The owner was very accommodating for my group's large party. The intimate restaurant opens up to a fun bar with live music and dancing as the night goes on. The salmon was cooked well and paired nicely with the Sancerre. My only qualm was that the dirty martinis were served with black olives.

Tafliatelle au homard Creamy Lobster sauce & lobster

First off -- in my opinion and experience -- Amour in WeHo gets 3 stars. The place is absolutely beautiful aesthetically. The decor is elegant, colorful, and romantic, with vines on the walls and soft, dim lighting that create a lovely atmosphere. The vibe is definitely one of its strongest points. Unfortunately, the food was a different story. While the French onion soup was excellent, everything else we ordered was disappointing. The organic chicken creamy stew had chewy chicken and the sauce was completely bland -- no flavor at all. My son ordered the creamy lobster tagliatelle, and it was so off that it didn't even taste like lobster -- more like fish. To make matters worse, our server barely checked on us the entire night. We didn't even get a water refill, while the couple at the table next to us had their server stop by multiple times to check in and make sure everything was perfect. I really don't like to bring up race, but the difference in treatment was noticeable and hard to ignore. I chose not to make a scene since it was my daughter's 24th birthday and I wanted her night to feel special. But overall, it was a disappointing experience -- beautiful setting, but the service and food didn't live up to it.

Charming French restaurant with friendly staff, perfect for an intimate dinner/date night. We came on a rainy day with newly installed tents that weren't truly keeping the outdoor patio entirely dry. Every few seconds a raindrop would plop onto our booth and the tables of other guests, and although the staff apologized and were very kind, there wasn't really anything anyone could do and it was unfortunate. The cocktails were impeccable! Lovely concoctions that packed a punch. Dinner: * Caviar Service 8/10 * Tagliatelle au homard 100/10 (Insanely delicious creamy lobster pasta) * Filet de boeuf 8/10 * Sautéed Mushrooms 10/10 * Crème brûlée 9/10

Had a lovely dinner at Amour. We started with the goat cheese salad, which was fresh and well-balanced. For mains, we had the lobster tagliatelle and duck breast--both delicious, but the real star was the carrot purée that came with the duck. So good. Dessert was a showstopper: the crème brûlée literally came out on fire. The presentation throughout the night was top-notch, though the food did take a while. But hey, that's authentically French, right? Worth the wait. Would definitely come back for a date night. The ambience was so romantic

The chef is amazing. Service is stellar! French to a T. Special thanks to Sandra, the general manager who is very hands on and Quentin for being so attentive.

Let me talk about the great stuff first! The decor, the ambiance, the architecture were all lovely and cozy. Love the air and plant, it was very French and inviting. The wait staff were wonderful, friendly, and attentive. There was a live singer on a Friday night. The songs were great and entertaining, but too loud in order to have a good time going out with friends trying to have a conversation. That finished and the low bosanova came on and it was MUCH better. Now the food: there were 6 of us and all of us said our food was mediocre, and that was sad compared to the price we paid for it. Our drinks were great, but sadly the food was lackluster. I might come again though, because it was such a cute place.

The vibes here! Such a cool and very LA type of space. The food is presented very nicely too. Service was super friendly and attentive. We came here for a prix fixe brunch for Mother's Day and enjoyed it overall. The plates are not excessive and are refined smaller portions. The cod was perfectly cooked! The braised beef as slightly overcooked and a little tough but the gravy that it came in was delicious. A little more on the expensive side but cool space if you're looking for a vibe!

Birthday dinner at Amour was delightful. My most favorite dish was onion soup, which was very tasty and well balanced. Lobster pasta was good. I love pasta sauce and how they perfectly cooked lobster meat so it was very tender and juicy. However, the pasta noodle itself was somewhat mediocre. Fried frog legs and mussels were nice too but nothing special. Salmon didn't smell good. It's also dried and tasteless so we barely finished it. Ambience and service were good. Overall I would give 8/10 for everything.

The good: The design, the vibes, location, Stunning outdoor patio The bad: Prices - but that's just LA right now So let's be clear here this review is based on expected value for cost and at a $376 bill for 2 people with 2 cocktails each - this new French stunner is just a bit too pricey without the taste to back it up. They also didn't have tap water meaning 2 bottles of flat water also added $20 to this bill plus a mandatory 4% wellness charge. Everything here was a bit bland, the standouts were the steak tartare, the Amuse bouche, Asparagus Tartare and cocktails. The misses? Blue Prawn Carppaccio and all the mains. Steak was underwhelming, potatoes were too salty, and the dessert was nothing to write home about. Overall - I'd come here to meet a group of gorgeous people on the edge of WeHo for some cocktails and appetizers but save your money on a full meal. This is a STUNNING patio as well great for a date - so if the weather is good take advantage of that for sure.

White asparagus. The reason we came.

Celery root carpaccio was the best for me. Folx loved it. The music was good, however too loud. We had a "quiet" table but it was hard for us to hear from each other. There was intense incense smell throughout like we walked into an incense store. These things were remedied to the degree possible with the help of the lovely amazing hosts. I moved the intense stick that I didn't realize was right at our table. I thought it was coming out of the A/C ! And they turned down the music some. Lower music would grant the fifth star. Strange comment: our server wore nylon gloves in black (like nurses do). It's a fancy french kinda place so I get the gloves, totally, I would just make them cloth.

Food was great, ambience was beautiful, and staff was kind and friendly! We ordered the lobster tagliatelle, mussels, burrata salad, and the crème brûlée--- all were great!

