsible party to educate their employees about special needs customers. This is all to prevalent in our society. And to the person who thinks this gas is cheaper, go up the block to Mobil, the price was about 20 cents a gallon cheaper. Next time better gas, better people. read more

Arco doesn't have an option to use a credit card at the pump?? You can either use cash or a debit card but if you want to use a credit card you have to pay inside which is ridiculous. I will continue to pass this and every other Arco station by as there are so many better options. read more
