We have been here several times because it is our halfway point to and back from San Diego. Most of the staff here are very friendly. This was written during the "Covid19 Virus" era. Do not come in without a mask. No you can not have refills on anything. No you can not use the bathroom. They are extremely over cautious! You can not use credit, it has to be cash or debt. Be careful leaving if you are driving over the circle metal gas lids on ground when leaving. Your car will rock like an earthquake. It hit the bottom of our car. 1 star for the tire pressure machine alone, which is either down when I try to use it or requires me to constantly have it turned back on (does not last very long, certainly not enough time for 4 tires). Staff requires you to have a receipt, fine if you get gas but with the time crunch you have to either find another receipt or ask them to turn it back on. I had to ask 3 times honestly. I've brought an electric car here for the air machine and had to pay as I was not getting gas. Turning into this station is not easy as there are always a lot of semi trucks trucks parked here. Additionally the gas station is debit only which makes no sense. Inside the AMPM it smells like the definition of one, filled with junk food and low quality drinks that are overpriced. read more

This AM/PM has some of the more expensive gas in the area but if you are leaving Hidden Meadows to head north, need gas and don't want to deal with having to get off the freeway further north, it's a convenient location. This is also one of the closest gas stations to the I-15 freeway itself so where time is concerned - to get off, gas up, and right back on the road - it gets some consideration. The pumps don't always accept cash for this you must sometimes go inside to pay which is a hassle. AM/PMs do not accept credit cards for gas and do surcharge you about 35 cents per gas transaction. Inside, AM/PMs offer a full mini mart with some hot food too (nothing gourmet, but edible) and coffee. The coffee is decent and you may pick up unlimited flavored creamers to spruce it up. Air pumps for your tires, and water, which by the way never pay for these just ask they will turn them on from inside. read more

The BEST AMPM ever. Rural, and full of customers stopping on their road trips to SD. They are fast, quick and efficient. Sylvester and the manager are amazing, friendly and always quick to make the customer happy. I will always stop here for gas and extras just because of the customer service. This AM/PM is in an enviable location. Coming south on the I-15, it's the only gas or convenience store for miles in any direction. Plus, it's super easy-peasy - just off the freeway - if your eyes are open, you cannot miss it. I usually stop here when I need gas and can't make it any further on the fumes I am burning. This happens more often than you would think! I am also usually in a big hurry, so rarely have time to do anything other than throw a ten-spot at the clerk and blast back onto the freeway. On at least one occasion, I had to buy food here. What do you think! It was lousy as expected, although you can sometimes put something together that is edible. I don't recommend the hot dogs (haha) This place is always crowded. And the "farmer" selling avocados and other produce just at the edge of the parking lot is usually busy selling his/her ware. So expect a wait unless you are lucky. I am A-OK with this Arco. I hate paying cash for anything, but sometimes ya just gotta (they do take credit cards for convenience store stuff, just no gasoline). read more

I normally wouldn't even bother with a review for places like this, but I do like to call out good service (and warn people when strange things are afoot at the Circle K...or Arco...you get my reference, yeah?) We made a quick pit stop here, on our way to Vegas one weekend. I honestly wasn't expecting much by way of service or personality from the guy behind the counter, but I was pleasantly surprised. I wish I had gotten his name. At any rate, he helped us save some money by pointing out that some of the drinks we were buying were on sale, which allowed us to get more than we had for less money than we were going to be spending. I know it sounds so trivial, but he easily could have just let us buy our items without piping up, and I appreciated him bringing it to our attention. On top of that, he was friendly - not only with us, but with every customer that was in line ahead of us. That counts for a lot in my book. The store was well lit and clean, and things were easy to find. All in all, I was impressed by the employees and the shop, which is more than I would have expected, going in. read more

lady that works here is a complete jerk. while i greetred her with a ''hi" there was no return reply "hi how are you." no friendly customer service. i give her a $20 bill. with a sly face and tone of voice she immediately says straight up "is your bill fake?" then she spends almost a minute while others are waiting as she examines the bill. i dont check all my bills and she is already examining it. no need to ask if it is fake. she can look herself and reject if needed. i said thanks as i was handed my return change and then i walked out. as i walk out the door she yells out 'you're welcome' VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. her name is megan. this lady should be reprimanded. management needs to correct. -apparently this arco has a a lot of other bad reviews. dont go here! read more

This AM/PM has saved me and my wife numerous times when we're running low on gas because there isn't really another clearly visible gas station until Temecula when we're on our way back home from SD. This store could definitely use a face lift or even a few more pumps because it seems way too small for the amount of traffic they have from work commuters and students leaving Palomar/CSUSM. If you're looking for a bathroom here, honestly I wouldn't bother. It's always busy and a long wait. The VONS off El Norte Pkwy is much better. Gas and horchata is all we need here... read more