Enter the double doors with the mural painted on both. Gaudi would approve. Got allergies? Pass through the first patio hung over with plant life and proceed to the larger glassed in second one. If you're a player or a prayer secure a table in the gorgeous inside Library (nee, Dining Room/Bar). You'll be hard pressed to find a prettier resto this side of Laperouse in Paris. No detail is left undetailed. Gold plated cutlery rests on Brazilian Granite Tables. The various dining rooms are plucked from Blemheim Palace. Need a table for 8 in a private room filled with gold leaf and crystal everywhere, Amour's got you covered although after paying that bill you'll need to recover. A curated play list of breathy French singers breathlessly sing about love lost and found at Amour. No competing with a Travis Scott loop at brain bleed volume here. Just the soft soothing sounds of Pauline Croze and Django which is like the warmth apres amour. The only noise to intrude is the Life Flight Helicopter carrying a Kidney for some Yakusa Boss and landing on the roof at Cedars Sinai Hospital a block up the street. The Bar: Hmmm...Wine and beer only at this tasting. They are fine tuning their ABC application to have a full liquor license soon. But my Whiskey Sour made with Soju was sweet. You may wish to stick with the heroic Wine List and let Charles, The Somm with aplomb guide you. Who eats here? Those who can't crack into Stella or those who did get into Stella and couldn't a hear a word all night as everything is loud there. Amour trades Hip Hop for Henri Salvador. The Staff: Effrencient. Polite, professional. and proficient. The Food: Classic French with creative flourishes as created by a kitchen where taste and technique intersect. The Amouse Bouche was most amusing. A Bechamel and Truffle Sauced Gougere, with a razor thin slice of White Truffle balanced on it's edge on top. It looked like something from Lladro. White Asparagus in short supply were in their short season and served here as a "Tartare" draped with Tonburi (black plant seeds masquerading as "Caviar"). Pretty clever you Amouristas although chopping the Asparagus into little bits compromised the integrity of this specialty. I couldn't really taste the Asparagus until I dug deep under the seeds which were slightly musty. Kinda like eating a Dust Bunny. Sorry, I'm a purist. Steam the stalks and lay an Obi of Bearnaise across their waist. Voila. The Fennel Salad was spiritual. Bright and brilliant. Sliced Fennel tangled up with Castelvetrano Olives, perfectly trimmed Supremes of Mandarin Orange, Baby Pink Grapefruit, and Lemons and splashed with a Lemony Japanese Black Vinegar Dressing. The salad was vivacious and lovely. The Sole Menuiere was flawless. Lightly breaded and sauteed in Butter table side with the skill of a seasoned neurosurgeon. If I ever need my appendix removed I'm comin' here. Topped with Capers and a drizzle of melted Normandy Butter plus a gentle squeeze of Lemon turned this into a Piccata delicata. This dish also featured a puree of Parsnips and a pile of Fingerling Potatoes Crispy Mini Chips. A small bowl of vibrant salad with a light Vinaigrette set to the side enhanced the beheaded, betailed, deboned fish. The Sole held its crunch yet remained moist and translucent making this dish transcendent. Steak au Poivre boasted a generous pour of Red Wine Peppercorn au jus reduction, along with delicious salt encrusted Pee Wee Potatoes. The Steak came sliced into uniform pieces neatly stacked up like a deck of cards. In the pantheon of Steak au Poivre offered up around town this version raises the bar. Finally, the Basque Cheesecake with house made Cassis and Elderberry Sorbet was wonderful. Creamy, tart, and sweet all in one spoonful. Fine dining is like love making. If you don't have it all over you, you're doing it wrong. I'll have more amour, thank you.

Good food, poor service. Service started great, but as soon as we informed our server that we did not want to consume alcohol, his demeanor completely changed. More over, when we inquired about some items we saw other people posted on Yelp, as well as asking if they offer any complimentary bread (which we were told it's an $8 charge), our French server was very rude and disconnected from our party. We even had to ask for our water pitcher to be refilled but felt our server was inattentive. On the other hand, the atmosphere was really nice, but also questionable on why the music was SOO loud for such a fine dining establishment. It was Phil Collins music blasted at one point. Food was cooked very well, I definitely recommend the Tagliatelle au homard (creamy lobster sauce & lobster tail) which had a generous portion of lobster and creamy sauce. My friend enjoyed his Magret de canard roti (roasted duck breast sauce rum orange & carrot puree) which was cooked perfectly. If you're feeling adventurous, we tried the Fried Frog Legs which was had an interesting taste but it was nicely served with garlic herbs mayonnaise on the side which paired well. For dessert, we got the Profiteroles (crispy choux, vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce & pistachio) which was clean and well balanced. Overall, I'm not sure if I'd come back as we felt a bit unwelcomed, but the food and atmosphere definitely makes this a nice dinner for a date.

He entertained us the entire evening. Of course, Tiki cocktails served in kitschy glassware are the main attraction but they also offer Island inspired dishes if you are hungry. (You can also order food from Tail O' The Pup downstairs.) The building was once the recording studio for The Doors, so we had to order The Ghost of Jim Morrison. Sean delivered the flaming drink while singing a Doors tune. Elvis in Hawaii arrived on a platter with an Elvis head on it. Lucky Tiki Old Fashioned was presented in a treasure chest with smoke coming out of it. The Flying Fish came in a cool Blowfish vessel. The Lucky Mai Tai was one of the best, the Classic Daiquiri was nicely balanced, and the Rum Barrel packed a punch. Lucky Tiki is a fun bar with creative cocktails and little shows with some of the drinks, but too many tasted watered down (again, a lot of ice in the drinks). But the vibe is fun and it's a nice spot to come to with a group of friends.

For starters, we shared the Bruschetta with Burrata, which was enough for all four of us to enjoy. The baguette was perfectly toasted, and the burrata was so creamy.
