Priya (the owner) and her staff do a wonderful job with their clients. Her beauty bar has it all - threading, waxing, facials, makeup, eyelash extensions, microblading, and even cosmetic injectables. Prices are fair and even lower than some other aesthetic businesses in the area. I've been coming here for over 4 years. I've done waxing, eyebrow threading, facials, and makeup services. I'm always satisfied with their work. The staff has years of experience and knowledge in their craft. They have great attention to detail and an aesthetic eye. They customize a look that makes you feel beautiful in your own skin. Never in a rush - they take their time to ensure you have a relaxing and comfortable experience. The ladies are very personable and sweet. It's no surprise they retain regular and loyal clients for years. Whenever I need to get glammed up for an occasion, Priya is my girl!!! She's done my makeup several times and I'm always happy with the results. I get so excited to sit in her makeup chair because she makes me feel and look like a ~*princess*~. Bring her a reference photo of the look you want, and she'll nail it! A full glam look costs $120. It's my favorite service here. The salon is very clean. It's not a huge space, but they do a lot with what they have. Metered street parking only as it's located on a main street. You can come as a walk-in for eyebrow threading and some services, but I recommend making an appointment online or calling because they can get very busy. I love it hereeeeeeee!

In the photos you'll see how my face is red from the wax, but it didn't get most of the hair. There's so much hair left. She did point out to me that some hair is left, but I didn't realize it was so much. And it left weird bumps on my skin. She said the wax may have been too hot (it seemed fine to me) i think the kind of wax was wrong for the face. Again, staff is very kind and polite. But I didn't get my moneys worth of removing the hair.

My sugaring specialist was amazing! I told her my concerns about pain and she talked me through the areas that would be most painful. She also provided excellent education throughout the service. Unfortunately I was just visiting, but if I lived in area I would definitely make this my go-to sugaring location!

I'm no stranger to hair removal. I've been around the block with soft wax, hard wax, sugaring,…read morethreading, creams, DIY kits, and good ol' shaving. Everyone has their preferences, but recently I've been leaning towards sugaring. If you're not familiar with the technique, it's basically a paste made of sugar, lemon juice, and water that is used to remove hair. No chemicals-- you can't get any more organic and natural than that. It's been two weeks since my appointment, and I'm happy with my results. I have super sensitive skin and a fast hair growth cycle. Compared to waxing, sugaring is gentler on my skin and is a natural exfoliant, so I have less irritation, breakage, and ingrown hairs. I've also noticed slower and minimal growth. My skin just looks and feels so much better! Sugaring NYC has a convenient scheduling system. Because it's a franchise, you can choose from multiple locations. You can book online and choose from a lot of time slots. I was able to make an appointment the day of and booked a Brazilian wax ($65). Service was great from start to finish. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. The waiting area is SUPER CUTE and a pink lover's dream. Alexis was my esthetician, and she made my experience as comfortable as possible. Let's be real... getting your lady bits waxed isn't exactly the best feeling on Earth. But I felt like I was chatting with a close girlfriend! She was informative, personable, and took her time. The whole process was 10-15 minutes. I loved how clean and sanitary the facility was. If you're a waxing veteran, sugaring won't be too bad. I have a decent pain tolerance, and I don't feel like it hurt any more than hard wax. Just remember to breathe, sis. I had some redness afterwards, but nothing out of the ordinary. I was strutting out of there feeling smooth and sexyyyyy! P.S. They have a loyalty program. Every $20 = 1 point = $1 off P.P.S.