So NOT impressed. I went to go get my Red Bull (my addiction). AM/PM usually has decent sale prices. This store did not have the 4 pack of Sugar Free RB for 6.99. Usually when this happens, the guys at the counter let me buy four singles at that price. When I get up there, both of the cashiers tell me that Red Bull doesn't make 4 pack sugar free. Hmmmm, ok. This is completely untrue, but when I tell them this, they argue with me and tell me it's the same price anyway. Since when does 4 for $8.00 equal 6.99?? I figure they have it worked into their system that when you buy four, it drops the price to 6.99, so I drop it and buy the four. When I look at my receipt after, not only did the 4 I bought cost 7.99 (as I thought it would) but they had scanned an extra one. I have to go back in the store to get that one taken off. Annoying!! A little note here, I would usually go in and tell them the price was wrong as well, but these two guys came off as very intimidating and a little threatening. I didn't feel comfortable in their presence at all so I decided to drop it. I also haven't been back since. They get two stars due to convenience of location only. Gas prices are slightly higher here. Skip it and go somewhere else. There are a ton of stores etc. off of El Norte, just down the street. This place is not the only option. read more

I don't use my debit card with the risk of exposing it a to skimmer. And ampm will not take my credit card. So I used the $20 in cash I had for a few gallons of gas then drove down the street to Shell to finish my fill up. Too bad for ampm- big revenue loss at the point of sale. I don't know why there are so many complaints about this station. #1: It's California - gas is outrageous to begin with. However, I don't find this station to be any more than other places. In fact, I paid $3.99 for premium this week, which was probably $.70 cheaper than a gas station I passed further up the road in Temecula. #2: They do not only accept debit and cash. Every Arco AM/PM I've been to have changed their payment system to kiosks, rather than at the pump. If you want to pay by credit card, just go in to the actual store and the clerk will assist you. However, I hate that there is a fee to pay by debit card (usually $.45). That's so ridiculous. This place is easily accessible from the 15 south and north, and isn't a bad place to stop if you are on your way in or out of San Diego. Plus, there is the infamous fruit stand in the parking lot - where you can get 25 avocados for $5. That is a crazy good price, and the avocados are fresh from nearby! read more

I obviously don't do reviews... but wow... was pretty upset when it took about three times for my card to work. And when it did.. I received a receipt... which means... all is well... and the transaction was aproved... Irene... the attendant proceeded to follow me outside to yell at me and tell me she was going to call the cops on me... all because i was upset that it took that many tries to take... you handed me a receipt ... transaction over!!! wow... I frequent this gas station regularly... at this point I will make sure that I dont... and I suggest no one does late at night... everyone else has been amazing... so I can't talk bad about them... but it is sad about one situation that will make you want to warn others about going. Go to the Mobil a few miles north!!!!! I made the mistake of stopping here 1st. There was a huge line. Gas turned out be about 30 cents more than the Mobil I ended up going to a few miles further north. They don't take credit cards! - which is why I went elsewhere. Why in this day and age would any gas station not take credit cards. They at least need to put a big sign up saying they don't take credit cards. I was the only way who I saw drive away without gas after figuring out this ridiculous fact. Also, if you're a busy gas station with long lines, why in the heck wouldn't you put longer pump hoses on so they can reach either side of the vehicle - you know like Costco has been doing for YEARS as an example? This is the worst gas station I've been to in years. Why would anyone go here when the nearby Mobil is cheaper, less crowded, and takes credit cards? read more

This place is in a great location. The young men that work there are rude, snobbish and pretentious. I guess it might start from the top down. I for one will never, ever visit this store again. Just want to give a shout out to STIVEN! We were on our way from San Diego to Redlands and our car started making a weird sound from under the hood. We took the exit and stopped at the Arco on Mesa Rock Drive. We were looking under the car when Stiven approached us, and looked to see what happened. He left and came back with zip ties and pliers. He got down under the hood in his nice clothes and fixed the piece of plastic hanging down in less than 10 minutes with a smile. He wished us a safe drive and left without letting us pay even for the zip ties. THANK YOU STIVEN! For your being so kind and so helpful. It's the first time for me to use the gas station, and I was not satisfied with the capability to only accept debit and cash, and the customer service. I was driving on my way home from SD to Riverside. I needed gas so I stop by to fill up the tank on my SUV. I thought that it would be convenient but I was proven wrong. They don't accept credit, just debit or cash.... So I went inside to see if they can make the transaction for me. The cash register/customer service rep (guy) that was working today (25Jul2013, 4pm) said "Arco does not accept credit card" and I said "That sucks" and I walk away, upset. As I open the double door to leave, he said "Excuse me, Did you say something" as I continue to walk away, and I said "Yup, that sucks", then he said "You suck, fucker" as the door closed behind me. I stopped with the front door behind me and said to myself, maybe he didn't hear me right, so I walked away. As I looked on my rear view mirror, he was there on the doorway with the door propped open. And I was like, this guy supposed to be professional and courteous with the costumers but I guess this gas station will get a bad review from me for bad representation and bad costumer service.
